S5 Hardbricked, need debrick.img - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So my s5 g900v hardbricked. I've seen multiple threads on the subject at this site, but none have linked a debrick.img for 5.0(lollipop). If anyone has one i would be grateful.

Debrick image only works if it is exact. What firmware? What bootloader?
Example : PB1, Latest (Locked)
QT_BULK occurs in device I assume? If not, not hardbricked.

Yeah, qt_bulk.
Unfortunately, i don't know the firmware/bootloader. It just bricked on me back in March.
Going by sammobile's database, it could be BOG5, BOK3, or BPB1

G900v Hardbricked
Stock, standard S5 G900v. Started Occasionally giving error msg "System Service is not responding".
Googled this & found a common cause is an almost full SD card. Had a 2 gig card almost full, replaced with a 16 gig card, phone started constantly rebooting to splash screen, phone is now Hardbricked. How can I tell which bootloader & firmware are/were on the phone? As I stated, never rooted, took all ota updates, etc. device is recognized by my PC as Quallcom HS-USB QD Loader 9008. Thanks in advance for any/all advice.
Update: I found the original box from the phone & the SW version printed on the box ends in PF4 . Anyone have an unbrick image for this?

Technically any 6.0 debrick image should work. For s***s and giggles, you could even try the PB1 img posted earlier - it's also bootloader revision 2, so it theoretically might work. Really, you just need the img to get you back to a working Download mode so you can flash firmware again. If it doesn't work, I'd recommend looking on eBay for an S5 from a seller that accepts returns. Root it, create the img yourself (instructions are here on XDA), and then return the phone

You did actually burn/write it to the card, correct? You didn't just simply transfer the Img to the card storage?

You may want to realize the difference between a EFS-based bootloop, versus what I am looking for after a hard brick.
But thank you for your input.
How did you brick it? - Reason I ask, is cause the w8 is downgradable from 4.4.2 so bootloader playing should not have affected you. Unless you flashed something on it you shouldn't have?
Its not mine, but for someone else who asked me to help. I am not sure how it was bricked. Regardless it is a hard brick..

Hello i'm about to perform this method..Just wanted to confirm with someone that I can use any of the debrick.img provided for version 4.4.2 on my w8. Thanks! I hope to god this works!
Just and FYI -
You don't mention it in the steps about actually putting the sdcard with the unbrick image into the phone again. I assume at or after 3.3 .
Unbelievable ! This worked for me as well. This feature of the Note 3 makes it tinkerer's dream, it makes it virtually brick-proof. I thought I was done when I could not get back to download mode. I was starting to plan out what I was going to do for my next phone.
By the way in my case it was a N900W8 from Puerto Rico. I purchased it locked to Clairo and unlocked it and flashed to Telus stock ROM. If anyone else has gone this route this method works to unbrick. At first it would not go into download, I had to pull the battery and let it sit for a day. The next day I put in a fresh battery and it booted right to the download selector screen. WAhooo! ...and I was off to the races. Much thanks to the OP and the OOP for this solution.
FYI - formatting the sdcard with the boot recovery partition makes it unusable in the state. Just reformat it again to Fat32 and you can use it as a sdcard again. If you have trouble formatting it I used Mini Tools Partition Wizard, it does the trick.

