That's related to the release country EMEA, the build number is the same as all the others XT1072 DE, UK, EU-EMEA, GB, LA, etc.

Did this firmware can cause a hard brick? Im asking because there are recently a lot of threads with hard bricked phones (Qualcomm Hs Usb Qdloader 9008)

First I've heard. I simply download it from file factory then upload it to help people out

Do you also have reversed audio channels? (left is right, and right is left) It happens on speakers and headphones.

I used that guide to unlock my bootloader and yes it will erase your data. But you can backup your contacts etc with apps like super backup. You can also backup your WhatsApp to Google drive. It has a built in option

when i rebooted it just keeps on a screen with a motorola logo

Put the zip file in memory root directory.
Go Configuration, About Phone, Check for update and done.
Enjoy
@noRetail Nice to hear that lolipop works well.
did you lose any your installed apps from kitkat after update?or everything stayed the same after update?
No lose any app, all work perfect, fast, no lags, I liked very much.

I'm from Brazil, I update from Stock 4.4.4 BR, Locked Bootloader, Stock Recovery.
@AlexyPepsy
with brazilian lollipop your phone most likely will not be able to detect sim card..
And the BootAnimation? (Sorry for my bad english, I'm Brazillian)
Always good for me, BootAnimation, SD Card detected and opened, apps working with no errors.
I had the CM11 installed , I went back to stock 4.4.4, not 4.4.2, caught the bootloader , copied the ota zip file available for internal memory, after this the update was easy .

[GUIDE]Safely Restore to Stock

***RESTORE TO STOCK 4.4.4 SAFELY***
This guide is only for those who have entered into the world of "Customization" after getting the 4.4.4 update via OTA, before unlocking their bootloaders, or for those whose devices were shipped with 4.4.4.
After watching so many members of XDA going ahead, skipping important steps while trying to Restore their Moto E to stock 4.4.4, and ultimately ending up failing to do so, or in the worst case a BRICK, it's time I put in a few words here...
If you follow the steps correctly, you WON'T BRICK your device, and will be able to enjoy the fully restored firmware.
1) gpt.bin (WARNING: DO NOT flash this file)
Fastboot command :
mfastboot.exe flash partition gpt.bin
This is the file which contains all the partition information of your phone. It gets updated with each OTA update, and you CANNOT DOWNGRADE the partition table. If you somehow end up flashing the file, either the remaining commands may succeed, or fail... And when, you accept OTAs,!!!BRICKED!!!
2) motoboot.img (WARNING: DO NOT flash this file)
Fastboot command :
mfastboot.exe flash motoboot motoboot.img
This is your bootloader. I have very little info on how it gets flashed through each update... The bootloader is the bios of your phone. If you mess up this file, GOD knows what will happen!!! You won't be able to boot up your device, not even to the bootloader mode (or fastboot mode as some other people call it).
IF ANY ONE OF THE ABOVE FILES ARE MESSED UP, YOU CAN SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR PHONE FOREVER!!
Now, the commands which you should execute are listed below:
mfastboot.exe flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
Now, Check inside your firmware zip for the numbers (system.img_sparsechunk.0, system.img_sparsechunk.1 etc.). If they are 0,1,2 then follow the steps above then type in:
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
Or , if you have like 1,2,3 then type:
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
Now type in:
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe erase cache
mfastboot.exe erase userdata
You MUST execute the commands in the order given above, to safely restore to KitKat 4.4.4.
All the best!!! :good:
This is a working tutorial to get and install the 5.1 OTA.

Yes you can do so... Just follow the tutorial.... You can get back to stock safely....
1) Make sure you clear all partitions from your phone except ur sd card... Do this via TWRP
2) Now you have a clean system.... You are ready to enter the commands
MAKE SURE YOU EXECUTE ALL OF THEM IN SEQUENCE (Except the ones I have told to leave out namely gpt and motoboot).
You are done!

Hi, I did everything as per post.
After rebbot I am shown old boot menu for some time.
But then I am back into lolipop .... Please advise if I missed something.
I just followed your instructions. They seem to have worked well. Thanks!
One comment- I understand that the first two commands are not to be followed, but perhaps it would be wiser to not give the full command that will brick the phone? That way people who just see the number and the command won't just be bricking their phone when they don't read the full instructions. Just say "don't use any command that includes gpt" or something like that instead of giving them the command.

