Dear
The method of using "supersume", doesn't work surely. I tried it personally.
And the other link u provided is for replacing kingroot with supersu only.
I made this thread for people to get the whole procedure at the same place, no need to Google more.
Hope you understand ?
And ur question is really appreciated ?
Sent from my C6603 using XDA-Developers mobile app

Doesn't work for me. Did everything exactly like you said, but trying to update supersu binaries didnt work.
I then rebooted and got a soft brick until I wipe dalvik and cache from recovery.

Bro now tell me, is that problem still exists.
If yes.
U can just flash system using Twrp backup.
And then follow the procedure again but with a new version of kingroot.
Bro this method is personally used by myself, and always works for me. You can check the images.zip file. That is my own phone.
No fake things, my only motive.
????

What do you mean does it still exist. I literally just tried it yesterday.
I used the newest version of Kingroot and still that happened, but then again I dont use stock rom so that is probably interfering with it.
I probably just stick with Kingroot, it doesnt seem so bad.

As u wish bro.
And u can stick to kingroot.
Happy root to u btw.
And being an xz user, u can join WhatsApp group for xz, there u can find the solution (same as above, many people did like this only)
Or find another thread.
????

Tried this method. The phone was stuck at the bootanimation. I forced restart it and now it is stuck at the App Optimization page.
C6002, 5.1.1, Bootloader Locked, Completely Stock. Any help?

[GUIDE] Flashing ROMs to the Vivo Air

Alright, so following some prodding, searching, and questioning, I flashed MIUI V6 to my BLU Vivo Air alongside TWRP.
I will update this post with a detailed, step-by-step guide including my own personal mirrors for your convenience and those of you without 4PDA accounts, which is the Russian equivalent of XDA.
Upon booting, I noticed apps force closing without being launched. Namely Hangouts and Newsstand. I'm sure reinstalling them will resolve the issue rather quickly.
Stay tuned for updates.
Update 1:
TWRP had difficulty mounting data and cache for me, and was unable to format them. This led to applications force closing, window mishaps, and accounts glitching out. I just flashed Carliv recovery, and flashed MIUI with it. Flashing gapps at the moment, and will update you on my progress.
Update 2:
Currently attempting to format data (success), cache (success), and dalvik (success).
Update 3:
Rebooting into MIUI V6, checking if I've entered a bootloop.
5 seconds - Boot animation reached, "MIUI Pro."
165 seconds - Still booting.
180 seconds - Setup screen reached, MIUI V6 flashed successfully.
Update 4:
Google apps flashed successfully, no redraws or force closes this time. Had an issue with the keyboard not registering as being selected, Google voice typing appeared as the default. Pull down notification shader and "choose input method" to select MIUI Smart Keyboard. Signed into Google successfully. Will run preliminary tests on video playback, camera, and multitasking.
Guide:
If you mess up your phone, it is on you, and I am not to be held liable for your actions. This is your responsibility. A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. With that out of the way, if you encounter troubles, I am more than happy to help you.
Step 1:
Root your phone using one of the links provided. Click HERE for method 1, or HERE for method 2. I personally used method 1 because it was the first I saw. They both get the job done.
Step 2:
Install THIS application (Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources), and install a recovery. I installed Carliv recovery, and had no problems with it. You can also install TWRP, however, it had issues mounting data and cache. This left it unable to factory reset when I flashed MIUI, which subsequently led to problems. I do not recommend flashing TWRP - You have been warned. Carliv recovery says it can't "mount" cache, although when formatting it does so without a problem. I believe Carliv is supposed to be touch-based, although the touches weren't responding for me. The controls are as follows: Volume +/- for navigating, Power for selecting, and the Back key for, you guessed it, going back.
Step 3:
Install MIUI V6, located HERE, and then install Google Apps, located HERE. After installing, factory reset the device from recovery and reboot into the system. I posted my timestamps at the top of the post, so you can get an idea of how long your flash/boot process should take.
Step 4:
Basic setup. Be ready to fix your keyboard if you had the same issue I did, which isn't even necessarily a problem. Choose WLAN network and sign into your accounts, then you're good to go.
To root the ROM, I recommend finding "iRoot" for your computer. Then boot to recovery and install the SuperSU zip, as it's better than the root app which comes with the iRoot method.
Enjoy your ROM, and be sure to thank our Ruski comrades over at 4PDA!
Special thanks to @DvDwx. (research), @itsJohnuno (answers), and @Milly7 (testing).
All download links are being hosted by me, and I recommend creating mirrors of your own as safety precautions in the event that the files are removed or become unavailable.
Have a phenomenal day or night, possibly even both. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

