I've got a LG Leon LTE that works perfectly, except the selfie camera doesn't work, and is inaccessible from the standard camera app. There is no "swap camera" icon when I use the app. The rear camera works fine. I figured the camera itself had gone bad or somehow disconnected itself from the board, and I also own an LG Tribute 2 with working front and rear cameras, so I opened both phones and swapped cameras. The camera from the Leon worked fine in the Tribute 2, but the camera from the Tribute 2 is still inaccessible in the Leon. Still no "swap camera" icon in the camera app. Both phones are at Android Lollipop 5.1.1, Kernel version 3.10.49, Build LMY47V. Both phones are rooted. Can anyone please give me a clue as to why the standard camera app can't see the front (selfie) camera and what I can do about it? I've tried hard and soft resets and recoveries to no avail. Thanks in advance.

That works fine on the LG Tribute 2. The Tribute 2 also has 4 icons on the top of the screen when the camera app is opened, including a "swap camera" icon. There are only 3 icons on the top of the screen when the camera app is opened on the LG Leon, and the "swap camera" icon isn't one of them. "Swipe anywhere" has no effect on the LG Leon. In fact, the camera app in the LG Leon looks exactly like the camera app looked on the LG Tribute 2 after I physically removed the front camera from the Tribute 2, and rebooted the Tribute 2 without a front camera. So again, can anyone please give me a clue as to why the standard camera app can't see the front (selfie) camera in my LG Leon, and what I can do about it? Thanks in advance.

I have the stock Oreo rom and I'm using the stock camera app .
I have the phone since a couple months and I find the pictures of low quality when taking close-up pics. (A pictures of a keyboard will give me blurry letters numbers for example)
In the stock camera, I have no option like portrait mode, 2x zoom or dual watermark.
In most 3rd party app, the default camera is the front one.
For what I've tried in manual mode if I zoom in and out with a finger on one of the two camera I only get an image from the telephoto one and not from the wide-angle one.
Could it be that one of the 2 camera is not working or do I need to do something to enable something?
Should I sent it in warranty?

I've seen also in xiaomi forum that the default back camera is the wide-angle and that 3rd party app can't access the telephoto lens.
In my case the default camera is the telephoto lens and some 3rd parties app can't access my back camera.
Same happened with me, so I went to setvice center and they replaced both the cams. There is no other way. It is going to get worse day by day. My Telephoto lens was working fine but the standard one was taking blurry photos. At first it wasn't noticable but then it became more and more blurry.

Just like the title says, does your whatsapp also use the wide angle camera as standard?
It's pretty annoying because you can't change it.

Thanks to a quick search the fix to this is to toggle between the front and rear camera modes and it will cycle between front regular, rear regular, front wide and rear wide

Can anyone give me an insight? Everytime I choose selfie camera from the stock cam icon, the rear wide camera opens but the options are for front camera

I don't use the camera on my phone a lot but I just discovered that the standard wide camera can't focus anymore (it's all blurry, as shown in the first attached screenshot).
If I switch to the wide angle or zoom camera (the other 2 screenshots), no problem.
If I enable super macro mode on the standard wide camera, the problem disappear.
I tried to clear cache on the camera app but it didn't change anything.
I tried another app (gcam) and the problem is the same.
I checked that there was nothing on the lenses (dust...) or captors (lasers for the auto focus).
Do you guys have any new idea to help me ?
