Need stock recovery img for Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM-S820L) - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried to post in the main galaxy grand prime forum but it said my post count needed to be higher so I'm posting here. I recently installed TWRP without backing up my stock recovery, and I really need a copy of it, as TWRP has no backlight and is completely unresponsive. any help would be great! Thanks.

also, I can't get into the actual OS. It automatically boots to TWRP...

Galaxy Tab 10.1(n) CWM/TWRP Rolling Screen, need Recovery Fix

Hello
I've an old Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1n (GT-P7511) and I tried to root it with a rooting guide.
After I installed CWM with ODIN, the CWM Homescreen was flickering. So I looked for an fix (I found one, but the website with the fix was down [ismaakit.com])
After that I tried to install TWRP, but the recovery had an rolling screen too.
Has anybody a new link or the file on his computer?
Thanks :good:

Hi, my Galaxy Tab 10.1 is rooted and boot up in cyanogenmod but I can not enter TeamWinRecovery neither ClockWorkRecovery, the recovery screen is rolling down and I can not see anything, I did not find the solution but I want to join your enquiry and post, I've read some people had same issue, I hope we found the solution.
Yes! Just try to flash twrp 2.8 version and not the 3.0 or 3.1 (with odin)

Messed up my Flashing somehow

I wanted to install Xposed on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-910C Version 6.0.1
So through a lot of "googling" i found a way to root my phone with Chainfire through Odin Flashing, which worked (Root Checker confirmed it so i guess it worked)
After a few more google searches i managed to flash TWRP Recovery through Odin which also worked.
Here's where i went a bit off instructions: After TWRP i went on to attempt installing Xposed Firmware on to my phone. I downloaded An Xposed APK from the instruction website i was reading but it also required i download another Xposed file which i went on to install through TWRP recovery. This particular File i donwloaded from another source since the one on the instruction site's mirror was broken, it was Armv7 and it matched what my phone's hardware required.
After installing this Xposed file on TWRP i went on to reboot my phone but before this TWRP told me that root access wasn't installed and prompted me to install SuperSU, this really confused me since Root checker said that i already had Super User turned On. I don't know why but i actually agreed to it and installed it AGAIN.
My phone rebooted until the animated Samsung Logo came on and it never moved past that for about an hour.
Right now all i can do is pull my battery out and boot recovery, i tried factory resetting my phone and wiping everything. now what happens is TWRP keeps on prompting me to install SuperSU and now it doesn't even reach the animated Samsung logo it always gets stuck on the [Samsung GALAXY Note 4].
I'm sorry if i posted this text wall but i thought these details might help, can anyone help me?
Edit: Sorry for the title don't know how to change it, fyi i wanted to change that to "Messed up trying to install Xposed Framework"

Since you have twrp, find supersu.zip and save into sdcard. Flash supersu.zip to gain root access. And for xposed. Make sure it is arm-sdk23.

Did a quick google search do these work?
download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
androidsage.com/2016/04/06/how-to-install-xposed-framework-on-marshmallow-update-with-xposed-v81/
and btw how exactly do i save this into my sd card, i can't get past the product logo.
also thanks a lot for replying man
edit: oh wait if you mean put the zips into an external sd card imma try that now. thx
Hi,
You have to use custom built version of xposed if you use stock or any touchwiz-based-rom(other versions cause bootloops). Just google 'xposed custom build by wanam'. Hope that helps.
Just wanted to clear some stuff up, if i am able to flash supersu.zip and a custom built xposed framework, will my phone stop getting stuck on the product logo?
Because being unable to use my phone normally is my top priority right now. The root and getting xpose3d installed is secondary. I really can't get through the product logo, i hope someone can shed some light on this.
but still, i really appreciate your replies.

I strongly believe you flashed wrong xposed zip. There is no arm7 zip by wanam. Hence find arm-sdk23. I think the last 1 is v81.
Supersu is just to give you root access. I won't causing phone to stuck at boot logo. Or do you mean splash screen showing 'samsung galaxy note 4'?