I didn't create the resources in the ROM, I just made a guide to flashing ROMs using a specific ROM as an example. I would feel bad posting it in the developer section because I don't wish to be given credit for the ROM. I didn't make it.

Could you please describe how to flash the carliv recovery. I downloaded the app in step 2 but I can't even seem to install the twrp recovery because phone reboots into stock recovery and I don't even see an option for the carliv one.

I do have root with Kingroot. So I just need to keep trying until it successfully flashes?
Edit: The app mlp RIO recovery installer constantly freezes on me not allowing me to flash any of the recoveries.

Yeah. I've also noticed that downloading updates is botched, because it downloads an update for a different phone model. If you try to install it the installation will fail, but it won't hurt your phone.
All in all it's a pretty solid ROM for me.

I'll post some tomorrow. Re-read the past 5-6 posts and you'll see the bugs. I think you'll like it. MIUI is certainly different (settings default apps) and such, but it's a formidable ROM and performs relatively well.

Our Buddy @SSJGohon found the kernel source code and already shared on some topic(i Already re-shared that on Cyanogen Mod to Mediatek SoC's Development thread... but anyone there say nothing about it... and already shared on 4PDA to maybe the MiUi developer can Bring something to All...). i already downloaded and already start my research about what can be maked with that and for sure have a possibility to we have a custom Kernel and maybe Custom ROM like PURE AOSP, AOSPA... but Cyanogen Mod is more difficult because we don't have a updated Repo Source from MediaTek to work like Driver Blobs to GPU, Bluetooth, Wifi Drivers... etc
My real problem is i don't have all skills to make a custom kernel to Mediatek SoC because a lot of things change from Qualcomm to Mediatek.. but if anyone here want to try development that just search the topics with @SSJGohon comments replays :highfive:

I've already installed the ROM, it runs smoothly! You were right, I really like it! I had an issue trying to format /data, it took like 15 minutes, and did a hard reset (pressed power button for a few seconds) and tried to format again and it worked. Im a little bit worry cause I've had 2 radom reboots so far.. Any idea of what has happened to me?

Lg G Tab 10.1 Vk700 Root Method Confirmed!

This Has been confirmed to work on VzTab May not work when lolipop comes. So i found this on accident and tryed these two methods together to get the end desired result. Root Access! The first thing to adress is if your using windows 7 or 8 its a bitc# to get adb to recognize that your devices is connected. So if this becomes a problem i can find the link i used to address it. So you will download all the required files that go along with this 1st method contained here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772
Along with the lg drivers youll need the tablet to install the verizon software upgrade assistant too.
Fallow all of the processes until you reach the download mode. I could not figure out how to manually push buttons to make it into download mode so use this next link and run all the procedures till its in download mode.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
Now you have the desired screen fallow the rest of the instructions from the first tut. Then press and hold power and volume buttons to reset. Since you cant take battery out or command it to reset. The Downloader will indicate 0% still so dont think it failed if it doesnt say 100%.
and too root the lollipop update download the files off rootjunkys site awesome work lol yes it was originally for the note 4 but shush it works
install kingroot (yes its in chinese dont worry we will be installing supersu very soon)
make sure adb is working and usb debugging is enabled which if you are on here i safely assume you are
extract the supersume zip (1 or 2 i couldnt see a diff)
and run the superme bat file (it will walk you through it )
itll soft reboot when done and you are solid and it will hold root
yes the bat will say disableing knox again it was for the note 4 but works fine ive done this
link to get files : http://rootjunkysdl.com/?device=Gala...=Kitkat Root
I don't have this tablet but replacing kinguser with supersu should be doable on this tablet as well (I did it on my forge tv)
http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html
all you do is install terminal emulator and copy files and run the command.
So now i cant upgrade to lolipop im guessing due to the fact it knows its modified now it will give error at 1% anyone have the factory image and how would i go about recoving it to stock image would i need cwm recovery to accomplish this? I really just want to upgrade so maybe the bluetooth stack has been fixed so i can use my wii mote to play games.

