Assistance on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge purchase. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello Friends,
I am looking to buy an S7 Edge. I would like to make my purchase via Amazon. I need to make sure I am buying from a reputable seller and buying the correct product. I have found this:
Amazon Link
The seller is wireless everything. Seems reputable. . My only concern is 3000 mAhroduct description. It says it has a 3000mah battery thought I know it should be 3600. It also saying this about the silicon: Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo; Quad-core 2.3 GHz Mongoose + quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53. I know it is supposed to have a octo-core Exynos 8890.
I have questioned the seller but have yet to hear a response.
What do you all think? I would like to make this purchase asap. However I really dont want to go through the trouble of ordering the right thing. If someone could help ease my concerns or lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advanced!

Looks like the seller just gathered all spec info they could find and combined it into one.

They don't come with any warranty buying from wireless place but if u see the seller straight trading they provide 1 year warranty through them not Samsung

If you buy from b&h online they also include 1 year warranty and there based in new York

Confused
I'm a little confused here.Didn't you make this thread earlier http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513657. Now you have 4 for sale/ I'm just wondering. Wish i would of held out cause i just paid 65 for mine.
Maybe he bought several for a discounted price?
Hi
just to avoid any confusion:
I made the earlier post when i was finding difficulty finding one at a reasonable enough price, noticed there were a few people on here who have had such difficulty finding these digitizers and i've since been in contact with a person from shenzhen who is willing to sell me a small batch (their normal order quantity is 100) of 5 pieces the price i have given is the price i am paying plus £3.00 for the postage from my contact to me
i can assure everyone this is legitimate, i will post pictures once i have them in my hands
Pretty cool of you to help out the community like that.

You can buy it from Taobao in China and they do ship internationally. I have no experience with having products shipped outside but have ordered from the many time and they ship same day in China.
Price on Taibao is about 5200 rmb / 6.12 = USD
http://s.taobao.com/search?q=Galaxy+Note+3+N9002&app=detailproduct
the best bet is go on Taobao and find the highest phone quantity sold, that's a good indicator of trust worthy store.
there's about 1500 RMB price different between the taobao price and the Samsung store price.
good luck
please can you help me

Which one to pick?

Hi,
it seems to be my first post on this forum.
The question is obvious: which model will suite my requirements? There's a lot of them and I'm simply lost
First: price lvl: up to $250
Other: 2 DIN, full BT (I'd like to use the screen as additional gauges showing data from my car ECU), DVD/CD, WIFI, GPS, 3/4G. Rootability always well seen.
Where am I supposed to look for it? Does anyone have his/her favourites Android headunits meeting my expectations?
Thanks
You can have a look at this website.
Pumpkin 11-C0255: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pumpkin-Android-Support-Bluetooth-Subwoofer/dp/B018I6XSSS/
No DVD in this pumpkin. Pity.
I regret going with Pumkin over Joying.
I cannot tell you how many infuriating conversations I've had with their so-called "support". I am actually considering tearing it apart and putting a Raspberry Pi 2 in the unit.
$250 for a DVD unit? Unless you want a dual core, 6.25" screen unit used I think you are going to be very disappointed with what you get.
My Joying quad core, 7", non DVD unit was $300. Their customer support and warranty are excellent.
You can convert your dvds to mp4 and play them on whatever HU you do go with. A better option IMO because you don't have to deal with skipping or pause delays.

Or download the free VLC app and then you can play any format on you HU (mp4, ISO, etc).

Is the support lack of technical knowledge or experience or what?

Well... it was a issue of incompetence more than anything. They tried to rip me off. I ordered 2 microphones and only one was shipped. They claimed I only ordered one. So I showed them a screenshot and proof that I ordered two of them. I felt they should have known this from their end but they didn't. It took me showing them my order for them to believe me. They offered to send me another or refund. I chose refund and it never came. Then... when inquiring about rooting they did not help me and said rooting the unit was forbidden on the head units. I told them they have no control over what I do with my unit. They still did not assist me. Then... I couldn't get the USB dash cam to work and again, they were absolutely zero help. Offering me no assistance in fixing it. Then I decided I wanted to return the stereo and replace it with a different model and I was told that I could do that if i paid the difference which was fine. However they chastized me that I should have checked what kind of unit fit my car before I bought it. Told them it was universal unit so I didn't need to. Never heard back from them after that. At that point I was finished with them. I Craigslisted the stereo and was done.
Like I said.... I should have gone with Joying.
There are a few on Amazon for around $250 but, it seems the better models are closer to $300. Keep in mind that you might end up spending $50 on the accessories you need with some of the models so you need to weigh the price with what it comes with. A lot of people talk about cameras that are included with some not being very good so keep that in mind.
Personally, I've been holding out for a model with a little more ram. I haven't found a single model with more than 1GB of ram. I'd spend $500+ for a model with a modern processor and a decent amount of ram. I've heard ranges of startup times for different models being 30-50 seconds. I imagine there are a lot of factors including people adding lots of unnecessary apps.
I have a Ownice C200 with 16 gb nand flash and 2gb of ram bluetooth v3.0 and i am quite satisfied, it is a bit expensive, but you can buy the cheaper C180 with 8 nand flash and 1gb mem

LG G6 in the UK - UK model, or Korean model?

