In search for developers willing to join LG L Fino CM 12.1 project - LG L Fino Questions & Answers

Guys, we need more developers for CM 12.1 for our device (LG L Fino) ! Any help would be highly appreciated. Most of the ROM's features work, but things like: Camera, NFC, some sensors don't work and if those issues get fixed, the ROM will be ready to be used as a daily driver!
Disclaimer: I didn't know exactly where to post about this question, so mods, feel free to move the thread if necessary!

I will be trying to help you if possible, not only LG L3/L5/L7 but also on this thread you can ask, POLITELY for a stable or smooth kernel/rom. A part of my motivation for starting this thread is for helping people but also for trying to get the Recognised Contributor  . But the main goal of this thread is for HELPING.
Anyways, let's make the form that i want from you:
-device (L3/L5/L7/whatever)
-ROM name, Android version
-kernel name/version (if downladed from here)
-the issue that you are facing, with as many details as possible and some description of the steps you did and where you got stuck.
-if requested, Logcat
4 simple requirements and I or any other OptimaTeam member who knows will try to help you out. Good luck and have a good day. :highfive:

Hey Developers,
I have already built a CM ROM from source for my LG Optimus L7, which wasn't that hard. But now I want to build a ROM from Android Source (AOSP). So my question is: Can somebody give me a guide for the L7 or some advice for building an AOSP ROM?
Thanks:good:

From AOSP you will have to take almost exactly the same steps. Basically there is nothing different to building CM, AOSP, PAC, CarbonRom, etc., but the source of compilation is different and also the thing you will have to do is add the device specific libraries etc. into the AOSP rom sources on your PC and then compile.

[WIP] Who wants full AOSP/CM12 (Android 5.0+) Support of the Moto G 2014? [XT1064/68]

Hi everyone! You guys probably don't know me (Shawn5162) because I haven't been active in the Moto G 2014 forums (except for my restore tool for windows) but I am very active in other device forums such as the Galaxy S5, Note 10.1 2014 Edition, LG G3, etc. In those forums I am defiantly a recognized dev, mostly for porting or compiling ROMs . But the reason I landed in this forum is because I recently I got a new device...the Moto G 2014 and feel it is a great device. But to my shock there were NO great ROMs for this device (by no means am a hatting on the 1 or 2 ROMs here). And that's where I come into play. I am a dev who has a lot of experience with AOSP and compiling and thus want to bring forth a great AOSP ROM for this device. Now I there will be no problem building it as I have experience and if do run into any issue I can refer to the Moto G 2013 devs (since both devices share almost identical specs). Also the AOSP ROM will always be on the latest version of Android (I promise i'll try my best). After all, the good thing about AOSP ROMs is you can have great levels of customization. Now there is a slim chance of failure in the project (like 1% only because everything in life has a chance of failing) but if everything goes well you guys will have a great dev supporting a great ROM. Finally, thanks for your cooperation and I will keep you guys posted all the way.
Sincerely,
Shawn5162
Also if you guys want this project to happen...please comment in the XDA comment section below.

Add new device: LG G3 D855

I'm a fan of Omni when using Galaxy S1. Now I moved to LG G3 so Can anyone build Omni for G3, please? Im very appreciate :victory::highfive:
First, this is not a ROM request forum. Second, it's generally considered rude to ask a developer to make a ROM. Developers for the most part do this as a hobby, in their free time with no compensation outside of any donations they may receive. You are welcome to start reading and researching how to build your own Android ROM.*
Please do not make further posts of this nature.*

We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained whenever possible and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Known issues:
Screenrecording locks up device. ( do not use )
Moving apps to SD does not work. Reports "not enough space" or something similar. FIXED! see here
OTG Host mode only works once per boot.
If GApps are not flashed there is a ramdom reboot issue due to issue with gps blog. Not an issue as long as you flash GApps.
Setting a govenor via "PerformanceControl" may not work due to "Usecase" control.
Offline Charger options via "Extras" do not work.
Root is disabled by default. Some options in "Extras" and "Performance" depend on root. Enable in "Developer Options"
Thanks for all your work.
Good to see you back at it on the T599.
Tried you latest. Seems to work quite well.
Thanks again.

WOWWW you are back! I thought this phone was already forgotten. Let me try this on my old t599n with stock laggy tw 4.1.2 with internal memory for only 2 or 3 apps.
Can't wait for MM rom.
Great work and welcome back!!
Update: Hi @Meticulus , I am using this rom and I like it. I got just some little issues:
First: Is the Carbon sources updated? I ask this because i see in my language (portuguese) there are lot of words not translated (when i was on cm 12.1 in my s5 didnt face this issue), i see that the security patch is November 2015 (a bit old no?)
Second: I don't know why but i can't install facebook... it took like 5 minutes to install and then it fails with error -504 on playstore
BTW great work man, I really wanna try your CM 13 on this machine
Keep it up
If anyone is reading this, I've noticed http://www.meticulus.co.vu is down (probably for years). Is there any way to obtain the 5.11 Carbon ROM ? I have two old T599N devices that I want to "resurrect/upgrade". I've googled a lot but could not find any download links for the 5.1.1 Carbon ROM created by Meticulus for this device. I also tried searching for this in DC hubs but without success. Thank you!

Miui 8 for moto g4 plus possible?

Hi Folks
I am learning how to create/port a rom for device. As a fresh start I want to to port a MIUI for Moto G4 plus device.
can someone guide me and let me know what are difficulties in porting MIUI8/7 for moto G4.
Since MIUI 8 Patchrom is yet to be release can I give a shot to MIUI 7 but its kitkat based rom.
Let me know the possibilty of this project.
I would appreciate if someone wants to work out on this with me.
this way I can also contribute towards XDA society.
Thanks,
:good:
Does this help? you can google and get many other tutorials...
