Flashed succesfully my XT1524 with XT1524_SURNIA_RETEU_6.0_MPI24.65-39_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip using Firmware Flasher. Initial boot after flashing took about 15 minutes (maybe less, but I've been out of the room for some time).
Now I'm testing it, but everything seems to fine, until now.
Many thanks!

HAPPY FLASHING :good:

worked no problem here as well. thanks!

Since my previous post in this thread, my XT1524 works flawlessly. Seems that the battery is draining faster compared to 5.0.2, but I can't say for sure - I'm using it as daily phone with navi, push e-mail, data and wi-fi always on and talk time varies a lot. I've managed 2 days and a half between charges, so I can't complain.

i think 6.0 is not good for this device as a daily driver it consumes lot of ram and battery so wait for 6.0.1 or just flash back to 5.1.1 so that you will get better ram space and battery life !!

This will help a lot

Finger print sensor fixed in CM13, the build should be up soon. Here is the post from the forum:

Hi,
on KIWI-L22 (Indian)
I had enrolled for beta program previously, so installed b130 and updated to 6.0 MM beta. I didnt like it much, so I switched back to CM 13.0.
As Official MM 6.0 is out now, so I wanted to switch to stock.
Following the procedure mentioned in OP, I downloaded L22-B130 and tried to restore stock but it failed mentioning "wrong version".
then I downloaded the L22-B320 version
http://www.hihonor.com/in/support/details/?DOC_ID=83346
and follow the same procedure. "voila" I returned to stock MM 6.0.
My whole point in saying all this is once upgraded to MM, then you have to use the MM "update.app".
Many thanks to Cosmodroid for this post.

Moved from the android dev section to general section as suggested by @malbert16442 This should not trip knox but Im guessing most people who are viewing this already have anyway . For MM, you have to use a different method called systemless root. I did it a while ago and there is a written out tutorial over on the "sprint gs5 android 6.0" thread in this forum. Just use the search tool there and search "systemless root."
Decisions, decisions - - use this to 'upgrade stock' from my rooted stock deox and have phone totally reset ...or wait for deox stock MM PCA and see if it will take without reset ...
hmmm
Was all hot to upgrade the 2 yo phone , but nothing compelling..nothing faster with qi charging, radio, ir blaster , sd-card slot, water proof , and definetley nothing with removable battery. S7 is the closest and it is locked down ..so sad.

Has anyone tried flashing this using flashfire, injecting root, and flashing the stock partitions via Odin with success? Wile my phone is beyond the warranty period, I have not tripped knox yet and would like to keep it that way if possible. I was able to have completely stock rooted OK4 with this method.
Just to be clear -- will applying this tar via Odin do the full update of MM bootloader, kernel, modem (if applicable), etc etc?

Yup! So you will be able to flash custom roms like @malbert16442 s7 port without any issues (well when he releases V3 as he a group of people beta testing it right now and according to @philiptibbs who is among them V3 works fully with sprint. And on 2.5 everything works but sending sms (recieving sms and sending/recieving mms work fine though, not sure why thats the case.)

Possible root for Tab S2 SM-T818V and SM-T818A aka SM-T819

Here we go. This is for T818VVRU1AQB1 firmware, but probably works on any revision 1 firmware.
Instructions
1. Enable OEM UNLOCK
In Settings>About>Software info tap the build number 7 times to enable developer options. Once you've enabled developer options, developer options will appear in settings just above the About device option. Open developer options, the 4th or 5th option should be “OEM Unlock”. Turn on.
2. Download the eng boot image.
This is a special boot image normally used by engineers, it allows selinux to be booted in permissive mode with relaxed root restrictions.
Do not replace this image with the stock image after rooting your device or you will possibly soft brick your device.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862710309
3. Install boot image:
Download Odin v3.11.1
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the SM-T818V_eng_boot.tar to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Reboot
Check in Settings>About>Software, your device should be in Selinux permissive mode.
4. Install and run Kingroot:
Make sure you have an internet connection.
You may need to run Kingroot several times to gain successful root.
5. Install and run SuperSU me to remove Kingroot and convert to SuperSU (not required) :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ore&pcampaignid=APPU_1_uzPDVbGyFcGNyATHrqmoCA
6. Wifi fix:
modify the line below in /system/build.prop:
ro.securestorage.support=true to false
Good luck I hope it works for you. Let me know your outcome.

This could mean you need to wipe the data partition first for it boot.

Sure, we'll get it fixed no worries.
Anyway it seems like you need the accompanying botloader if its getting stuck on the bootloader animation.

As @levone1 mentioned use Flashtool to downgrade, it doesn't need root or unlocked bootloader.
But with your problems I would start with resetting phone to factory settings. I have non of those problem and battery usage is around two days.

