Moto X Force - UK Edition - Dual Sim - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been trying for the last few hours to get my UK Moto X Force to accept a dual sim configuration to no avail. I have listed the different methods I have tried below hoping that someone can identify a solution.
1st Method:
Rooted my phone and used the instructions for the Moto X Play variant to enable dual sim functionality as listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/help/enabling-dual-sim-single-sim-devices-t3225546
I followed this method through by adding the several lines of code to a local.prop file and rebooted. The phone now had access to the Dual Sim settings and identified my 1st SIM within the phone but not the 2nd. Where it said 2nd SIM 'No Sim Inserted'. I tried with multiple SIM cards and the same error popped up, there were no issues with the sim card touching the connector plates for the 2nd sim as they had scratched the card, a visible connection had been made.
2nd Method:
I installed a Mexican Dual Sim variant of the OS and inserted both cards. Bluetooth, WiFi and Mobile connection were not working however the Dual sim menu was available. I then flashed the UK modem onto the phone which fixed the WiFi and Bluetooth not working as well as the mobile connection. However once again only one of the sims worked and slot 2 was labelled as being empty.
Any suggestions on what to try next would be appreciated to get the dual sim functionality, functional!
Thanks

I think that UK edition doesn't really have hardware required for dual SIM. Tray is just generic for all Force variant.
Actually both of your attempts proved that. I would like to be wrong in this case

Any ideas?

Need to try. The files in the fsg folder are different. I did not succeed, but it should work, if someone seriously takes up this issue.

Has anyone got the modem files to flash?
I've mistakenly flashed the Brazilian rom on mime and lost wifi

unknown sim error

Hi,
I have a locked Spanish xperia x2. Following the suse update procedure reported in the forum I managed to load the GENERIC_UK_R3AA035_CABS.rar. After alla the cab installation the langauage is finally English but X2 gives me “unknown sim error”. What I am missing? thank and regards
andrea
Does the sim card work in a different phone?
Can you get a replacement sim card?
I remember that I had some issues with my phone one morning and I happened to walk by an official T-Mobil store while in downtown Chicago. It turned out that a number of specific, older, sim cards did not work due to an update on the network. So the T-Mobil guy just copied my sim to a new one and i was on my way with a working sim/phone.
One small point to know: I had the sim card for about 8 years. It was still Voice Stream (now T-Mobil). So it was a really old sim.
I have 2 new sim card working perfectly in my old X1. For none of them I have to insert pin code in X1.
In X2 I insert the pin code and then receive the error message. May this be due to the fact X2 was locked?
But shouldn't have been the loading I did of
GENERIC_UK_R3AA035_CABS.rar.
unlocking it?
what am I missing?
to unlock my X2 is GENERIC_UK_R3AA035_CABS.rar enough or should I purchase on the net an unlocking code?
thanks
no, you have done everything right so far. now just do the sues upgrade again and it'll boot the english rom (based on what cabs you downloaded on your phone) and your phone should be working fine. tell me how everything turns out. and good luck

Flashing a different language/rom has NOTHING to do with the fact that your phone is SIM LOCKED. And it will stay sim locked until SIM is UNLOCKED. But not with flashing a language or rom or anything via SEUS.

[Q] Motorola Droid RAZR M XT907

Hey Guys,
I have a question i keep getting this error on my phone
Code:
sim card not recognized ,please insert sim card
while the sim card is inside just received it from the US/Verizon about to use it for IAM GSM Morocco , i know verizon use CDMA and also know that the phone is unlocked but i can't seem to get my sim cards recognized i tried 2 micro sim from IAM, and the option to check GSM instead of global or CMDA i cant i get blocked by the same error i rebooted the phone no changes
Ok when I got my Droid M I got the exact same message. I assume you're on the stock rom. Even though I got this message, I still managed to get access to my local Network because the Droid M does not disable GSM if youre outside the U.S.A.
You're in Morocco so you shouldn't have any problems getting GSM network to work. Try another sim. The message you are getting is easily disabled using Titanium Backup. I'll post it up once I find it, I haven't had to do it for a long time.

I did try another sim card that works in another phone i get the same error i cant even select GSM in the setting its always in Global

Lumia 640 Mod Dual SIm

While disabling an ATT lumia 640 I found that there is a second sim card slot. Found that Tmobile MetroPCs all have the second sim slot. A separate plastic named "sim locker" is used to block the place which can be easily pushed away. On the motherboard i see the sim connectors are there. I am unable to upload the picture of the 2nd sim slot as i am new here.
A simslot can be easily soldered in there. I also learned that a dual sim firmware may also be flashed from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/general/brand-att-lumia-640-lte-t3294971
I was wondering will it work ?
Need to flash a 2nd IMEI though.
im new to windows but how do you plan to flash a new imei you can restore it but how flash it is it done using the same imei as the previous

make an Samsung Galaxy A5-2016 (SM-A510F) dual-sim capable?

Hi,
I'm assuming the following:
The A510* and the A5100 (the dual sim version) seem to be pretty identical according to their hardware specs.
The only hardware difference seems to be the slightly modified plastic tray of the A5100, which gives place to a 2nd SIM to be put in instead of the external sd-card.
It's seems only a plastic difference, as even the A510 has the right pins at the right place to possibly read a 2nd SIM.
Question is: How can I make the A510 register and make use of the 2nd SIM?
Would it be too weird to try to flash a A5100 stock rom onto the A510?
Should it be a 4file repair image, including re-partioning? What are the risks?
Which preparations would be necessary to prevent ending up with a brick?
Thanks for input, bibbbs
I thought the A510F is a dual sim phone? The sim 2 slot is also an sd card slot right? So maybe you insertrd an sd card in already?

The A510F is sold as non-dual-sim. Only in Asian markets they sell the Duos-Version A5100. Since the A510F sim tray lacked the small spacings to hold the 2nd SIM (but the phone's not lacking the PINs!) I've bought an A5100-sim tray. But after inserting 2 SIMs nothing like multi-sim control showed up in the OS/settings. That lead me to the idea that it would be only a matter of the right software ...
The A5100 stock rom has another PIT layout than the A510F.
Before I try to flash I'd like to do all it needs to happily go back to a working A510 stock in case it fails.
Do I have to root the phone first to make an backup of any unique EFS data or so? Or will that not be affected by flashing with repartitioning?
Btw, do dual-sim phone have two IMEIs? If yes, than I'm afraid it could be more complicated ...

The specs page says that the a510f has dual sim? And yes, dual sim phones have two IMEIs.

After flashing global rom network is locked and can't deactivate dsds

Basically I flashed a global firmware H8166 DUAL for it and now I realize it's actually a single sim so initially problem was that Sim card had NO SERVICE I tried it on different phones they work perfectly so I assume problem is either that network is locked or hopefully just because I flashed dual sim firmware instead of single one is causing all this?
I tried turning DSDS off but it switches back on its own
WILL FLASHING SINGLE SIM FIRMWARE FIX THE ISSUE?
Just flash the single sim version then & remember to delete simlock.ta from the flashing pack.