Thanks for the timely post of this.
Don't know if it's something on my end but the link gives 'access denied', fortunately you had said it was for a note4 so I just looked for that and came up with the right files, just thought you might want to know.
One minor hiccup, and I'm not sure where to post it, so I'll post it here: SuperSu took 5 tries, finally got success, but now it keeps wanting to update the su binary again, it's definitely rooted, and the binary's already updated so...[shrugs]. The app said if there were any problems with it to post it to xda, soooo, here it is, sorry if this is the wrong place to put it.
Other than that tho, it worked great, thanks again!

not that i know of the device is still pretty new
I found this method incredibly easy: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
I just had to put it on PTP instead of MTP. And after the reboot, I had to manually boot it on download mode (following the software's directions).
It's working flawlessly.

Root H830 running 20A and 20C [Nougat] AutoMagically (Custom Easy Recowvery Script)

I posted this as a reply originally. Then thought it probably should be a thread so it can help as many people as possible! Let's get the custom kernels and ROMs going for this beautiful device!
You will need to already have Android 20A (C should be fine as well) stock image installed, and the bootloader unlocked [Plenty of easy help via Google won't cover that here]
You can use the Recowvery Method on 20A (Nougat) (again this should be the same for 20C) with the H830. Below is the script I used with supersu and no-verity script included. Plug-in the device to your Windows machine. Install LG drivers, and remember to unlock screen and authorize the computer via the Device's screen so ADB commands can run (unnecessary tech note: you could open command prompt cd to where this is and use it's ADB to run adb devices (if you don't understand that no worries skip it)). After that just run the script and follow the menus. Answer yes when asked if you're sure you wish to continue, and done. I hope you find my work helpful .
I used this guy's script [Easy Recowvery ALL CREDITS TO THE AUTHOR I'M JUST SUPPLYING AN H830 SPECIFIC PACK WITH NEEDED FILES THAT I VERIFIED FULLY WORK. PLEASE GO RATE HIS THREAD AND CLICK THANKS IF THIS WORKS FOR YOU!]: http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/h918-recowvery-unlock-v20-root-shell-t3490594
DON'T FORGET
This should work granted you have the drivers installed, and Windows has finished installing them, you tapped the prompt on your device screen to allow the adb connection, and you run script as administrator, and you restart the computer if you run adb commands yourself and aren't comfortable checking task manager to kill any and all running adb instances (could also issue the stop server command too), but if unsure of any or all of that last statement, restart
Of note answer yes when it says this isn't a V20 are you sure you wish to continue?. Also, as stated in notes I had to actually run it twice for it to stick for me (I'm sure I rushed the first time or something).
I took the time to create an H830 package of the script version with the files that worked for me. Out of respect I changed nothing aside from adding the needed files and throwing quick notes in the readme.md (bottom of file) file. (PLEASE read it, if you have issues read it you missed something). You will also still need to type yes when it states this is not a V20; Do you wish to continue? <Yes>.
. I used this package to root my H830 after the Nougat OTA killed my root access so
SHOULD WORK ON ANY H830 RUNNING STOCK 20A (should work with 20C) [NOUGAT] Read the following paragraph if you skip the rest
Read the readme.md file found in root of archive (see bottom of file).
Start it up hit like 5 for TWRP and supersu (or there's another menu option for just supersu or just TWRP whatever you desire).
Answer yes to the prompt to continue.
Now wait for the magic (again not mine this is the authors work)).
Once done you can download a reboot to recovery app or widget (or root checker) and verify that you're good to go.
If it doesn't take the first time you may need to run it again. DON'T FREAK OUT, RUN SCRIPT AGAIN IT CAN TAKE MULTIPLE RUNS.
Don't forget to install BusyBox (Stericson installer recommended and I use /su/bin personally (/su/xbin should also be fine) Since we're talking stock here generally I like to minimize any changes to /system if it can be helped personally; so I haven't tried running BusyBox from any /system mount) as this is a stock ROM.
Kernel Adiutor works and yes I recommend leaving thermald enabled as your thermal governor unless you flash a custom kernel (not included)
Manual Boot to Recovery:
Start With phone off (pinch battery button and re-insert battery if you can't otherwise shut it down or are lazy like me )
Hold both Power AND Volume Down at same time
1-2 seconds in to seeing LG Logo release and hold power button while continuing to hold volume down the entire time...
Release once you see white screen prompting yes or no to wipe user data (don't freak) ¹
use volume key to highlight yes
Hit Power key (think enter)
¹(If you have factory recovery this WILL format all user data and settings you've been warned. Only way to boot to stock recovery is to use app, widget, or terminal/adb command (reboot recovery). I don't know of any manual physical button methods to access stock recovery directly.).
You should now see TWRP Loading and can release any keys if you're holding any down still (once white wipe screen is seen you should release the keys)
Sweet, the file is small enough to be attached to this post directly, Enjoy! Also it's a 7-zip archive. It's available for every OS. For Android if you use ES File Explorer the first time you try to use a 7z file it'll offer to download plug-in, and you're good to read/write 7z archives (best compression almost always imho).
It doesn't seem to work for me, it reboots and the little android says No Command. Any suggestions?
well I ran the script ,Im afraid what was happening earlier is happening here to,when the script tries to flash Supersu it reboots to Firmware Update screen,Im fairly certain thats not right...am I correct? Gonna try to pull out (lol) before that screen loads like I did with the other method...
Ahhh I miss being able to root without a PC. I don't own one ?
Can anyone confirm this works fine? I won't have time for troubleshooting if it doesn't..

