Just like the title says, does your whatsapp also use the wide angle camera as standard?
It's pretty annoying because you can't change it.
Is this something Whatsapp should fix or samsung?
It looks like it's using the wide camera but cropped? Makes no sense.
It's definitely a bug and only Whatsapp can fix it, the app decides which cameras to use and how

Thanks to a quick search the fix to this is to toggle between the front and rear camera modes and it will cycle between front regular, rear regular, front wide and rear wide

I like manual camera! Price is 1-2 euros but gives you full control for everything: shutter speed, manual focus etc.

I have Snap too but I am not completely satisfied from Snap's quality. Maybe I have to play with the settings but I don't want to have such an app. I like good photos out of the box. Just launch the app and take the photo. Also I am searching a camera app that when your want to take a selfie in the dark, you can enable virtual flash that enables a white frame on the screen with maximum brightness in order to light your face. Hello. I'm currently using lastest RR rom from Woivod with Google Camera and I'm facing weird bug. Whenever I'm taking photo with front camera, the result photo is in grayscale also the real live view changes rapidly from color to grayscale. Is there someone who knows how to fix this?

I have the stock Oreo rom and I'm using the stock camera app .
I have the phone since a couple months and I find the pictures of low quality when taking close-up pics. (A pictures of a keyboard will give me blurry letters numbers for example)
In the stock camera, I have no option like portrait mode, 2x zoom or dual watermark.
In most 3rd party app, the default camera is the front one.
For what I've tried in manual mode if I zoom in and out with a finger on one of the two camera I only get an image from the telephoto one and not from the wide-angle one.
Could it be that one of the 2 camera is not working or do I need to do something to enable something?
Should I sent it in warranty?

I've seen also in xiaomi forum that the default back camera is the wide-angle and that 3rd party app can't access the telephoto lens.
In my case the default camera is the telephoto lens and some 3rd parties app can't access my back camera.
Same happened with me, so I went to setvice center and they replaced both the cams. There is no other way. It is going to get worse day by day. My Telephoto lens was working fine but the standard one was taking blurry photos. At first it wasn't noticable but then it became more and more blurry.

Can anyone give me an insight? Everytime I choose selfie camera from the stock cam icon, the rear wide camera opens but the options are for front camera

I don't use the camera on my phone a lot but I just discovered that the standard wide camera can't focus anymore (it's all blurry, as shown in the first attached screenshot).
If I switch to the wide angle or zoom camera (the other 2 screenshots), no problem.
If I enable super macro mode on the standard wide camera, the problem disappear.
I tried to clear cache on the camera app but it didn't change anything.
I tried another app (gcam) and the problem is the same.
I checked that there was nothing on the lenses (dust...) or captors (lasers for the auto focus).
Do you guys have any new idea to help me ?
