Bypass Google Lock? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

I bought a AT&T Samsung Galaxy s7 on eBay but it's Google Locked. Is there anyway to bypass this? ( the seller didn't say it was Google locked)I'm not a thief or anything I just wanted to explore my options before I file a claim and return the phone.

No if the company black listed the device then it will not work on that company again until they remove the black listing.

IMEI blacklisting is now like ESN blacklisting has been, but goes a step further and if a phone is blacklisted on AT&T, they share that list with T-Mobile, and vice versa now, or at least that's what they are trying to do. It's done at the carrier end.
if the phone was reported lost rather than stolen would it still be blacklisted? And if i unlocked the phone, then took it to another country say Qatar and put a sim from a phone company there, would it work?
i believe my t-mobile galaxy s4 is blacklisted not for sure.

You can call the carrier and find out if its blacklisted... t-mobile was really easy to ask as long as you have the IMIE number.

Help from the Comunity to Sim Unlock

SOLVED UNLOCK FOUND
THANK YOU VERY MUCH kmani.k78 & aalyatim AND ECS87, AND THE REST OF THE PEOPLE THAT PUT SO MUCH EFFORT INTO THIS!!!
I have experience doing sim unlocking (I found the sim unlock method for the LG Optimus 3D).
I bought one of this phones to try to unlock it.
What I have found so far:
-The uicc unlock is preformed by Sprint OTA (over the air) by sending a network message to the phone to init the unlocking function.
-This message can be sent by generating a fake message and using a software DFS CDMA to comunicate to the device modem and generate the secuence.
-This was done to the Sprint Galaxy S4 but now Samsung implemented a signed encrypted package for the S5.
-By default, domestic networks (Tmobile and ATT) are locked even though sprint unlocks the uicc
-This can be overriden easily once we unlock the uicc
What I need to continue my search:
-a EFS and NVRAM Backup of a phone that had the uicc unlocked
-a App Log for the uicc unlocking state (a phone that is eligible for unlocking by sprint and activate the application log to monitor the unlocking process)
INSTRUCTIONS for the App Log
Because we only have one chance and I don't want to let it go. Please please if you are eligible for a Sprint unlock contact me and we will set up a live meeting so we can setup your phone before hand (root, increase log buffer sizes, etc) and preform together the unlock process. Also because I have not seen the unlock process I don't know if the device will reboot or what happens and I don't want the logs to be overridden or deleted in the process.
INSTRUCTIONS for the EFS and NVRAM dump
If you already unlocked your phone and have an active sim slot, because you went through the process of calling Sprint and they agreed to unlock your phone.
Download the following tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705524
Select the option Backup partition for LTE device.
Any help would benefit the entire comunity.

Actually root is not required for the logs and NVRam but it is highly recommended so we can get all the information possible.

Changing IMEI

Hello everyone, its been a while since I've been on XDA.
Anyways, I recently purchased an unlocked Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile). I purchased it from a craigslist seller, and figured everything was okay after I put my SIM card in it and everything was working fine. After a few days of service with MetroPCS, it suddenly stopped working. I called Metro and they couldn't figure out the problem after 3 days. I then called T-Mobile since thats where the phone originally came from and they proceeded to tell me that the phone has been blacklisted due to nonpayment from the previous owner.
So I'm basically screwed now. I have a $600 phone that's nothing but a paperweight.
I've been in this community for years now but I have no idea what I'm about to do.
So basically my question is, if I root my phone and change my imei number to a valid one, would I be okay? Would I be able to register it under the network?
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Unlock Galaxy s7 SM-G935T T-MOBILE

Hello,
What is the procedure for unlocking a Galaxy S7 T-Mobile?
Call into T-Mobile to request subsidy unlock. They'll process your request and in 48 hours, you can use the Unlock Device app on your phone and do a Permanent Unlock.

I can confirm they are blacklisting the imei after you call samsung and start the refund process it happen to me.
Don't give out false information. If they back listed your phone it's because you already began a process with them.
They are not gonna just start blocking people's phones out the blue.
Sent from my SM-N930T using XDA-Developers mobile app
Of course they're blacklisting the IMEI, you returned it. And since the phone is classified as defective due to the recall, the IMEI is blacklisted so it can't be resold/reactivated.
If you don't call them in the first place Samsung won't do anything to your IMEI.

Im not giving false info out as if you can read i said (after you call samsung and start the refund process). check on the Verizon site of xda and on reddit, Verizon started blocking imei already its just a matter of time before all carriers are doing it, start the return processes with samsung or carrier or not its going to happen sooner or later they have every note imei in system. here is link as other people are getting blacklisted ( https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyNote7/comments/57omxn/verizon_already_blacklisting_note_7/ )

Again this only occurs after you make the initial contract...If you don't call anyone, your phone won't get blacklisted... I have Verizon and my note 7 works perfectly. This conversation is a non issue

And I haven't taken my phone back, and my IMEI is 100% not blocked
Lol @ this thread. Title is a bit misleading.