I honestly don't know if that will solve the problem, but you can try it. If it doesn't work, try flashing a rom via recovery or stock rom via odin. Since your data is already gone, I would suggest you wiping your phone completely and flashing a custom rom(I have a SM-N910C as well and I use erobot). Before doing anything, do a full backup in recovery, just in case.
Edit: If you wiped everything in recovery, including /system, that is probably the reason why your phone is stuck. Flash a rom and yo should be good.
Yeah that one exactly, splash screen showing note 4.
so based on what you guys said i should first flash a ROM so it works normally and then i can attempt for Supersu and Xposed arm-sdk23? was watching this random video you think i might have somehow wiped my touchwiz OS? was fiddling around in the Recovery trying to solve it you think i might have done that?
Since you have the same phone and you are using erobot i might go for that same ROM just to be on the safe side, i don't want to try something random.
So first try flashing custom ROM >> SuperSU >> Xposed
That's what i'm going for (i might need confirmation haha kinda scared now, i think i almost bricked my phone)
I believe your phone has to be rooted before you can install a custom rom. I can't tell if your is, but I would do the following:
Make a full backup in twrp>flash supersu again just to make sure the phone has root access>flash a custom rom.zip from your SD card>boot the custom rom, if everything works, flash xposed CUSTOM BUILD(!) and install the xposed installer.apk
I am not a pro, so wait for someone to confirm what I have written. I suggest you to use erobot as your custom rom because of the user-friendly aroma installer. Erobot is prerooted if you choose custom kernel in aroma installer, so keep in mind not to choose stock kernel.
Hope it helped
SuperSU >> Erobot >> Xposed
Ok got it, its currently 23:36 here in the Philippines guess i'm going to sleep, i'm doin that stuff tomorrow confirmation or not.
I can't really afford to throw this phone and it was a gift. So you guys have no idea how much i appreciate your help. /downslash/ Rosli thanks a bunch guys. goodnight
Hi there.. dont worry about the su not install button.. its common as i've aslo rooted my phone through chainfire an it does show me too. Click on do not install..an yeah you have flashed wrong xposed that bricked your phone.. did you backed up your phone before flashing xposed framework? If so try to restore..if not try to get in downloading mod an flash the official framework through odin.. try visiting sammobile.com there tou will get the official framework.. before flashing read ann the instruction or take a look to video tutorial on youtube about how to unbrick phone.. this might help you all the best

No input in TWRP

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Core Prime
MetroPCS
Model: SM-G360T1
ROM and Kernal: Stock
Issue: Touchscreen doesn't work in TWRP.
Links:
Where I got TWRP: https://dl.twrp.me/coreprimelte/
The guide I followed: http://www.android.gs/install-twrp-recovery-v3-0-0-on-samsung-galaxy-core-prime/
I got this phone from a friend. I tried to install TWRP via ODIN, but I've had some trouble. Initially, when I installed TWRP it didn't appear after I rebooted the phone. After doing some research, I found that this is normal for stock ROM's, and that they tend to replace any custom recovery with the stock one. I learned that in order to access TWRP, I need to remove the batter before rebooting, and then reboot directly into TWRP without letting the OS see the light of day. But when I get to TWRP, the touchscreen breaks. I can't interact with anything. I can still boot into the operating system just fine, but doing so removes the recovery, and I can't interact with TWRP outside of locking it by using the power button. I think this issue could be solved by installing a custom ROM, but I don't know if that's even possible without TWRP. This seems to be a loop of nothing, never going anywhere.
All I need is for the touchscreen to work in TWRP, I can handle the rest from there. Thank you for any help, and Happy Holidays!
Edit: After further research, I've discovered that the problem could lay in the recovery I'm using. I'm trying to install the latest TWRP version found in the link above, but I've tried almost all of them. Is there any information on any specific version of TWRP I should use?

