HI,
My note 3 Was on
Country United Arab Emirates
Product code XSI
PDA N9005XXUGBOG4
CSC N9005OJVGBOG2
but when i check on OTA update it says yes update available, and it updated to this
Country South Africa (XFM)
Version Android 5.0
Product code XFM
PDA N9005XXUGBOK9
CSC N9005OJVGBOI1
i revert back to XSI firmware. then using keis i found update,
And also using KIes did the same thing.
How is it possible? both product codes are different, pleae guide me about it.

It got right firmware. Its just sammobile website issue, websites does not show firmware for XSI region, which is the same as XFM region.

[Q] Change csc? Skygo region locked?

Hi all,
looking for some help.
I have a Note 3 from Germany and have run into a problem trying to load Skygo onto it. For some reason it keeps saying device not supported.
After doing some research i came to the conclusion that my phone must have a German firmware/CSC and have since Flashed (?) to a uk ROM.
I believe this was successful but Skygo still doesn't work?
Here are the details from *#1234#
AP: N9005XXUENB7
CP: N9005XXUENB1
CSC: N9005OXAENB1
Here's some additional info from "Phone info":
Country of origin: Made in Vietnam
Knox 0x0
Original CSC Code: BTU
Firmwares CSC Code: BTU
Active CSC Code: BTU
CSC Country: UK & IRE
Android version 4.4.2 KOT49H N9005XXUENB7
I'm really not that Tech savvy and i'm unsure if my ROOT was successful and if my CSC has changed?
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Rees

CSC:MJ4 (XSI) says that your region is XSI -> United Arab Emirates, running MJ4 modem (Jellybean 4.3).
Thanks from me too

okay thank you i just flashed united arab emirates firmware through odin and now i am able to receive ota and kies update

Am I using the correct firmware for my phone?

I have installed this firmware: N910FXXU1COJ3_N910FBTU1COI1_BTU from sammobile
I have a note 4 that is unlocked and based in the UK, it was purchased new off amazon. My original CSC code was BTU but my active one is XEC/BTU. Should I be worried and should I try to change it.
When I type the serial number into kies I am told PDA: OK2/ CSC: OJ2/ PHONE: OK1 (XEC). However XEC is for spanish phones which mine is not.
How can I get my device back to its original state when it was first purchased?

Unable to update Note 3

I bought the phone which was brand new, couple of years ago. I wanted to update it to the latest OS but was unable to do so as it says it was modified.
After extensive research online, i came to know i have to flash the stock rom using Odin. But i am unable to find the stock firmware that matches the codes.
These are the results from *#1234#
AP : N9005XXUBMI7
CP : N9005XXUBMI6
CSC : N9005OJVBMI2
I am unable to trace the stock ROM firmware. Appreciate if anyone could give the link and the instructions if possible.
EDIT: Okay i managed to download the stock ROM of 4.3 from a website and successfully flashed it. But being in 4.3 it says the phone is up to date and has no updates available when i check for new updates

I downloaded the 4.3 OS and installed that matched my version. How do i go for 5.0 as it is not showing in my phone? Do i need to match the version codes as in that website the 5.0 version is not matching my phone version
Use the newest XXU* Version fitting to your home country best. In my case you would need Germany (DBT) because it was a unbranded german phone. Thus I need PDA: N9005XXUGBOK6 and CSC: N9005DBTGBOI1. Because I am NOT using stock at all anymore, I always use the newest BL and MODEM, but in your case just use the most recent Firmware which fits your origin and provider.

Seems like Sri Lanka has a N9005ODD* CSC in recent FWs, but you have a N9005OJV* one used in South Africa and Morocco currently.
So I would try these:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62194/N9005XXUGBOK9_N9005OJVGBOI1_XFM (South Africa)
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/61958/N9005XXUGBOK9_N9005OJVGBOI1_MWD (Morocco)
No guarantee though, but in theory it's not interesting at all which FW you use. At least I already used DBT ones and Nordic Country NEE ones and had no problems in the past.
So you could try http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62526/N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005ODDGBOJ1_SLK (Sri Lanka) too. But as I said, FW update always is a risk and if you don't know how to fix stuff, it can be a nice activity for a whole weekend to fix stuff again.
If you want to be more sure and secure... load https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo and send the stuff shown in "General", "CSC-Code", "Firmware" and "Android" in here. Most interesting is the "Active CSC Code"

Isn't the different PDA version a problem?
Nope. PDA version changes from time to time. Check the firmwares for CSC XSI and you will see that they are Android version dependent. Same can be seen for any country.

[Q] No OTAs since stock January BTU firmware, possibly CSC issue

I bought the phone in Carphone Warehouse in the UK, unlocked, with Marshmallow at the time. Sadly, I don't remember what CSC I was on at the time, but I am 90% certain it was XEU (UK / Ireland, unbranded).
I was on Nougat beta, officially through OTA and Galaxy Beta Programme app. Once Nougat became available, I flashed final BTU firmware with Odin, including the CSC field because I wanted to reset everything and start from scratch.
BTU DPLT https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/BTU/download/G935FXXU1DPLT/120208/
All good, everything works, apart from OTA updates... I am stuck on January security patch and I do not really know why.
Currently, recovery screen and Phone Info app tells me that I am on XEU, even though I flashed BTU CSC file quite a while ago.
Question is, how do I get OTA back?
Not sure which one am I supposed to download:
BTU DQD7 https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/BTU/download/G935FXXU1DQD7/130721/
XEU DQD7 https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/XEU/download/G935FXXU1DQD7/131369/
...and what packages am I supposed to flash, i.e. just AP field, with or without CSC?
Someone told me to deregister from Beta programme, but the sideloaded app obviously does not work anymore, server errors.

I'm also still also in january security patch. I had read somewhere that it's normal, because this updates are regional updates, so some regions need it more often and others don't. No need to worry about.

Hi, I'm not sure it will help you but when I flashed to the BTU CSC from Virgin's VIR I had to do it twice, the first time I used the home CSC because I wanted to keep my files, but then found out I was still on Virgin's CSC. I then flashed it again but used the regular CSC and started from scratch and it worked. I've been getting the updates ever since. As for which files you should use, I think I used all of them included in the folder that I downloaded from SamMobile.