I like your suggestions... But I made this post for those who wanted to downgrade.
I hope u understand that downgrading is a very risky process, and EVERYONE SHOULD READ EVERY SINGLE LINE prior to trying to mess with their phone. Some told me to write the full commands so that they can clearly understand, while some like you are telling me to be more precise
Well, it's too tough for me to step on two boats at the same time. But still, I will try to be more precise for my next tutorial

I told not to flash the gpt, AS WELL AS THE MOTOBOOT... It has been proved by other devs here at XDA, that these two will brick ur phone, and not the other ones!!!
So, don't blame me. You must have done something that was not mentioned here, that was responsible for the brick.

"No SIM Card" Error after installing LineageOS

I followed the guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo.../rom-lineageos-14-1-moto-e4-qualcomm-t3690156
But now the sim card reader is not working.
I then installed the stock ROM using this guide: http://techposts.org/unbrick-moto-g4-plus-flash-stock-romfirmware/
But it is still not working.
I really don't think it's a hardware issue because the contacts are all there and clean. The sim card works in other phones so it's not that either.
I'm actually not sure if it worked before this, but I'm pretty sure it did. Because I flashed the moment I got the phone.
Thanks for your help!

Do you have the plus model? This is for the regular e4. Probably should have activated it first too.
Which model do you have? Qualcomm? Mediatek? What carrier? You have to flash the proper firmware.

Hi thanks for responding! I have the E4 XT1765. It's Qualcomm. MetroPCS. I tried the PERRY_METROPCS_C and PERRY_METROPCS_C_7.1.1 from from here: firmware. center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20E4/Stock/
Same issue on one of my XT1765 MetroPCS E4's... it didn't happen after installing LineageOS, tho (maybe wrong thread to post this?). It happened after fiddling with several things - editing build.prop, installing unofficial apps, and disabling/re-enabling bloatware/system apps. I also lost the camera completely and lost all lockscreen notifications. I tried researching the problem, undoing all the changes, and even installing LineageOS. I've since re-installed stock several times on it and all the issues are corrected, except the SIM one - it just stays on Emergency Calls Only or sometimes No Sim, even with a known working, activated SIM card at the MetroPCS store. They suspected hardware (I don't, too coincidental on timing), but wouldn't submit it for repair as the screen is cracked a bit, so no warranty. For $50, it's a great phone, tho, so I bought another one.
It'd be nice to know if there is a fix for this. I tried all the suggestions I could find online.

There's an unofficial one here in the forum
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...aokp-rom-oms-substratum-t3748033/post75529247
ok. Now I'm thinking why would aokp help me? I tried installing dotOS and resurrection. So I don't think another custom ROM will help.

I don't know. I was just pointing out that we had one, lol. Not sure it will help you.
I see you "solved" it, lol
Hey guys! So I solved it. I reinstalled the stock rom using this instead: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e4/how-to/guide-flash-stock-firmware-recovery-t3738165. Make sure you change the two lines with oem_sparsechunk with just one like of oem.

Not for me. As we've said, re-installing stock ROM doesn't seem to solve the problem for some people, but it's cool it did for you. Other forums are peppered with people experiencing the same SIM issue, some even apparently happening at random.
beachfl said:

By installing unofficial apps, what do you mean?
And what system apps, specifically, did you re-enable or disable?

Unofficial apps... I just mean any apps that I didn't get from the Google Play Store. Nothing too dodgy, but I just can never rule out that those might be a factor in issues.
Specifically, I played around with disabling/uninstalling the MetroPCS apps (MyMetro, NameID, MetroZone) and a few things that had "Moto" in the name, not sure which... that's all.

You delete both those lines and replace them. Unlike the system.img file, which you do have to flash in 'sparsechunks', the oem.img file in this phone's stock ROM isn't in chunks, so flashing it is as a whole, with only one line, as follows:
> fastboot flash oem oem.img
And yah, I don't understand why, but I found flashing the partition table (gpt.bin) made my phone bootloop. Omitting it worked.
HTH.