Hello once more !
I think I will be getting the LG G6 after all I am really excited about the device and I want to own it. The only thing remaining right now is to decide whether I go for the UK model or the Korean model (DS).
I have looked into the bands, and see that my carrier (vodafone) is fully supported for LTE. So I am thinking, that if I get it from wondamobile, I would also get a 12 month warranty on the device.
I am trying to compile a list of why I should go for the UK or Korean model and this is what I have come up with:
Korean pros:
- HiDac
- 64 on board
- 12 month seller warranty
- 100 pounds cheaper on wonda
cons:
- more bloatware? (not sure)
- antenna issues with EU? (not sure if there are any, just curious)
UK pros:
- High street seller means better service if things go south
- LG UK support
- 100% compatibility with bands without worries
cons:
- 32 on board storage
- regular DAC
Am I forgetting anything, or are any of my pros/cons stupid? If you had to choose, what would you guys go for and why?
Thanks
ok i would say if you care about the warranty get the UK version if not get the Korean version . not band problems hifi dac, if you want dual sim for no extra and no bloatware
(if you want a video search: Dual Sim LG G6 Korean Version - Detailed Walk Through form Tech Zilla on youtube)
I'd say go for a UK model as your pros make perfect sense and far outweigh your cons. Although I don't consider them cons; the on board 32GB is easily sorted with a SDcard and I doubt the DAC would really make one bit of difference to you in everyday use.
Whatever you decide, good luck and have fun.

BTW I got a G6 on Saturday from Tesco mobile, there's no bloat other than the LG stuff.

Thank you both the reason why I am leaning more towards the Korean version is the price difference. In the Korean walk through video however one of the commenters complains about lots of Korean bloatware
Yep exactly. And as you know, without root you're pretty much stuffed.
And I'd still say go for the UK variant if only for the warranty benefits and suck up the extra cost.
I've now got a V20 H990ds Taiwan variant (it was never released in the UK / Europe) so have no recourse to warranty of any kind, but that was a decision I spent a lot of time considering. So I'll be ultra careful with it and hope nothing goes wrong.
This one was unlocked and network free so there's no carrier bloat, and only a little bit of LG crap which I can live with.

I suppose so. In which case I will wait for the price to plummet to where I feel it should be...
Thank you
Lol @ price plummet....
I admire your optimism
Thing is, most likely by the time you think it's plummeted to a level you want to pay there will be a newer phone released that you'll want even more.....

That is true, but I have seen it be a pattern with LG phones in particular.
It already goes for 599 on Vodafone payG. A week more and I am pretty confident I will be getting new or as new on ebay for around 500
Mine cost £562 from Tesco.
There's some ridiculously priced ones on eBay, I often wonder what some sellers are thinking. If I can see their prices are way above what others are asking surely they can see it too.
Anyway if you do get a G6 don't forget to post your thoughts.

+ 1 mate. And the 64GB also shouldn't be region dependent....

I would pay 562 for it!
Is there a special deals page I missed? Can't find one for that price!
Ah. I've just checked their site, the sim free price for the handset is £629.
Iv'e been with Tesco Mobile for several years, that's the price I'm paying which is then split into 24 months (interest free).
I got my H870ds from wonda mobile and it comes with no bloat. The only con is no support for WiFi calling if you plan on using it.
Without a doubt, at least for me, the 64gb storage was the the thing I wanted and an sd card while useful doesn't help if you plan on installing a lot of apps. The hifi DAC is an additional sweetener but if I'm being honest I can't notice a difference with the headphones that I use ( sennheiser momentum in ears)

I was tempted to buy a H870DS myself, but the lack of any meaningful warranty really puts me off. The prices are starting to reflect real world value on eBay at the minute, it won't be long before they are under £500 on a regular basis.
SD can help for apps -- partition it so I chunk is used for Adopted Storage (able to install apps), the rest being mounted as normal external storage. There's a link in one of the threads here, an app that is pretty painless to use.

Yes it can be done but adoptable storage is far from ideal... Lots of cons and definitely nowhere near as good as having a larger internal storage.
Sent from my LG-H870DS using Tapatalk
No disagreement there I use it for things that are in the want-onboard-but-not-often-used category (a fair number of apps in my case). A Class 10 card comes in handy for that.
How many apps are you guys installing? On my 32GB Galaxy S6 I still have 5.4GB free space. Here's my run down;
Images: 2.24GB
Videos: 2.58GB
Audio: 9.13GB
Applications: 1.77GB
I can't see how I'd ever fill the G6, but I've ordered a 64GB Samsung Evo Class 10 card that I'll use for Images, Audio & Video. Unless the LG system takes up more than 20GB there's no way I'd ever fill it.