SM-J500F/DS cannot boot

Hi to all,
had root this device on 6.0.1 with TWRP. Now I needed a full reset due to a Bluetooth problem to check if its root/software related. BUT on my mistake I erased EVERYTHING through TWRP (Dalvik/ART Cahe,System,Data,Internal Storage,Cache, Micro SD, Android Secure, USB-OTG)
Tried to install custom rom Aospextended but I don't know the how to and I am lost in forums.. the phone doesn't boot... after zip file installation the screen fades to somewhat yellowish like LCD problem... I can still access TWRP..
p.s. I am an iPhone guy and just tried to fix this for my son... hope for your understanding for probably asking something very common..!
ANY HELP WOULD BE greatly appreciated even to get back to stock rom
Many thanks in advance!

You must go to section Samsung j5 2015 you will find all you need, since restoring to stock, rooting, installing the correct TWRP for your device....and more.
You NEED to READ because too much information for one post, but this is the correct place for you.
Pay attention the correct files TWRP for 601 because there are TWRP for lollipop devices, and when choosing ROMs you MUST downgrade your firmware to Lollipop, that's the reason for artifacts and greenish screen because of incompatibility of TWRP and there are ROMs that you can install with twrp601, others need booltloader and twrp lollipop. Hope you are nota blind anymore

I had the same problem when flashing Lineage 14.1 on my phone (J500M), screen fadding with a green-yellowish color and no boot. That happened because I was trying to flash the custon Rom with the wrong base. I was using 6.0 before flashing and Lineage requires you start from 5.1.
All I need to do was search for my device on sammobile.com , get the right stock firmware and use Odin to flash the rom on my device. From there I was able to flash TWRP again and install Lineage correctly.

You have two solutions, you can restore your phone STOCK ROM with Samsung Smart Switch or downgrade to Lollypop firmware and install any custom rom trough TWRP.
Restore to STOCK:
Use Samsung Smart Switch, see howto here
Downgrade to Lollipop:
Install only Bootloader/Modem [6.0.1/5.1.1]BOOTLOADER AND MODEM FOR J500xx [Downgrade more easy] (Collection)
Downgrade to Lollypop (full ROM) (Tutorial) Upgrade J5 (2015) to 6.0 and Downgrade to 5.1.1 + Rooting

Stuck with flashing custom rom

Hello everyone, first of all am a newbie and I am trying to flash my Note3 with custom rom, I installed twrp using Odin, first I faced an error that Everytime Odin will say pass but phone will boot normal, how ever I find the solution by unchecking auto reboot in Odin, after pass I'll unplug the device, pull off battery then restart and it will get me to term recovery and it works fine afterwards. I tried installing few custom ROMs like magma nx, dark lord x etc but after everything done phone get stuck in bootloop. First I did the same and got stuck then I did a stock rom flash and got the phone working again, how ever I tried flashing again with magma nx and it got away from Samsung logo to pyeongchang edition logo and got stuck there, all the roms I tried give me same error. Am using twrp 2.8.7.0. I had also rooted using SuperSU, how can I get past this? Any help will be appreciated.. thank you

FAQ
Q: I have bootloop right after I flash the ROM
2. In first boot, when asked to "Consent for Diagnostic Report", you forgot to uncheck it. As written in OP, you have to "uncheck" the Consent for Diagnostic Report.
To solve it:
1. Power off phone
2. Remove sim card
3. Boot to ROM.
4. Go to settings/general management
5. Disable "Report Diagnostic Info"
6. Power off Device.
7. Insert sim card.
8. Boot up phone and continue using it
Managed to make them work already, thanks for the help bro.. appreciate it
I managed to work around the issue of bootloop bro, it had something to do with the kernal , I already flashed to magma and it is working now, how ever I was curious that each time when I restart the phone, it took a bit time to load up, like note 3 logo first, then magma note 8 logo, then after that it says optimizing apps and actually it shows around 240 apps or so, is it normal or is there any workarounds for the same? (How ever, boots up fine but boot up time is around 7-12 min approx)
