Hp pavilion x2 - Windows 10, 8, 7, XP etc.

Hello Guys,
I'm having a serious problem with my Hp Pavilion x2. I can't watch a movie in streaming video without having a bit rate problem ( it lags a lot, quite impossible to see a movie). I didn't ever had this problem with YouTube and ororo; this is why I thought about a driver problem and not an hardware one. I tried to change every possible settings and upgrade the gpu driver directly on Intel web site but the problem is still there, with consistent lag problem. Is there a solution? Some of you experienced the same problem ? Please help me if you can, thank you in advance for your help.
below the datasheet:
Intel Atom Z3736f 1.33GHz/2.16GHz
RAM 2,00 GB
Windows 10 32 bit
Video card Intel HD Graphics
Thanks for your help

Question to owners of the qtek9100

Hello,
I'm planning to buy a new pocket pc, my choice would be the qtek9100 or the qtek2020i. I've spend a lot of time reading and comparing, and need to know some information from the people who own a qtek9100.
1) Is the qtek9100 able to playback mp3 and run tomtom5 at the same time? I'm asking this because of the omap 850 (ti) cpu and the 64 mb internal memory, I know the omap has a different architecture then the xscale (intel) cpu and can not be compared butt when I use the device in my car I want it to be able to playback mp3 and show navigation at the same time.
3) Is it possible to use skype? Because the minimum requirments of skype is based on 400mhz intel cpu, I don't know how much the omap scores on the intel mhz scale.
2) Is it possible to playback video, without dropping frames?
I have serious doubts about the performace of the 9100 for the things I want to use the device. Any comments from owners would be welcome.
Does anyone know if its possible to put wm5 on qtek2020i? I tought I had read that wm5 is universal and works on any pda, just a matter of drivers.

ADVICE NEEDED: Tornado --> wizard

Hey all
I've got the following two devices:
HTC Tornado, and HTC Magician.
i LOVE pocketPC now that i've used one! i've got the chance to swap either the Magician for a Charmer (which is basically an m600 without wi-fi if im right) OR
My Tornado for a Wizard/Vario/XDA Mini S.
I'm wondering which one people think would be best to go for?
i hear theres WM6 for the wizard? true?
also, i'd like to know what video playback is like on the device, i.e does it HAVE to be overclocked in order to view an uncompressed 700mb AVI file using coreplayer?! also, people who have one currently, are you happy with it?!
thanx.
You have to play 320x240 videos on the Wizard as the processor can't cope with anything bigger. My old Alpine could play uncompressed DVD backups but the battery life was poor. The Wizard feels more responsive then my Alpine but is slower with some tasks.

Slow Speed and Streaming Problems

Hello all,
I have 3 problems with my Jasjam and would really appreciate your help with the same:
1] My Hermes seems to be running really slow. I installed Task Manager and even when there are NO programs running the cpu usage is around 50-60%[is this even normal?!]. Also, it gets really slow after i play a couple of games on it and then get back to the main screen. I have 22MB of RAM and 5 MB of onboard memory free. I also have a 2gb microsd card.
Speed is back to normal when i do a softreset.
2] It gets really really slow when i run PocketPlayer or Pocket Music via a2dp and i cannot run any other appz. I have tried both the widcomm and stock bluetooth stacks with my ht820 and the speeds are horrible. Is there any other player that i can try which will significantly improve this situation?
3]I have installed the resco file explorer and can browse the network shared drive on my pc via wifi. The problem is that when i run any video file from the network i keep getting pauses every 10 secs[i am using coreplayer]. TO resume i need to press play again and then it lasts for another 10secs.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Can you tell us which ROM version you have etc.....we need to know these details.
Hey dude,
I am using the standard stock rom that i got with the phone[ IMate Jasjam].
The about screen says
OS. 5.1.195[Build 14955.2.3.0]
I think it is AKU 2.3
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
G

Any cure to the video playback problem?

