Sounds like kingroot method broke your phone. This has happened to my LG G2, it bootlooped using kingroot. Unfortunaly i can't find a .kdz for your device. Doing some googling will get you a recovery file. Best of Luck!

Ok now i have a big problem in the middle of rooting evo

ok i started rooting my phone with unrevoked 3 as i was told here on the site. it loaded and said it found my evo and rebooted my phone. then i scroll down to hboot usb and hit the power button and my phone does nothing. on my screen a pop up comes up saying, "windows needs to install driver software for your android 1.0" and i do not have a disc nor can i find these files. meanwhile my phone wont turn off or on. have i bricked my device? someone please help me or walk me thru please. i dont have insurance!
Do you get that message on the screen of your phone?
Are you sure you properly installed the hboot drivers as instructed in the unrevoked 3 instructions.
1. Windows users MUST install the HBOOT drivers for this to work:

I am by no means an expert but if it were me I would pull the battery and start from scratch. Make sure you follow the instructions to a T...especially regarding the hboot drivers.
i have gotten it to come back on and it doesnt appear to be bricked thank the lord. is there a way i can tell if the root was successful? it is loaded up on my homescreen

It should be an app that you already have if you're rooted. Someone else chime in if I'm wrong about that one.
it must not be rooted bc when i go to sprint hotspot. it recognizes my evo's wifi signal on my computer like it did before, but it still only connects as local and doesnt allow internet access. does anyone have any advice as to how i can check if the unrevoked root worked or not. thanks so much

Download "Terminal Emulator". It's a free app. Open it up and type SU and then enter. You should see this if you are rooted--> #
yes when i did that it said something is requesting super user and i hit allow. and at that point a # sign came back.

Even with root, you cannot use the Sprint hotspot app for free tethering. You have to use Android Wireless Tether that's available in the market. Android Wireless Tether needs root in order to work its magic.

[Q] CURRENT Root/TWRP/SU for D801 since 80120E KDZ

This was originally a question, but since no one answered I finally tracked down the info in bits and pieces.
Thought I'd post it in case someone else has the issue.
These are 3 easy steps to take a Tmobile LG G2 running the current (7/27/14) 80120E KDZ from the OTA, and root your phone, install recovery and turn off the OTA.
If you need to return to stock go to this link http://theunlockr.com/2013/10/31/unroot-lg-g2-verizon/ and return to stock first.
1) From a rooted Tmobile LG G2, download Towelroot... it does all the work.
2) For TWRP go to http://www.droidviews.com/install-twrp-recovery-on-lg-g2-running-android-4-4-2-kitkat/ and download Autorec and it automatically loads TWRP... Only wish it had been that easy to root and recovery the last time.
Then FOR TMOBILE USERS:
Turn off OTA:
3845#*801# turns on Hidden menu
Select WLAN test
OTA settings: Disable
Others:
3845#*800# (AT&T)
3845#*801# (T-Mobile)
3845#*802# (European)
3845#*803# (AT&T and Canadian)
5689#*980 (Sprint)
Knock On will be disabled so now do this:
* 3845#*801# > setting > update touch firmware ( the 801 should be which ever model your phone is)
* The device will freeze ( Wait until the process )
so no need to downgrade??
just ordered an lg g2 from tmo. will be on the latest version, so my question is I dont have to downgrade anymore to install custom recovery i can just use autorec? thanks for your time!

No, I had just done the OTA 2 days ago which messed up my rooted system, so I did a complete factory reset and then did the OTA to bring it up to most current Kitkat 801120E and the above it was I did.
The ONLY issue I have found is that my knock knock will turn the screen off, but not turn it back on (I have to push the power button), but that's fine for me because I kinda hate the knock knock feature in the first place.

No, I'm completely happy without it. Basically the reason I root my phone is to get rid of the bloatware.

Hello.
Congratulations on rooting your device. The LG G2's bootloader is locked. But that's not a problem. In order to get a custom recovery so you can start flashing, you just need to install an application called AutoRec and tap a button - it's that simple.
Check our this thread and follow the instructions. Make sure you download the right model for your device.

OK, everything works fine, but I made something that I *should* not to do... "Calibrate" the battery with Battery Calibration app... Since I've done it, my battery is just going crazy. It stays stock at 100% for an hour and then drops so much fast... What is the problem and how do I solve it? (When I restart without battery level at 100% it still reset the battery log :c)
P.S: It takes so much time to just show up expected battery time left!

Problem with lg g2 VS98026a after ROOT - HELP

Hello guys, I just bought an LG G2 VS980 like 2 weeks ago and everything was working fine till yesterday, I decided to root the phone to do some tweaks to it and I found some problems that were not there before rooting.
The problems were.
-Slow charing
-Battery Draining.
First thing I did today in the morning was UNROOT the device because I thought the problems would be solved in that way, to my surprise they are still there!!
I tried to put back the stock rom but my phone can't enter into download mode, tried rooting and entering with TWRP and I can't root my phone with the same method again :crying::crying: stump root says "ERROR: Unsupported device" When it is at 13,000.
Is there any way I could go back to stock without using download mode or TWRP?
HEEELP!!!!
Thank you in advance guys, I know you guys work hard to build such a great and helpful community.

But you need to be root to do that right? Because I CAN'T root stump root is telling me that my device is unsupported, maybe SuperSU did not fully uninstall.

Have you tried downloading and running AutoRec instead of StumpRoot? StumpRoot roots your device but doesn't install TWRP. AutoRec will downgrade your bootloader to Jelly Bean and will install TWRP as a custom recovery.

Sorry I misread your initial situation. Yes, AutoRec will need to be given elevated privileges and will need to be run after using IORoot25. Have you tried IORoot25 before?

Oh sorry, I unrooted with the SuperSU option to unroot.
SOLVED
All I needed was to get into download mode, the problem was a combination of usb port + cable. Both my laptop and my desktop only have 3.0 usb ports, but I found a couple of 2.0 ports at the back of the case (the ones that come with the mobo), when I tried with those ports it inmediately entered into download mode .
Now I am using official lollipop (manual OTA) without root
Thank you for all your help d00lz

We would have to figure out how to back up the original recovery. You could also try the fastboot boot command. That's pretty much a sure way to boot a recovery without messing things up but it has to be in .IMG format to try it.
By any chance has anyone tried the root permission setting found in engineering mode under settings? Dial *#*#2637643#*#* in your dialer to access it