I did this but am still getting the no command issue
This method worked for me after about 5 failed attempts. The OP guide is not very clear, I might write my own and post it today.

When you say failed, did you get the no command issue as well,or something different?

I did get the no command issue in recovery, the first time I did it, disabling integrity verification solved the problem when I did my next time, but I got some other issues before this solution worked.
My problem is, i am on Mac in parallels i can't list my phone in adb devices command. it shows as empty. Installed every possible app scenarios but still looks empty

Can confirm this does work. Took me 30 tries but it worked!

The Simple Guide To Rooting The Alcatel Idol 4

Credit goes to dbgr for finding this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-4s/how-to/6055u-root-method-t3598947
Link to download .rar:
https://mega.nz/#!U24zwYbQ!MwbIX_D01OyHHldd8c_9iCmht6wzcw1duNpGO-PRyWI
This is just a simpler, more detailed guide on how to root this phone.
Forgive me for the lack of pictures, its pretty straightforward anyways. I have included a .rar with this post that has all the essential files you will need.
(I only compressed the .rar, everything else credit goes to the creators)
1. Download the rootpackage.rar i have included, and decompress to somewhere safe.
2. Install SugarQct and install the drivers that came with it. (In the SugarQct installer, not the usb driver folder)
3. After that has finished, open the usb driver folder and run the setup.vbs script there. It should only take a second or two to run.
4. Plug phone into pc.
5. Place supersu.zip onto phone. You can put this anywhere, doesn't really matter.
6. Turn phone off and place into download mode. (Phone must be plugged in to allow download mode)
4. Open sugar with phone plugged in. Be sure to upgrade sugar if you can't see the 6055u in the list.
Set to 6055u, go to options, select save user data. Now press upgrade.
5. While sugar is downloading overwrite the r*****.mbn in bin/6055-*****. This folder appears once you start to download to the phone. You must rename the twrp_recovery_idol4_6055.img to the name of the r*****.mbn.
6. Overwrite again while files are being written. Do this as many times as you please. I only overwrote it more than once as a safety precaution.
7. Before sugar has completed fully, but after files are written, this should be around the time when it starts to download more files. As long as the writing completes you are good to go.
8. Turn phone on and enter recovery mode (power + volume up).
9. In the custom recover menu tap install and install the supersu.zip from the directory you placed it in.
10. Give it a couple of seconds (mine took 30 or so)
11. Allow phone to be rebooted and its now rooted!
Now I've had some interest in using magisk instead of supersu, but i haven't been able to install it after supersu. Choose your rom to flash wisely, as its a pain in the ass to go back from.
Please enjoy your newly rooted Alcatel Idol 4!
Thanks all!
P.S. If someone can dump their standard rom before they flash supersu.zip onto their phone, i'd like to try and find a way to get a custom rom goin and that would help.
I'm not seeing the download for the .RAR file. Am I missing something?