Sorry for my English but I just cannot describe in words completely.
I have had an O2 mini, Asus P535 and a HTC P3600 (known as Dopod D810 here). They are all capable of playing MPEG1 videos okay, except P3600.
By not okay I mean it is smooth with adequate frame rates, however, there are times that the trace of colors of the previous frame is left to the current frame. It's very unnatural and strange since the very identical video plays well in all other machines, including the HTC Touch with less processing power.
The similar problems happen in MPEG4 videos as well, no matter what video player (WMP, TCPMP, CorePlayer) is used. Again, the same file is doing just fine in older machines.
I learn that new models use Qualcomm video chipset, does it matter at all?
trin speed
remember you need to optimize video before playing on a trinity, you might need to re/trans code your videos.

what do you mean by "re/trans code" your videos? I too am having the same problem. I convert a lot of flash videos into an AVI format and when I had an Atom Life I had no problems playing them with tcpmp, but with the trinity, there are botches here and there.
at3m, how do I get all those codecs that mentioned?
thanks!

Skype on the shift

Hi
according to this video from JKontherun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1nlwLJefZE
skype is not working well on the shift, i dont seem to have any problems with it, but i havent used it that much, anybody run in to any problems?
Maybe it is the us version that have problems only
regards,
Allan
I find Skype video conference call performance to be pretty poor (at least with Aero on) using both the GSM and CDMA versions of the Shift. I haven't found an Intel A110 800MHz UMPC yet that handles Skype video calls smoothly under Vista .
Maybe with a little overclocking it will help Skype performance. I use Skype myself so when I get my device I hope we can get the overclocking resolved and see what happens.
Anyone take performance measurements to see what else, if anything, is tagging CPU and RAM when Skype is running? Maybe it will help if Vista itself is optimized a little.
skype is horrible in performances .. i have never been able to have a good video conference with skype .. it is the worst application ever :/

Have you ever tried ICQ's video conf? I tried it a few years back and it was awesome.

i don't remember that there was video conf on ICQ ! I should have tried but I was not a big ICQ user, and I haven't used ICQ for about 4 years.
I'd like Windows Live Call to be working here in Belgium .. because I have found that WinLiveMessenger was better than skype for video conf and audio call but the phone ability is not working here
So i've been doing some experiments and found a peculiarity... first i disabled all the Vista special effects (optimised for performance) and then stopped anything extra from starting up to conserve CPU and memory.
Now when i run Skype 3.6 and make a test call the CPU settles around 80% and if i use the inbuilt mic and speakers everything is fine. Audio quality is actually pretty good.
The problems start when i plug the headset in that came with the shift. Then, no matter how i try, the audio from the mic is choppy and makes a call impossible...
I tried to update the Realtek drivers but it says that they are the latest...
What's going on here? Why would it perform so poorly when i use the inbuilt headset? (i assume the mic's not broken...)
Anyone else had these troubles? Any suggestions? Would other audio drivers work?
Btw, i've also managed to do some pretty acceptable Video calls now too.

so i guess it just sucks under vista. kind of expected since i dont think the tablet edition uses as much resources as vista.
i remove virtual disk of winxp, there about 500M ram free, winxp and the application software under the system runs very fluently, and the LED of HD seldom flash.

nice find. looks like we all should go to xp tablet edition. or maybe ltxda will be able to optimize vista for us.
Hi, sounds excellent to me. Any chance of a "how to" guide for getting to where you are bg4qqz? i.e. Win XP Tablet + removing the virtual disk?
just use USB DVD driver to install winxp tablet, I tried 3 unit of DVD drivers, only one works, others two failed to installation system, just show blue screen with erro withe chats, then reboot.
I don't have xp drivers for WLAN, touch screen, BT and resolution button. others worked well
in my office, i use USB lan adapter, keyboard, and big LCD monitior work with shift to replace desktop, out side, i use shift edge connection for xp, and HTC S1 as the wifi adapter for shift.
Hope you guys get the drivers for xp done soon.
