Secon step is taking your phone apart.
Third step is (for me) finding where heat is coming of.
Fourth step is adding thermal paste under heatsink and on heatsink(I use MX-2 because is not conducting electricity).
Fifth step is closing phone and keep fingers crosed.
Sixth step is testing.
And that's it,now enjoy your (posebly) colder phone!
Edit:After fresh boot temp is 45° Celsius
After torturing it whit antutu for 3 hours (whit thermal throttling on) score is same (maybe litle bit higher because I before used to get around 22000)
After leaving 5 minutes to sit (temperature in home was 28°C)

Got a screencap, would publish it on Imgur and share to people which want to see this via privates.

Guys keep at mind this is just a TEST

Kid, you need to learn more about the principles of heat dissipation, how thermal paste works and why is it applied, because what you did here is a **** up of an epic magnitude. Oh, lawd!

That is just a test,to learn

Battery cover clicks, cracks, pisses me off

Hi guys,
I'm having this problem and I would like to know if it's happening to someone else. There are certain parts of the battery cover that will click and crack when pressed. They're basically the phone's "temples" (the top part of the phone's sides) and the area around the headphone jack, as shown on this pic:

It's pretty irritating, since that's basically the area I use to grab the phone and get it out of its case. Do you get it too?
I don't have this problem. But I expect people will get the same problem if they open the battery cover too many times. You can try calling HTC to see if you can buy a battery cover from them.
mine does it. Didn't at first, now it does. No big deal.
Thanks for your replies guys, glad to know that at least one more person has this problem too
Rvinny, have you ever dropped your phone? I have, and fear both things might be related.
I've dropped it like four times now and mine doesn't creak. I am probably the pickiest person in the world too, but I have to say... the build quality on this phone is pretty solid... its just too bad they used the worst speakers ive ever heard in a mobile phone before. Bet the speakers on the desire will be good though ... bastards...
mine clicks in the same spots.
i've been thinking about getting a replacement battery cover.
easy fix - put a miniscule amount of electrical tape right under each of the corner tabs on the battery cover to use as a padding/buffer. result - solid feeling phone, no more flex.

[Question] Please Help XDA Gods

I just bought a second hand t-mobile HD2 last night which i intend to install android and wp7. The phone worked great for the first 2 hours before i put my sim in (it was in my mytouch 4g). I pulled the battery to put the sim in and once i turned my phone on i get 7 vibrates and it stays at the stay together screen. The longer i leave the battery out of my phone the longer i can use the phone for. It always freezes and restarts. I looked at the pins in the back but they seem fine.
Edit: Just stress tested it at 1.5ghz for 3 mins hottest it went was 31 degrees Celsius. I honestly have no idea what the problem is
Heres a video i made of it the battery was out for about 3 mins

AND put your question in your title! PLEASE. Nice pictures, though!
Someone's obviously had it apart for some reason, and that doesn't bode well. Can you try it with another battery, just to rule out a battery problem?
is that better?

Maybe I will find an easy way to post pictures later, but do NOT take a hammer to your vibrant (because it has survived this long under UNintentional abuse) and hit it with a hammer and expect it to work afterwards. It probably won't. No matter how drunk you are. And regardless of how much you paid cash for your phone. Cash.
I am guessing no-one will warranty what a picture would show. Gorilla glass or not, do NOT hit it with a hammer to show how much more resilient it is vs. dumb phone. It is NOT that resilient. Learn from my mistakes. Seriously.
Now excuse me while I try to sink into the world or porn so the last thoughts in my head(when I should be falling asleep) are NOT how I tried to prove my samsung had more balls than you do.. besides, she is female, it obviously has more balls than she does..
I kinda wonder if this is a subconscious excuse to get a new phone next month when I have money.. but I think I would have waited till next month is closer. No, this is probably an exercise in stupidity, one you need not regret. Not to the point there are dents in your battery. Kicking myself constantly!
Edit: I have a few extra batteries laying around, but what do you want to bet it isn't the dented battery that keeps it from booting or making a sound? I'll bet you 500 bux(what it cost when it was new) it isn't the battery..
Edit2: A picture posted while I am not sober enough to care(I hope, we will see if I sleep..)

Neither is the stuff on the inside.. I know a dozen ways to make it make a sound, or show in adb.. if it worked at all. I have a feeling I am going to be far too sober before the drunken sandman shows up..

I can't fap to this.
I was fapping my shi* last night.. I was in the middle of d/ling a porn and lightly playing with my jack-o-lantern and I open up this post.
I just went to sleep after and kept my phone close to me like a virgin.

[Q] Broken NFC Spring Pin

So I accidentally broke the NFC pin the other day and decided not to solder it back as I might get the device into an even worse state(and I don't use NFC).
The question is, is it safe not to put it back? Do I get any side effects for not putting it back?
Thanks.

There is 1 obvious side effect. Nfc won't work lol, you might have settings force close or a kernel error as well, with the hardware missing. That's just speculation on my part as i don't know for sure.
That soldering job looks doable, albeit a bit precise. I say try it without abs if you have issues, calm down get you hands steady and attempt the repair with tons of patience.
Btw... Wtf were you doing in the first place to break it off?

Well, i was repairing the screen lift issue that i was having. Then when i was about to check the screen, something (maybe a string of cloth) tangled and broke it. I know i am clumsy at those times and have learned my lesson..
I am not really using NFC at all( the Philippines is behind when it comes to NFC implementation) so i am considering leaving it that way since i am not having any FC (for now)
Yeah it's still pretty much a gimmick here in the states. I say if isn't causing any issues then it should be ok with out it.
I would still keep it in an anti static bag in a safe place in case of either future issues or desire for Nfc.

Thanks for the input studacris. I'm keeping my fingrers crossed for this broken NFC thing.
It's just a connection to the NFC antenna, no other side effects other than NFC not working.

Awesome phone, I love it much more than my LG G4.
I had Redmi 1 before, but I hope someone will build Cyangenomod for this. can't wait.

Hey ! Could you write some information about music and camera quality and also what about gps fix ? Thank You
I would love some info about the GPS as well. How quick and precise it is, specially in airplane mode (or GPS only mode).
Pretty nice . What about gaming? No lags?

I read that on gizchina the gps fixing is fast, but the signal wasn't too accurate sometimes on a trip (prob. by car I guess)..
A gps test in a town between taller buildings would be nice.
Have you found any issues yet?
****. That's important for me. A few meters wrong on a trip or worse than that?
If you hold the phone and SHAKE IT left and right, you can feel the battery juggling around!!!
What happened to Xiaomi QA? lol

Anybody else with similar problem?
I really have no idea how the battery could be jiggling around. Not on my device. There are no gaps internally.
If you open the back cover, battery is the only moving part
it does move left and right a bit, no joke, I take things apart and put them back together, same thing.
fingers on left and right edge of the phone (near the bottom) and shake it left and right, you could hear it. I guess it happens to all removable battery phones.