I thought i attached it to the thread, give me a second and i'll try again.
Edit:
It seems my rar is too large, i'm headed to work now, but i'll try and get something uploaded in a bit.
Thank you. Much appreciated. Also, can I unplug the phone before rebooting to recovery,or does it have to be plugged in!

As far as i know it doesn't have to be, but when i was successful i believe i had the phone plugged in. I did try to do somethings earlier today and unplugged the phone, and it was not successful. I do not know if it was because i unplugged the phone or if it was because i had failed to rewrite the recovery flash.
Thank you. I actually didn't want to wait for .rar so I just pieced the files from the forum here. Thank you anyway,at least somebody else will get the RAR. Also,my phone was plugged in when it worked.
I got magisk working for me I unistalled super super went into twrp and installed magisk ( I needed magisk to play fire emblem heroes lol) I'm not sure if I did something else but that's what I remember doing
Is this guide working for all the idol 4 variants or just for the cricket one? I've got the 6055k and I'm wondering if this guide works for my phone too.

Theres another guide for the 6055k, i'm not sure if this will work for that one. I know it works for the cricket version and i see no reason why it wouldn't work for the 6055k, but it is a better idea to follow the guide made for the 6055k.

Would you mind checking if snapchat works on magisk? I know it doesn't work on supersu, and i've unrooted my phone because i was having troubles getting it installed after supersu.

Thanks for the info, but funnily enough i'm having difficulties getting the damn thing rooted again.
Thanks for the write up, I've flashed and reflashed many times... you have to be carefully about when you interrupt the process. Also know that a newer version is out. Cheers mate.
I'm not sure if it's the latest version of Sugar, but I've been trying so many times, but to no avail. Has anyone had any luck on the new version?
SUGAR QCT_SP V11.3.0
I've gotten to the point that when I start the upgrade with Sugar, it says my phone is already rooted. However, when I try to access Recovery, there is no option to install TWRP. It looks like it just loaded the same old recovery...no matter how fast and how many times I replace the Rxxxxxx.mbn file.
Cheers,
Wickster

Having the same problems as PizzaG - tried all the timing tips no TWRP
Having the same situation as PizzaG - same Cricket version, using the newer version of Sugar QCT 11.1.3. I've tried starting right after it reaches the last written file (4095M), Ive even tried waiting until you get the vibrate and Alcatel logo (which happens at the very end of the download, but was someone's tip), same story, boots into Android recovery. Any other tips?
Possible Solution to Rooting Troubles
I was having the same troubles as the above posters. What seemed to be the problem was that I had set a pin code to unlock my device, which made it encrypted. Unfortunately, the only way to remove a pin is to do a factory reset. Anyway, I did a factory reset and ran sugar immediately after - making sure to start the phone before sugar finished - and it worked! Perhaps there is something simpler to do and I didn't have to do a factory reset, but I don't know what that is, and this worked.
Someone have try with the 6055A?
hmm, im noticing mine says encrypted as well but i never set anything for security. just the swipe. @ ThisEndsInTears did you do a factory reset from stock recovery or from withing the phone settings? Thanks much, hopefully one step closer to getting this rooted. Y has nobody developed cm for 6.0.1 for this? cm13 im pretty sure it is

