MM Adoptable Storage - Xperia Z5 Premium General

Hi, I have updated to MM. Does anyone here know how to enable adoptable storage since Sony have disabled it? Thanks.

It does not have adoptable storage...it treats SD cards as it did on lollipop. It can't be edited until Sony enables that option...

****! I just want to ask same question, so can't move apps to sd card?and all apps I installed to sd card must uninstall and reinstall!!!!!

Your mean don't use sd card?! Take it out?! So what is point for sony to make a sd card slot on the phone

There's resource for adoptable storage, so it should be possible to enable (maybe only with root).

God damn it! Why make it so complicate all my pictures and some video on my sd card.now I cant see it from album

There is a way to do it on LG 4 using adb, just dunno if it works on z5.

mine is working now haha thanks to adb ^_^

can you try to give me (us ) a guide for that? I used this one http://blog.sam.liddicott.com/2016/02/android-6-semi-adopted-storage.html
and ended with a negative amount of total storage...

First, you need check your type sd card file system.
May be need the exFAT file system*to use on MM

Looks like there are a couple other threads on this here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/tuto-enable-adoptable-storage-mm-t3334153
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/general/adoptable-storage-looks-enabled-t3334075
Also came across this article today (also in the link above) on how to enable it on the Samsung Galaxy S7:
http://www.modaco.com/news/android/...e-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/
From the sound of it, the Xperia Z3 Compact is also missing Adoptable Storage from its Marshmallow Beta. So I'm curious if this works on the Xperia Z5 line and might work on the Z3 line.

Thanks but no joy here, formatted in exfat in windows and it still doesnt work. Stuck!!

I could enable Adoptable Storage with my Xposed module, but it has lots of problem such as app compatibility...
I couldn't save data on internal storage after enabling, so I just reverted.

Problem installing Android on 15GB cardSD

Hello
I have a problem installing Android 2.2 on SD card 15 gb
It just starts the process until it hangs.
Now I tried to install on a 2GB card and had no problem with installation.
What could be due to the problem?
Thank you.

Try reformating your SDcard.
i have never heard of a 15GB, do you mean a 16GB?
also, look at the class of it, it needs to be at the very very least a class4.
and i think the card is just too big, i heard many other people reporting the issue.
if your card is from tmoUS, it is a class 2 and is not fast enough to run it.
try an 8GB class6 for 25$US on newegg.com

see the 6 in the C. thats how you tell what class it is.
ALSO! this type of question should have been posted in the GENERAL section. as this does not have anything to do with DEVELOPMENT.
thank you.
8GB card class 4 work?
i agree, you will have a better chance of getting responses if this is posted in the general section.....having said that, i am using the stock 16gb class 2 sd card that came with the phone and have had no issues at all with running android for going on a month or so now.

Hey,
Someone had a similar problem before and I advised them to put some data into the clean SD card (1GB of music for example) and then put Android's files.
It fixed it for me and the other person (we had the same problem).
Try it and good luck.

my suggestion, better not to link all apps with link2sd
go to manage apps, see if there's an app that more than 10mb and check whether that could be move to sd card or not.
sometimes, app that more than 10mb take less space if we move to sdcard natively, but take more internal if we move that using link2sd
hope you get what i mean

Actually, i think i may have solved this. It worked for me when I plugged it into my computer, after I removed the micro SD card from it.
I guess the phone has to be in installer mode when connected to USB, and it seems like removing the micro SD card did that

Backup your files to a pc and format the SDcard (from the phone menu). Solved it for me.
And make sure you properly unmount your card next time, because that's whats causing this. (I learned that the hard way.)
(This is related to but not directly the result of the KitKat permissions. ES works around those, the only thing it can't do is rename.)

I've heard a few others mention that. It's related to KitKat's security permissions. Rooting should fix it.
Interestingly, I have no such issues with ES file Explorer on any of my unrooted 4.4 devices. the only thing it doesn't do is rename. (but neither does it work on stock My Files, nor MTP and Windows Explorer.)

Google has never supported MicroSD's.
It's the other brands that have added it. But with everyone being security morons these days, this is the result. More restrictions to protect people from their own stupidity.
(That money making scheme works a little badly when the Nexus devices, Google's own phones, don't have a MicroSD slot )

LG Leon Rooting
Yes I'm in newbie status....lol
Thanks so much for this thread. I just bought this phone Friday and to my shear horror found out that it only had 8GBs of internal memory. I need to root the phone so I can transfer apps to the SD card. Google has made it where apps go to the internal memory by default. Some can be moved through the app settings, unfortunately, most of them can't. I hope someone makes a Youtube rooting vid soon. I have the MetroPCS version. The phone isn't super magnificent, but hell, for the price (free) I took advantage of the deal. I'm also a little annoyed by the lack of an LED indicator. I just downloaded the NoLED app to take care of that issue. I'm already thinking about upgrading to the LG G Stylo.
Do you have the Tmobile or the Metro PCS version? Do you know if the Tmobile version has a SD card slot? Do you have a picture of the SD card slot? Thanks in advance

HI! I would imagine all LG Leon's are built the same, I have Metro. I can't take a pic, I don't have an extra camera.....take the battery cover off, look over on the right edge of the phone toward the bottom and you will see the slot for the SD card. You don't have to remove the battery. Hope that helps. I caught hell trying to find it also...lol

Hey guys....
I know people are complaining about security issues with Kingroot.....but I'll go ahead and tell you, it worked flawlessly with the LG Leon. I followed a YT tutorial because I saw the Lollipop 5.0.2 version listed. If you aren't afraid of the supposed security issues, give it a try. I can't post the link because I'm a newbie....go to YT and search for "root any android lollipop 5.0.2".
Kingoroot worked for me in android lollipop 5.0.1 .Guys how you have 5.0.2 ? How is that possible? I look over in LG Suite and i have the H340C version ..
LG Leon 4G don't have 5.0.2 update.
It does have 5.0.2.. I have been trying to unlock it and have failed miserably. I have the H345, will try to root and report back in due time.
Just to update: Got the phone today from T-Mobile (Free some $150 rebate ish) and it does have 5.0.2, but seems unlock incapable at the moment due to the sequence not flashing the unlock code screen.
Going to attempt to root in via the LG OneClick method, let's see!
Root working on 5.0.2 via LG OneClick v1.3 GUI (didn't work with 1.2 batch)
I don't know why some versions of LG Leon has 5.0.2 update. i stuck in 5.0.1 on my H340n
Might be because this is the H345 and not 340

I'm already thinking about upgrading to the LG G Stylo.

if you want to move the whole app to sd even data you need to root it and use foldermount ! its very easy btw

I thought link2sd was recommended method for 4. 4 and later and that full amount was considered dead or dangerous?

I bought this LG Leon for $40 at MetroPCS here in Augusta,GA. Its got the 8G internal memory with 4 already used in system. It has microSD slot that is accessible w/o removing battery. Mine came with lollipop 5.0.2. and the camera is pretty lame. My old Optimus F60(LGMS395) had way better camera. I'm running all stock and it's pretty quick considering the 8G memory.
