Failed update file from Jide - Remix Ultratablet General

I've been attempting to update to the current 303 version, but keep getting the same errors. Support has been responding to emails and told me to reset the tablet which I did do but the same error occurs when I attempt to apply the OTA. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what is the work around?
Thanks.

It looks like your file is corupt. Inside the update file in install scripts there is a sha check of every file, looks like this check fails

Error caused by having rooted the tablet, Reverted to 1.5 applied all updates and no errors.

If you rooted and didn't make a backup before doing so then everytime there is an update ur going to have to start at 1.5 and build back up.

Just got a SGS, no download or recovery mode via key combo and faulty bootloader?

I might give this phone back since I cannot seem to do anything with it at all.
It all boots and works fine, but I can't update it with Kies (it says my device does not support software updating), even though it's still running 2.1-update1, and I can't get into either download or recovery using the three key combo.
Worse, when I got it into recovery via adb, it says, below the options I get:
Manual mode
appling multi-csc
installing multi-csc
mps-dat value: VOD
copy_multi_carrier from: VOD
multicsc : can not acces to /system/csc/VOD/system
copy_common_data
I did some googling and it seems this is a problem with Vodafone phones, but apparently it'll get fixed if I do an update... Except, as I said, Kies won't let me.
So, no download mode, potentially faulty recovery mode, no official update... What should I do to sort this? Or should I just give the handset back?
Thanks.
i am not sure.. bt i read somwhere about enabling 3 button combo & Download mode Fix! try checking smwhere in forums...

Do you have a link ?
well, flashing bootloaders is risky, so if you have the chance, i would tell you to take it back
Update it through KIES to the latest Gingerbread that it is provided in your country, and then the 3 buttons will work.

As I said in the OP, Kies doesn't work, it says my device cannot be updated.
Try to use Kies Registry Patcher to trick Kies to update.
Why u don't use a jig and force ur phone to download mode. Then flash newest 2.3.6 and u will be fine.AND ur 3 button combo will work!
This method costs u 3-7 euros and 5 minutes of ur time so go for it.
And even if u don't want newest 2.3.6 u can flash the official 2.3.3 via this way and update with kies in the future.

I can't use a registory hack for Kies because I'm on OS X.
If I boot the phone into download mode with adb then flash a ICS ROM with Heimdall, would that work? Would I have the three key combo after? Would it be risky? Obviously I'd root and do a Nandroid backup first.
Just take it back to the Vodafone shop or wherever you bought it. They usually have a technical department locally. They'll upgrade it for you which will sort out your kies and bootloader problems

I got it off a mate, so I reckon I will just take it back and get another one off eBay.

look, I've been there some eclair (2.1) roms had crippled bootloaders.
your solution to fixing is here http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/fix-3-button-combo-download-recovery-mode-in-samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000/
Then flash any newer rom
Odin only works on Windows. Can I do that process on Hiemdell on OS X?
dunno, only use Windows / Odin personally
TBH I might just buy the JIG for a few extra quid and use that. If it will boot my phone into download mode even if something goes wrong while I'm flashing a ROM, it'll work fine for me.
What's a reliable source to get the latest official ROM? And what's the best root method for 2.1 (I've seen a few)?

ok try a jig. I've got one and they work perfectly.
As for the rest it aint that easy. Time to do some reading. Plenty of info on these forums, but don't expect others to do it for you, after all, it'll take a few days for a jig to arrive - plenty of time to research
TBH I'm gonna give up and get a Desire HD or something. This Samsung is too much hassle and I've just found out my headphones don't work on it either, and that's a hardware problem.

You're best to get a jig either way - so if you get a replacement it'll work as a greak safetynet should all go pearshaped, aand itf you keep that phone it'll let you into download and you can solve your problem.
This is where I get most of my stock firmware from. Most of it contains bootloaders. Never had any issues with anything from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881

Enable Adoptable Storage ?
Like the Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE500KL), Adoptable Storage is disabled by looking at the changelog.
I'm about to buy this phone but I do really need it, I know it's possible to enable it back (with adb, etc) but I want to be sure before.
Can someone who switched to Android Marshmallow try to get it back and tell if they've succeeded on the Zenfone Selfie ?

