I don't really see a reason as to why someone would want to downgrade back to 5.1.1 as 6.0.1 is amazing. Thanks for the tutorial anyways.
Btw the google drive link doesn't work.

There doesn't seem to be any fix for this. Some users posted that they managed to change to another rom, but they lost the IMEI and baseband. And they don't seem to be able to restore any of them. Even with a backup.
Probably not possible because you also can't downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3, so it makes sense that you can't downgrade.
R U sure
Folks,
I have the same problem.....
Tried to rollback to 4.4.2 and failed.... And I don't want to root>>>>
Did anyone tried some powefull tool to force the downgrade?

i had the same prb with my s4 i9500 black edition. what i did is that i installed the official releas of android 5.0.1 (that you can find it in XDA forum) with odin than i downgrad it to 4.4.2 and the phone works.
I hope that it will work for you too
Is there a guide available to downgrade the 19505 from Lollipop ( at the moment i am using Official Cyanogenmod 12 5.0.2) to Kitkat ? I miss the features of the Xposed Modules very badly. In my opinion it is a disadvantage to upgrade your phone to Lollipop .

thank you ,
but are u sure ? cause some guys said the same when i tried to flash some n910c theme , but i flashe without ant problem.
anyway , what is the difference between n910c and 910h ?
No. I will not work and may brick the device. The cooked/ custom ROM that you installed does not normally include "modem". The main difference is on the "modem". The official lollipop fw for N910C include its modem.

No we cant flash new update for N910C to our N910H
because we need modem and bootloader and maybe pit file to support android 5
we must wait for update for our device.
Any odin firmware flash has to be flashed to that specific model number or it will brick your phone. What you are waiting for is just the rom extracted or even the modem extracted to flash separetly.

Yes it is possible. I'm gonna test it. Downloading the ROM to my server and then I'm gonna download it to my computer and modify it. If it worked, I'll post a direct link and a tutorial over here. And by direct link I mean you get to download the ROM from my server with the highest possible speed and not from that cheepskate Sammobile. By the way, if there are any Iranians here, let me know.
And this was tested by some other guy, I figured, I'd give it a shot.
Note that after flashing this rom that I'm testing, your phone will have STOCK Rom from Samsung and LTE and Download Booster will be enabled on your N910H but in settings it's gonna say you have N910C.
P.S. Hit the thumbs up

Dude
Just download the latest Lollipop from Samsung and you will be always safe.
To install a Custom Lollipop you should first flash the respective Bootloader and Modem that are contained into Samsung's release.
What I've told you will ALWAYS work. Flash a Sammobile firmware corresponding to the Custom ROM version you are intending regardless if it's LL or MM.

thx in advance
Hi ammarsg
To play safe and assure everything will work fine you should always match the ROM firmware code with your Bootloader+Modem Code
For example:
If you flash a Lolipop 5.1.1 XXU1AOH2 would be great if your BL+Modem could have the same code. This is not always possible so you have to find the closest one regarding your model/region.
The same will happen to a Marshmallow 6.0.1 XXU2DPE5. You should find a Marshmallow as closest as of the ROM for your BL+Modem.
It wont work if you mix Lollipop x Marshmallow.
The only overhead you will have while flashing an entire Sammobile firmware is that it will overwrite your Custom Recovery so you will have to flash it too again using Odin before the ROM.
If you are able to find ONLY the Bootloader+Modem needed for your model/region it will be easier but it's not usually available.
Hope you have understood now.
Nice regards.

galaxy j500h 5.1.1 downgrade problem

okay so i have this lil problem on my galaxy j5
a few months ago ive found this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/how-to/tutorial-upgrade-j5-2015-to-6-0-t3443904 so i tried to upgrade my phone to android 6.0.1(firmware: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=D2F21816700B11E69B2DFA163EE8F90B) and it works perfectly fine tho
but im trying to downgrade to 5.1.1 coz i cant install any custom mods and kernels so i tried to flash a android 5.1.1 firmware(http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=F33B6BD4400411E6815B0CC47A44B7B2) which it gave me bootloops
i tried to re-flash it to android 6.0.1 firmware i recently downloaded. it works and it starts up ok but it says that the system is not running and it should be factory reset--something like that. so ive factory reset my phone and again..it gave me bootloops
fortunately ive recently did some twrp backup and good thing it worked fine. but the problem is that the recovery didnt backup my phone password(which im stucked rn bcoz i cant type my main phone password)
im preety stuck here and if i factory reset again it still gives me bootloops
pls bear with me if you dont really understand my problem(im not that fluent in english)

I dont own that device, but i thing this would work:
Flash latest 6.0 firmware with samsung smart swich (PC), enable oem unlock in settings, flash twrp for 6.0 with latest odin, do a factory reset and a full wipe (except external sd an android secure). Then download latest 5.1 firmware for your device an flash it with odin (it will take some time).

Hai bro,,,
u try this one after flashing offical firmware simply reboot your device into recovery mode by pressing Power + Home + Volume UP and do a wipe data/factory reset, and wipe cache partitions then reboot your device, it will start properly and all problems are now solved,,,,,

With the J500H, Samsung decided to lock the bootloader, meaning you can't downgrade. J500h seems to be the only locked device. Unless someone finds a way to unlock the bootloader then you are stuck on 6.0.1.

Firmware downgrade Samsung J500H from MarshMallow with the second loader to LP.
Those who are faced with the inability to roll back to version 5.1.1 are uncomfortable with using their phone.
We need to either use the Philippine firmware or install a custom firmware Belousova.
I found an acceptable way to flash my phone with a stock firmware.
For rollback, we need a four-file stock firmware J500HXXU1APA5 or J500HXXS1APE1.
File BL with the second loader BL_J500HXXU1APA5_CL958143_QB8363487_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar or BL_J500HXXS1APE1_CL1011281_QB9453563_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar .

Please note: these files for the regions: CAC, CAU, SEK, SER, SKZ.
In other regions, wi-fi or a radio module may not work.

You can see video here.

First update to MM have the some botloader like LP. But next update have other bootloader and you can't boot LP with odin to your telephon.
10:32 And some more - Philippines firmware LP 5.1.1 have second bootloader. You can downgrade from last update MM to LP 5.1.1 very easy.

I found how I can help for you.
You may download firmware from here :"goo.gl/Yk1Byz" and unzip and flash in odin this firmware.
Then if some hardware not working you may download firmware for your region from here:"goo.gl/SdcwhA"
and unzip repeat the flash with odin but with one file firmware.
And If you don't update your telephon to MM you can flash telephon using only this stock firmware. Save it. First file you can delete.
I am sorry - in first step you may set BL for APE1 file from my blog . It have second bootloader for firmware.

Downgrading Samsung Galaxy J5 (Marshmallow to Lollipop)

Ok guys, This has not been just a problem of mine but also every Galaxy J5 users. The marshmallow update has quite a good UI and other stuffs. But in long term use I found this really annoying. And I want to downgrade the firmware. So I downloaded the latest firmware from sammobile.com . Now using odin when I try downgrading, I get the problem
sw rev check fail :[aboot]fused 2>binary 1
The model is:J500H(2015)
Is the downgrade really impossible? I even tried using TWRP but it isn't working either. I eagerly wanna go to lollipop while marshmallow is getting frustating day and again. So guys if you have any solution regarding this please suggest me..

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to downgrade as far as I know. It only happened for J500H and there is a warning thread, but not all people are aware of that...

Is it still the case? I tried flashing it recently and it just showed my green static and soft bricked my device.