Main point of rooting is full control, (ads, security, functions, appearance, etc.). If you're happy with how it is, leave it alone. If there's things you wish were different, you might need root to change it.
Hi, I'm looking for some help for my Phone;
Since I've updated to Oreo the battery performance got worst. Before I was able to have almost two days usage, but now I can't use it more the one day according with the normal use. In addiction it was never been hot during the usage before, today while I was watching some video on chrome the smartphone became so hot on the back. I've already tried to fix with a couple of factory reset but nothing happend.
Any advice?
May I downgrade to Nougat?
After oreo update I downgraded to marshamallow 6.0.1 because I was very disappointed with battery life, overall speed and performance. Also xperia themes used to work better. In oreo battery life is 1 day. In mm 2-3 days. RAM free in oreo is 800-900 MB. In MM 1.6-1.7 GB. I'm using service exchange unit, not the customised one. And thats the best rom for me, available via xperifirm in flashtool

Thanks for your reply; due to I'm not at all aware on modding, I looked for some guide/tutorial online without success.
I have an Xperia X Compact no rooted, No Brand, Sim free and still one year italian warranty, with build num 34.4.A.2.70.
So how may I downgrade to Nougat with XperiFirm Tool?
Do you have any tested tutorial/guide I can follow?
I hope that will help anyone who wants downgrade to nougat from oreo without modding or voiding warranty
Well, backup all your files before flashing. You will lost everything on your phone but not on SD card though.
Follow these steps that I prepared:
1. On PC download flashtool. Just click DOWNLOAD FILE button. Link is below.
https://devfiles.co/download/MIRnJ1H2/flashtool-0.9.23.1-windows.exe
2. Install flashtool via downloaded .exe file. That's easy, just follow instructions displayed during installation.
3. Download latest nougat official rom for Xperia X Compact. Link is below.
http://dl16.easy-firmware.com/download.php?ds=139378xtc5dc194365f4dcb3e43c023f2bf0824210b204de0
4. Paste downloaded .ftf to desktop.
5. Go to folder where you have installed flashtool (Default: C:\Flashtool).
6. On 32-bit Windows open Flashtool.exe; On 64-bit Windows open Flashtool64.exe.
7. Click thunder button click and select flashmode.
8. Click on 3 dots on right corner and find ftf. It's on desktop.
9. On Firmwares tab click arrows near Xperia X Compact>F5321>34.3.A.0.252
10. On Wipe tab under Sin select all things (APPS_LOG, DIAG etc.)
11. Click flash button down below.
12. Wait for rom to prepare.
13. If there will be any question click Yes or OK.
14. Big windows with phones will show up.
15. Turn off your phone.
16. Hold volume down button and in the same time connect it to PC.
17. Wait until flashing is ready (~10 minutes).
18. Flash will be done when you find in log this line:
INFO - Flashing finished.
19. Unplug your phone and turn it on.
20. Enjoy.

20. Enjoy.

Hello i just installed 7.1 , it seems to work now but i have some questions
1. when flashing the files i got like a message that some file couldnt be found but i just press " ok, continue"
then in the log i got messages like this:
- No loader found or set manually. Skipping loader
Unit 2212 not found in bundle
Unit 2550 not found in bundle
Did i do something wrong? or it doesnt matter at all
I followed exactly the steps listed before

I'll help u but before we start here is a disclaimer:
DOING THIS WILL CLEAN UP UR PHONE SO DONT BLAME ME WHEN UR DATA IS GONE!
BUT, u can enable google backuping so it will backup MOST of ur stuff, now lets start
download the stock rom from here: http://en.miui.com/download-333.html
and download this tool: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=at...yYzJhMXwxNTM1NDI2MDE3fDIyNTA2MTkxMTB8ODA3MjUy
decompress the zip even if u dont actually see that anything is inside when u open it from winrar
then reboot ur phone to bootloader mode and start the tool
click on refresh in the tool and u should see ur phone string
then click on browse and take it to this folder
tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_20180712.0000.00_8.0_735823083f\tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_8.0
matters what u chose it might be just: tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_8.0
then in the bottom right make sure its clean all and lock
and then press on flash and wait, i heard someone say they bricked their phone when they flashed using miflash because a power outage happend and the proccess stopped so make sure u dont accidentally unplug ur phone from the pc
when finished the phone will auto restart itself and u should be having stock rom, I hope I helped u
if u have any questions I'll be glad to answer them if I can

I have rooted Mi A1 and using Resurrection Remix OS. I have rooted device with Megisk and also installed TWRP recovery. Now I want to back to stock rom, so how to unroot my device and what I have to take care while doing this (about magisk and twrp). Please suggest me the good video or steps in brief because I don't know much about such things.

How long does this process usually take? I started the flashing process on my mi a1 20 minutes ago and for the last 15 minutes it has just been bootlooping it seems...
EDIT: So in an attempt to restart the fastboot (volume and power button) it seems I have finished the flashing process. (In case someone else has this problem)
Hi All.
Getting this error while flashing.
Please help ASAP.