Yup, that list all looks exactly like what I did.
'sudo -s' .... no, you don't include that when running fastboot from Windows, it's a Linux thing. I'm not sure you have to, but I do always run adb/fastboot from a command prompt with admin priveleges when I'm using WIndows. which is kinda the same thing as 'sudo' on Linux.

Yep, similar experience. I hate doinking around in fastboot if another option exists. That said, one needs to be comfortable at the command line in case something goes amiss.

Hi @lohanbarth,
Please change the title of the thread to "[STOCK][ALJETER]Firmware Moto G6 Play".
The reason is to be consistent with the other two threads for "G6" and "G6 Plus".
With this change will be more easy to distinguish for users of the "G6 family".
And thank you for provide theses firmwares! :good:
Sorry if this is a dumbass question but can I flash this on the boost/Sprint variant since it can be bootloader unlocked? And will it remove the bloatware downloading from boost/Sprint. Again sorry if it's a dumb question.

If you have a bricked boost mobile variant and need a jeter rom u can try this backup: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pHiR6fssHOTJ-13-yttipMdB-DBNv_IM
Just unzip it and put it inside the TWRP folder on your phone and click Restore with twrp. It should flash. I tested it twice on my G6 Play (boost mobile variant) (jeter)
I actually got it flashed through twarp it said it was a success but when I reboot my phone it stays on the Motorola splash screen

I followed all the steps, but at the time of restart, I sent back to the boot manager, I had to install the previous firmware
Bty I found the right firmware for the Moto g6 play 1922-9 and it works flawless

if at the end of flashing it is returned to the bootloader...
1 clarification about the firmware opp27.91-87.. in the command lines, one of the system lines is missing:
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
If they add it to the .bat, or if they include it manually, it should start without problems
problem with sound
i flashed my xt1922-4 a few hours ago, but first problem that i found, was the calls, speaker no sound when make or receive calls, only handset and can't install magisk (boot loop after boot moto sequence)

I have the same model and I noticed that one of the lines in the bat file is wrong, the dspso.bin is actually adspso.bin (line 5), just edit it and it should work fine:
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
In addition, add the line that Wid_w mentions:
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
I attach my edited .bat file, I just 've flashed mi phone and everything seems to work without problems.
Thansk for guide, but i cant install Magisk on this OPP27.91-87, stay in M Logo. Any Help? (my poor english)

Moto g6 plus on startup bootloop

Hi, I have looked for this problem, but cannot find any answers. I tried to flash a copy of the official rom on my phone, The bootloader is unlocked but not rooted. It seemed to go well, but now is on a permante startup loop.
I can get into fastboot and recovery, is there any way I can recover from this?
in fastboot it says baseband not found.
Any help will be really appreciated

Ok... I guess you flashed the wrong firmware. But that's no problem. Just answer the questions below and you'll get a link to the correct firmware. Once you flash it your device will be fine again.
do you have a moto g6 plus?
where are you from? there are different firmwares
e.g. for Europe, India, etc.

No, you have to flash it via fastboot. However you can also try the Lenovo moto flash tool that does it for you

A little guide to get the correct firmware for your device:
1. go to fastboot mode
2. type the following command
Code:
fastboot getvar ro.carrier
the output will be:
Code:
ro.carrier: [I]your software channel[/I]
3. follow this link:
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/evert/official/
and choose "your software channel"
(e.g. reteu / retail / retin, etc.)
4. download the latest firmware