Already fixed after posting that comment. Now working with CM but no more ASUS stock rom.
Can't flash the ROM on my phone
I already tried to flash this ROM with my phone (Build LRX22G.CN_user_1.13.40.661_20151103044030520_2015052101030030000500001) several times via "apply update via sd card" and as well via adb sideload. Both of them don't work. I also tried to flash different Lollipop stock firmwares (WW_1.12.40.382 and WW_1.15.40.1582), doesn't work either. I always get the errors: "E: failed to verify whole-file signature" and "E: signature verification failed". Can somebody help me?
Edit: I ordered the phone from China, maybe that's why I have this "strange" build number? Is there any possibility to flash Marshmallow on a Chinese phone? In my options menu I don't have any updates option unfortunately

Nobody knows a solution? I have tried to change the reocvery and the boot to the nougat version, and install the firmware manually, everything installs normally without errors, but when it connects it appears the following message "your device software can not be checked for corruption, Please lock the bootloader".
The cell phone is just that and I have to go back to the previous version!
I already took root, xposed and everything, and it always gives the same thing!

Raw firmware
I have the same issue. My phone was branded "tim italy". When i bought it, I flashed the WW version via asus flash tool, and I'm currently able to update till the last M version, which is the ......152.
If i try to update to Android N, my phone will not boot, giving me the corruption message and shutting down after 10 seconds. I also tried to perform the dm restore procedure; the dm error disappeared but the system is stuck on the Asus boot screen
I believe that the only solution is to flash a Nougat RAW firmware via asus Flash tool. Does Anyone have a download link for the N version ?
I have the same problem .. is there who can help?
`same problem can't update to nougat but my error is signature verification
hope someone can help us both

Disable "FRP lock" ¿with my google account?

Hi all
First of all, excuse me for my english I´ll try to be short
So, I bought a P10 plus, VKY-09C432B133, and thanks to the "tutorial for update" I unlocked the bootloader successfully, and installed TWRP. Then problems came:
- In fastboot mode, it says "Phone Unlocked", but "FRP lock" . (previously it was unlock, in green, I´m sure)
- Didn´t root the device
- I can not do any fastboot command, it always give an error (command not allowed or root type is risk). I think it´s because Frp is lock.
- Debugging mode, in developers options, always go to "off", no matter how many times I change "on" ... when I come back, it´s "off"
The question is .... ¿how can I set FRP unlock? this Huawei has always been mine, so always have had my google account. I have it already singed in, in it.
The only way I can "factory reset" is in TWRP., but it´s always the same.
Thanks !!
I'm in dead end, no way out

I don't dare to install a custom rom. I tried to do a twrp complete backup , in case there were any error installing the rom, but twrp gave an error and didn't complete backup.
So I don't dare...
Yes of course because ur internal storage is decrypted. Just flash my rom. Enable OEM Lock and then do what ever you want. Stay at the rom or install a new one with hwota... Your frp is gone after that.

If you extract the boot image from the REBORNON5.zip, you can flash that and then install Magisk. That reborn ROM installs SuperSu last, meaning the included boot image does not come pre-rooted...

Hi. I bricked my phone. not bocause of the TWRP, just becouse I was trying to debloat using root explorer, The point is that I tried to flash trough ODIN but, but its pointless. Using TWRP i erased by mistake all in the smartphone, system, data... everything. It could go to recovery using the 3 buttons procedure and aldso go to download mode. But afther flashung a ROM to restore, error, so when I tryed to turn on the blue screen stating that i had a bad flash and go to emergency recovery on smart switch shows. Never used smart switch, I mispalced the package of the phone (trow it away actually), dont have serial number information, the only thin that I thing id wrong is that ODIN erase the recovery. When I try to flash another one that I know for a fact is the rigth one for my device (metropcs samsung on5 gm-550t1 updated via OTA to the last official firmaware fron sansumg) the screen of the device afther the error shows me this message: sboot.bin FAIL! sw rev. check fail .devise:2 Binary: 1. My quuestion is this, can I install via odin the stock recovery, (i will stract it from the tar file) and install using odin? Could this be the solution so the flashing procedure work? Thanks. It worked well enough for my purpose. I used the device to repeat a neighboring wifi signal before I got my own. It never had a sim with service in it. Ran for days on end, plugged in on a high shelf.