[Q] (for me) unrecoverable softbrick

Guys, I need a hand here, as I hit a solid brick wall and no amount of scouring the forums helped me find a suitable solution.
Hardware involved:
Galaxy Note 3 N9005 that was running 4.4.2 (bought unlocked)
iMac with Yosemite and Parallels with Ubuntu and Windows 10 with Heimdall and Odin 3.09 installed
What I set out to do: root & install clockworkmod recovery with the ultimate goal to install Linux on Android. I had my previous Note 2 and LG P990 rooted too, so I was not entirely new to the procedure.
What I "achieved": Heimdall would not work at all due to a problem that apparently affects all Samsung 4.4.2 devices. So I got Parallels on my Mac and installed Windows 10 Technical Preview to run Odin. After several attempts I finally managed to got Odin to say "PASS" on the CF Auto-Root procedure. However, the phone would not boot anymore and always return to it's ODIN state. But I also succeeded to get Clockworkmod installed.
With that I installed Cyanogen, thinking to be able to get around the booting problem. I wasn't. Now when booting Cyanogen, I get a message that encryption was unsuccesful and the device needs to be restored.
I would like to comply and downloaded the stock files for restoring through Odin, but now even with the device in the proper ODIN download state, the phone is no longer recognized by the Software. Tried about a hundred times now with reboot etc. and nothing seems to work. Even KIES does note recognize the phone anymore.
I can enter CWM and Odin modes just fine. I just can't boot and I can't get it recognized by my Mac anymore. My best guess is I unintentionally screwed up the partition table / PIT file and now I can't restore it anymore.
I am at the end of the rope here and getting desperate, any suggestions (preferably step by step) would be most welcome!

It's very weird that in Download Mode Odin don't recognize your device. Remember that you need Kies 3 for android 4.4.2 and Kies 3 has to be completely closed for use ODIN.

Ok, I tried on my Win Laptop from work now and Odin can recognize the Smartphone there. I will take it home on the weekend to go further.
However, a hasty try to flash the stock rom (Vodafone NL Lollipop) resulted in the same "encryption failed" error I had before. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Hi there Joku!
Just tried the Polish Lollipop Firmware and it still keeps displaying the "Encryption failed" error. It looks like it does not matter which file I flash, it will keep showing the same error.
Like I said, I believe I somehow broke the PIT file of the phone. Any ideas how to fix this?

Rene
Try this pit file.

Put it on pit field. Set repartition on and auto reboot. If all goes well then try to flash the Vodafone NL 4.4.2 rom (it's the one I use so I know that this pit file works with it).

Thanks DeuXGod, but by now I more or less stumbled on the solution by trial and error. I'll post it here, hoping that somebody may benefit from my endeavours in the future. As a n00b I can't post links though. Sorry for that.
I do not know if all the steps are necessary or correct, but in the end they did lead me back to a working device. :fingers-crossed:
After trying a few PIT files here in the forums, the problems did not go away. Some of them would lead to a phone that just got stuck at the "Samsung" screen and would not fully boot up.
So I got the idea to flash back the "old" Dutch 4.4.2 ROM, which I downloaded from Sammobile and flashed in ODIN. After booting it showed a bit of a different error message, saying the file system was corrupted
I googled for this and stumbled on a small ZIP file that is supposed to fix "cannot mount DATA / EFS errors". I loaded this on my SDXC.
Flashed aforementioned ZIP file through the recovery from the SDXC.
After rebooting it still showed the same error, so I got back to recovery, did a factory reset and a cache wipe.
Another reboot and much to my surprise (and great relief) the phone booted up normally again!
From there I thought that if this worked, the Polish 5.0 should work too. I flashed it. Flashed CF Auto Root after that and everything seems to be working fine!
I set everything up and the phone is now restoring the apps etc. So far looking very good!

[Q] I hard bricked my T-Mobile Note 4. Does anyone have a debrick file?

I did something really dumb tonight. I was trying to flash CM12.1 on my note 4, and before I rebooted the phone, a prompt came up which asked if I wanted to root the phone. Since my phone was already rooted with the stock software I had before, and because I wanted to keep my phone rooted, I selected yes.
Big mistake! My phone then shut off and now won't turn back on. I guess what ended up happening is the phone was trying to read a file that wasn't there (since I already clean flashed CM12.1 on the phone), and subsequently caused it to brick. I don't know what I was thinking by selecting yes. Very stupid of me.
Anyways, I figure if I can get a debrick file and put it on an SD card, I should be able to frankenstein my phone back from the dead. I've done it before in the past with a Samsung Galaxy S3, so I know it's possible. I've scoured google for a debrick file for the T-Mobile variant (N910T), and I've come up with nothing so far. If anyone knows of a debrick file that exists for the T-Mobile Note 4, or can provide me with one, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

hi there ... did you ever get one of these? I need a debrick file too for my Note 4!
I have a thread with a file, that if someone with the COD6 bootloader will run and upload the results that will fix my device and any others on the COD6 bootloader.
Just run this Unbrick Image Creator in recovery & it'll create "/sdcard/Unbrick_Files" in your internal SD card.