Download and extract the logo.zip attachment. It contains a logo.bin file. Copy logo.bin to /sdcard (internal storage), open terminal app and type:
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/logo.bin of=/dev/block/by-name/logo`getprop ro.boot.slot_suffix`
Reboot and enjoy your new logo!
On the top left corner you'll see the 'Verity mode is set to disabled' message which is quiet normal.
I am having the same exact problem as the OP (except I haven't done anything to my phone lately, it just ran out of battery, shut down, and went into endless bootloop after I charged it up).
I tried following the above instructions (my software channel is RETLA) and found two "latest" versions as of this posting (and both zip files were found identical by the diff command, as were their contents after I unzipped them)-- XT1926-6_EVERT_RETLA_SS_9.0_PPWS29.116-11-13_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip and XT1926-7_EVERT_RETLA_DS_9.0_PPWS29.116-11-13_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip.
I tried flashing the XT1926-7 one and my phone is still in a boot loop. Since the other file is identical, I'm not expecting it to work either. So, which version of these firmwares is the correct one to use?
I thought that the point was that all these would work with a G6plus in the RETLA channel and some were just newer than others.
Thanks.
---------- Post added at 07:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:07 AM ----------
I tried an earlier one, XT1926-7_EVERT_RETLA_DS_9.0_PPWS29.116-11-8_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip and got...

I went back to the earliest available 9.0 firmware, XT1926-7_EVERT_RETLA_9.0_PPW29.116-11_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip, flashed that, and still the above message.
Can anybody help?
Thanks.

Well, i read this post and answers till the end, as it describes very well my problem, but no such solution, so if someone could help would be great !
The device is Moto G6 plus XT1926-8 and i still have all acess to fastboot, and recovery by pressing keys, i've already flashed this roms:
XT1926-8_EVERT_RETBR_9.0_PPWS29.116-16-18_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC
XT1926-8_EVERT_RETBR_9.0_PPWS29.116-16-15_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC
stockrom.net_XT1926-8_EVERT_RETBR_9.0_PPWS29.116-16-11_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC
in this order, but always got an infinite bootloop that sometime comes to inicial screens where you can click "start" set wifi, etc, but the device always restart no matter i click into it, or wait till a suposed "end" of restart rotine, that never came, always come to a restart showing my unlocked bootloader screen etc etc. I could suggest now try flashing a android 8 version rom, but for my experience, i have fear (not knowledge) that could something go wrong with radios and i finish not getting signal, so i came here looking for some help, if anyone knows something please help ! i will monitor this page so i can get any answer ! I've got some questions:
- did you flash Magisk or other tools like a "disable-dm_verity.zip"?
- userdata erased?
- correct boot slot?
Boot into recovery and try to "wipe (user)data". Maybe this will fix the bootloop.

Hi bro, and thanks for the attention !
Answers: No, never used magisk. No other tools for root, if is this your question ! Only tool i have used is "Moto Auto Flash Tool v8.2 By Jamesjerss" that i used to unlock bootloader. All other flash process was done was using that list of commands everyone knows:
mfastboot getvar max-sparse-size
mfastboot oem fb_mode_set
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
mfastboot flash dsp dspso.bin
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
mfastboot flash system_b system_other.img
mfastboot flash oem oem.img
mfastboot flash oem_b oem_other.img
mfastboot flash vendor vendor.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot flash vendor vendor.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot flash vendor vendor.img_sparsechunk.3
mfastboot flash vendor vendor.img_sparsechunk.4
mfastboot erase carrier
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot erase DDR
mfastboot oem fb_mode_clear
mfastboot reboot
About that command "mfastboot erase userdata" you mention,

- correct boot slot?
I dont know what you mean about, maybe something like "fix" boot slot, if so, no, i dont know how to do it, if you can provide a link for me to read about, i thank you, if there was a chance of the device stop this infinites restarts.
Boot into recovery and wipe all data, i did every flash attempt, that had fail, as way to recover the device, no sucess so far, phone stills rebooting to unlocked bootloader screen that goes to motorola logo, that goes to briefly entrance of welcome screen, or nor this, restart reboot again, i observed that after various tries it hangs alone and stills a black screen, that only goes out if i long press power button looking a forced shut off, but it doenst stays turned of, this restart process, restart again. Any clues or ideas ?

Did you use exactly the same commands? Apart from the fact that you should count 0,1,2,3 and 4 your firmware has only two vendor.img sparse files.

yes, don't use it!
Where did you get the firmware from?

Every single command applies to the corresponding file within the firmware.zip. The first command list you posted is the correct one but those two lines vendor.img...3+4 are useless because the files don't exist and cannot be flashed. Delete them and try again.
