Yep, that's true...except there is only one ROM there currently, which directs users back to this forum. I know of one other over here that someone has made work with VZW, curious if more. Could I search/try each one? No doubt, but thought I would
ask to try to save time. Thanks!

Running ICE ROM here without problems, get it from the regular HTC 10 thread

LeeDroid works perfectly.

Generally devs tend to only release their roms in the main forum for a particular device...much easier to maintain.
Because of that, each rom usually states in the OP what it's compatible with.

Probably should have prefaced OP by saying I know my way around XDA, I know there is multiple model threads, and I have been to your link. Just trying to save a little digging effort. Some of those roms in your link support VZW model...was hoping folks could say which ones, and some folks have responded. Thanks!

I tried viper and leedroid. Stock Verizon rom still seems to be doing better job with reception. Much better I must say.

So I can finally upgrade my phone on Verizon. And one phone I was leaning towards was the HTC 10 mainly because it can be rooted and bootloader unlocked and Verizon tries their hardest to block root and bl unlock. So can anyone give me their honest opinion of the phone

Great phone. Fast, good battery life, gets hot sometimes, amazing community support. 9/10. Lots of reviews on this site.

What's hot to you? I haven't gotten this phone hot yet and I had the m9 before. This phone seems to do much better than the m9 on that front
To further answer the question..
Cameras are great.
Fit/finish are great
Speakers are so-so (I've heard with root mods they are better)
Missing some of the classic HTC apps but can be installed via apk mirror.
It's my favorite phone of all in the last two years.

Hot is noticeably hot in my hand. I've had EX Kernel Manager report temps reaching to the upper 40s C on an occasional basis. Usually it's the upper 30s or lower 40s after a few minutes of Facebook or web browsing.

NS4G for the birds

Hi, my name is Morgan and I'm a flashaholic. Thanks to Google, Sprint and Samsung I've become a raging flashaholic. Trying to get decent battery, fast UI, working GPS, and an overall stable phone, basically a working smartphone. I find a combo that runs well for a day, then rears its ugly head in the way of slowdown, crashes and or horrible battery life. I think it just comes down to the fact that this phone and network is half baked. Google doesn't fix their problems. They just add more and more features so that people don't notice the earlier bugs. I love all the devs out there trying to help, but there is a bigger problem at PLAY and it ain't just their app store
Sent from my Nexus S 4G. Currently running 04/05/12 nightly with Trinity 132. 1 hour of browsing and phones down to 60%. Yesterday it ran like a champ, today its a chump

hmm.. the t132 kernels isnt a battery loving kernel, its for performance. try the trinity t11 or teuv kernels. they are much better on battery. also, try draining your battery all the way, delete your batterystats.bin file, reboot, then charge it all the way.
trinity t11 cm9 version http://www.box.com/s/14ac5dc5581f71830ada
trinity teuv cm9 version http://www.box.com/s/eb76fd024998a795119b
Thanks Simms! I've tried it all. Other ROMS, KERNELS, Scripts, tweaks. No disrespect to you and yours, you guys have been putting out some of the best stuff for a while now, i always end up back at Trinity. It's a love hate relationship. My phone and I just had an argument. Being all strung out on Skank messes with a mans sanity

i think that thats your problem. how do you go flashing daily then skip a day? you probably stressed out your phone by denying it its fix. i know a flash(es) a day keeps my NS happy(rom once daily and kernels several times)

I used to feel the same...Turns out I was using a sub-par kernel.
I have been totally impressed with mine since I switched to MATR1X and started to learn more about governors and schedulers.
If someone handed me any another phone to use (pick one) It would sit in my junk drawer. I would still use my neXus.
Sorry your unhappy. Maybe switch to one of those HTC's for a few days, I'll see you when your back on the NS4G forum. Shouldn't take long.

Lol! Touche. Probably because I'd just gotten off work after taking escalation calls from other turds all day. I'm better after I get home and self medicate
But still, the OP could use some polish. It's confusing when it's all personal experience with no conclusion or question.

[Q] Where is the Verizon LG G2 XDA thread? Is the community that small?

The size of the phone is different. The carrier is different. The future compatibility of roms will probably be different. Is it like this since there's not that may support for this phone? Did I buy the wrong phone?