Need support on 7.1.2 for Y5 2017 mya-l22

I have successfully booted the rr 7.1.2 rom from 4pda on my device every thing seems very well except in performance its much slower than the stuck firmware , also i have check the antutu score and it get lower by 10k points , i have check the gpu with another app and the working percent was stuck at 0%
So if any one could help fixing the hwc , kernel , hw coding and decoding,, it will make the device fly again

I have been trying to get this room to work but failed everytime, because of the encryption.
Everytime I get decryption successful but something went wrong. As far as I understand the encryption should be disabled on this ROM completely, but I can't get it done. I tried reformatting data to ext4 but that didn't work.
Edit: The problem was that I was using Magisk as root solution. I tried with the provided SuperSU and it all worked.
My device runs well with rr. I only notice the performance issue on startup, right after but the phone is very slow.
I noticed that there is no swap memory use in this ROM, while in stock there was a deal memory partition.
I'll try to figure out if we can enable it in this ROM. That might improve performance.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but im desperate. Im trying to root mt MYA L22 but can't seem to find the right instructions. Posted here two times but no one is replying. Could you tell me how you unlocked bootloader on your phone? I already have the code from Huawei website. I am stuck at the cmd prompt when i type "list adb devices" from a cmd prompt opened through the adb and fastboot folder that ive downloaded. It says adb devices attached but shows nothing after that, basically an empty list. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure which post you saw, but I think my post on there were with an other device and yes, I have never bricked a device unrecoverable (yet).
That said, you will always be taking a risk when rooting or trying custom ROMS.
Then again if you never take risks you won't get anywhere. The question is how much are you willing to risk. In this case are you willing to risk your phone for the extra possibilities you might get when rooting it
First think you need to do before modifying anything is learning how to backup and restore.

Thanks JudgeDread. Yes, I've rooted several phones in my life time. I understand the risk, but I tend to research about that particular rooting method with my phone before going ahead and doing it. I feel like the rooting method for my phone is particularly more risky, not because of what I read but rather from what info I am NOT able to find. Did you have a Huwaei Y5 2017 MYA l22 that you rooted successfully without issues? Can you point me to the instructions? That thread is a bit confusing.

Yes exact same model, rooted and after several tries custom ROM.
I unlocked using the official method and then flashed TWRP in the recovery partition.
The difficulty was to get back into TWRP after rebooting. So I would advice to immediately install a root solution. I used Magisk. While root works without problem Magisk modules will only work if you use the f2fs workaround.
I am now running Resurrection remix (Android 7.1.2) without many issues. Only every now and then a forced close of the system UI.
It took some time to get it running. Because I used a different root solution the provided on the same page as the ROM. So on install use the provided SuperSU. After install you can change of you want.
Also the patches are needed. I still have bad videos on YouTube but haven't looked into the issue much yet.

Thanks again for replying. Unfortunately though, 80 percent of what you just said flew over my head
I am not an expert but I can follow instructions! Any step by step guide on how to root it? So far I've gotten the unlock code from Huawei. I downloaded the ADB and fast boot folder and launched from that folder the cmd prompt. I type in "list of ADB deviced" and below comes an empty list. Please share what you did.

For rooting you need unlocked bootloader ( if you don't do ir then below won't work).
1)download the 4pda app from google play store and register an account .
2) download the TWRP.img file from 4pda website here is the link
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=823938&view=findpost&p=74424572
3) enable developer mode in your phone by going to setting about phone , tap 6 times on the build number.
4)go to developer mode and enable usb debugging and oem factory unlock .
5) go to your pc install adb here link https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
6) now conect the phone to the pc and run cmd , type adb reboot bootloader . (Your device ahould restart and enter bootloader mode (white screen)).
7) now take the TWRP.img (must be copyied to desktop ) and type in cmd cd desktop.
8) type fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img (change the file name to TWRP ).
9) type fastboot reboot.
Now you have successfully install TWRP on your device.