If you can get to download mode, you can fix this issue. Odin back to stock!

Try to find a stock service images for your note to flash with Odin. These service images are separated files that you put in Odin in PIT BL AP CP. Also I would suggest that you try it first with KK rather than lollipop.

Odin-compatible G900AUCU4BOF2 stock rom?

Hi, I'm stupid and bricked my phone.
I had rooted almost immediately after getting my phone, AT&T SM-G900A, and had no problems.
Used FlashFire to apply the 5.0 pre-rooted stock rom (OC4), and had no problems.
Decided today to use SuperSU's "Full Unroot" function, rebooted, and now I can't get past the AT&T logo on boot. And apparently even after that the phone is still rooted.
Tried the G900AUCU3BOC4-OneClick.exe Odin flasher, but it fails and I get "sw rev check fail [aboot]: fused 4 > binary 3" which from what I understand means I am trying to install a rom version that is older than the one I currently have.
Looked on the internet to see if there is any Odin-compatible tar.md5 file for the newer versions, hoping one of those would let me update. However, I can only find .zip files made by muniz_ri. Tried copying those to my microSD card and install through recovery, but it fails with "invalid header". It looks like those zip files only work with FlashFire, which I can't even get to anymore because I can't boot.
Is there a floating copy of one of the newer stock roms (can be unrooted, I don't care) that I can flash with Odin? Or is there another secret I am missing? I have been through dozens of threads here on the forums and they all seem to have a solution that just give me any results.
Thanks for any help!

Hello, try looking for G900A_OF2_Stock_Rooted_Rom.zip I think that is the file you are looking for. In case you dont find it I could upload it.
(I guess that was the file I used, downloaded a lot of ROMs that time)

Is my 6P hard bricked?

Today I tried to flash the Feb update using Flashfire, like I did every month since I got the phone. As usual I downloaded the full factory image, select boot, system, vendor, cache, bootloader and radio. The first phase worked fine, but when it came to the bootloader there was an error about not having enough space. After it rebooted, nothing... black screen with no signs of any activity, not even when I plug in the charger! Tried holding the power for minutes, with all vol up/down combination, but nothing worked.
If I connect it to my laptop it gets detected as the infamous "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" under ports. I tried an old guide that uses QFIL, but I believe I need specific files or firmware for the 6P to use with it. Do I have a pretty paperweight or is there any hope to recover from this? If it helps I have an EFS backup I made months ago with TWRP.
Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the reply. The first link with the factory firmware doesn't work anymore. Do you know where I can get it?
Type in "Google factory images for Nexus 6p " they are published by Google just download and unzip with 7 zip then put in a directory and adb from that directory.
If the bootloader is locked you might be screwed.
Normally the first thing you do is unlock the bootloader then root it and install whatever rom or factory image you want. But never locked the bootloader after flashing anything because of there's a problem you can't reflash if the bootloaders locked and if it blackscreens then you can't access developers option to allow the flash to happen

OP can't access bootloader anyway...
@MaxNXS you can download "nexus6p_fix_bricked" firmware using "Advanced Download Manager" ADM on PlayStore using its built-in browser with"desktop mode" enabled...
Worked for me...
Hope that helps...
I'm not sure if the firmware in question is the regular Google Factory Image.
Today's lesson... Don't use FlashFire for image flashing especially with a locked boot

It's to recover from EDL(9008) use a Google factory image

Driver issue maybe
Ask @tenfar
Hey man. I'm in the same boat as you. Except the factory image flashed fine and I got into the OS as usual. But after starting the app updates, I tried waking it up 20 minutes later and nothing. Black screen since. XiaoMiFlash and QFIL complain about the usual sahara or firehose. Tried nexus6p_fix_brick and 8675_W00. Nothing works!
Mine went to update and never came on again. To top it off it was stollen from under my seat of my work truck so I have zero chance of getting another. Im all One plus from here on out. ?