I'm wondering that too, but as long as I have root I could care less about ROM's honestly. I finally found a phone that I love.
I'm watching this also. I just put my brand new Note II on ebay in hopes of grabbing this phone.

Well I for one would love to see a clean rom on this phone.
Especially something that has a working Wifi Tether!

Well, I basically have the CleanROM by rooting it and using titanium backup to uninstall all the bloatware. Life is good.... except for the WiFi tether part. My unlimited data is being wasted.

Can't agree more. The only concern I have about running a rom is loosing the "knock knock" feature. I use it all the time, very rarely do I use the physical buttons.
Coming from a VZW Gnex and buying this phone out right so I didn't loose unlimited data is going to be a bummer if there is no rom support.
I'd love to see a CM rom for the VZW version. Loved it on my GNex, but like others I don't want to lose the knock on. That feature is brilliant.
I'm hoping this forum blows up after the release of the Note 3, when people realize this is the phone to have. Probably won't happen with all the advertising and hype. This G2 is awesomeness in my hand. Makes me sad that this phone won't make it into many developers hands. Fingers crossed that the G2 development section gets a little love.

Can't you just use the FoxFi app to teather? This seems to work regarless of root access, right?

CyanogenMod is here kinda

Well the good news is that they have CyanogenMod booting on a G3. Bad news is that it's only on the US T-Mobile variant. There's still a ton of work to be done but it's enough to get a little bit excited about.

So Tom Marshall has managed to fix the storage, Wifi modem, proximity sensor and the call and messaging radios. Only the audio/speakers, bluetooth, GPS and the camera to go.

F*** locked Bootloader.
Saturday, IFA in Berlin, i go to LG and make a little revolt.:good:
That is funny.
I tried the alpha build. fast as ****. smoother than butter. MELTED BUTTER. actually considering to use it tomorrow even without sound or good cell signal.
Great news. Many people I know (including me) are waiting for AOSP goodness on their G3.
It's a mater of time and hopefully someone can hack the boot loader

Dude. so fast. when this is optimized easily the fastest phone I've ever used BY FAR. right now it's miles faster than stock or any rom for g3 currently available. it actually makes you go wow. which this phone has yet to do for me. to say I am very excited is an understatement.
Honestly, my HTC One M8 was much smoother out of the box compared to my G3. Idk but I sure do hope that development for the G3 picks up soon.

I know this is about CyanogenMod on the G3, but for those of you that don't know, we had a guy put up an updated thread detailing his conversations with LG regarding the bootloader. They told him that they have no plans to unlock it, so we will have to wait and see if someone can unlock it themselves, probably voiding their warranty.
Hope LG will unlock the bootloader, we need roms man, the phone is lagging so much that i go back to my nexus 4. I cant wait to put cm on g3.
Bad news that it's for T-Mobile? Sounds like good news to me. Thanks for the info, I hardly ever use G+.

you are the second user talking about a beta test build here....I think there is a very selective "secret" closed beta test....which should not be discussed or spoiled here, but you are doing instead....pretty confused about the situation....
anyway, if this is true it confirms what I just said 2 days ago about MM update. HTC is having so much issues with this update, that a leak would be completely bad, and will drop users hope instead of hype them

The fact that there are beta tests isn't a "secret" at all. You can always sign up at HTC Preview (not only for the M9). Nevertheless you're not allowed to talk about anything related to beta builds since you have to sign a NDA beforehand.
Edit: I didn't sign up at HTC Preview and am not interest in doing so in the future so I guess this post cannot breach a NDA I never accepted.
Can I know the exact date when m9 will be getting 6.0 n what about battery issues and warming ? Will they minimize or worsen the battery

Nice troll post.
But, with the amount of kernel development going on behind the scenes in various threads, the second screen for AOSP project, monthly ROMs, the ability to update without losing root, and the many other things floating around the development section, I'm inclined to say you're wrong.
I don't agree that the device is dead, it's still popular and really is a good phone. It's fairly new and LG will keep it updated, so many will continue to use and customize it for a while.
But me personally, I can't wait for the Note 8!!! [emoji3]
