[Official] 32.1.A.1.163 Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Xperia Z3+ Released! - Xperia Z4/Z3+ General

Just check XperiFirm, 32.1.A.1.163 is released for US and Vietnam, hopefully more regions soon!!

finally! still nothing here in Europe tho

ignore - wrong thread

Nothing in France

Seems to be nothing in Europe yet. This and the rollout to Z5 though however shows that the March 7 date that SonyUK tweeted turned out somewhat correct. Hoping for the update today but if it will not come today it will any day now I guess.

Live and direct here https://xpericheck.com/device/E6553

In the US, but nothing. In fact, still on 28.0.A.266
I go to Software Update and nothing...
---------- Post added at 08:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:45 AM ----------
So as I dig into this more...
Currently on 266, Customization 1294-9984 R5A and going to Software Update shows I'm up to date. But, if I go Settings, Diagnostics, it says "New Software Available" with a ⬇ to the right. I press that and it takes me to the Software Update screen that again says Software Up To Date.
My wife also has a Z3+ but hers is on 272 Customization 1294-9651 R11A
Thoughts, suggestions?

As well as HK, still wating

Just use xperifirm program and download the ROM from another country. I Will use the RU instead BR one. It's valid and legal. Not void you warranty.

Nope. I've usedthe RU instead of the BR for a long time, no problem at all.
The only sugestion here is to do a clean install, since it is a major upgrade.

Check PCC.☺

anything about dual version?
Edit: oh I see it on xperifirm.., I'm working in my ftf cause my CN doesn't have update yet.... is good because I want to do a clean instalation anyways....

Got the update in india. The performance difference is too great. I finally got the smoothness i was craving for. And folks don't check via internal Software update it is not available via OTA as of now check via PC Companion app. It should be released internationally not region by region as far as i know.

Any improvement on battery life and heat issue?
Can't imagine my first summer with this phone

NEW firmware (10.1.1.A.1.319 and 10.3.A.0.407) certified for the Xperia Z

Sony has certified two new firmware's at PTCRB !!!
The first one based on 4.1.2 (i think), it is the 10.1.1.A.1.319 at Jun 4, 2013.
The second one based on 4.2.2 or maybe 4.3 (i think), it is the 10.3.A.0.407 at Jun 4, 2013, too.

Thats crazy, why became the C6606/6616 (the US T-Mobile Version) the newest firmware first. The funny you can buy this version of Xpereia Z only by T-Mobile US.
For two weeks i became the .253 and wait now of the .307, two weeks update is the new way of Sony update policy .

After warranty expired then ill see, anyway really annoying to be stuck on old firmware.

Unlocking bootloaders has nothing to do with Flashtool. But yes, as long as you don't unlock your bootloader you can pretty much do whatever you want.
We're talking about flashing with flashtool, but how many people that own the phone never heard/went on XDA how many of them never heard of flashtool. All of those people rely on their operators to push updates.

the ones that does one way or another find xda, and as the methods to update here are 90% of the time very safe...
Unless your phone from country "x " from provider "1" and you flashed to country "y" provider "n" so to be safe make a backup from your original blobs and take the time and learn how to create your "backup.ftf" ... At some point, could save your phone... Occasionally.

That's right. Before flashing anything to your phone, it's always a good idea to create a backup of the original firmware customization, so that you can easily restore your phone to factory state if required, especially if it's difficult to find an FTF file online with your customization.
Luckily, there is also a way to return to your original customization without FTF file, but it requires a rooted phone with a locked bootloader:
[GUIDE] Download ANY firmware customization with SUS and create an FTF with Flashtool

I'm very happy that Sony is taking software updates seriously for its flagship phone. The more updates, the better the phone can become.

No, your TA will be fine. When I upgraded it force closed the camera twice then after it was fine.
I am having another look at this file, because the FTF creation has changed slightly from the Xperia Z.
It shows an update on Sony Companion but not OTA. I am waiting for OTA coz I don't want to lose my root.

This is my first ever FTF flash on the Z1. It was a telstra branded phone.
I will note that I un-ticked 'data' under the flashtool wipe options on my initial flash of your FTF. I preferred to keep my settings intact, but that wasn't a deal breaker.
No matter what I did (re-flashing, rebooting, changing apps, etc), camera was broken for a couple of hours... I was getting a bit panicky.
I decided to let PC Companion to fix it by clicking 'your device is up to date' and in the pop-up selecting 'repair my phone'. It picked up as a generic 4.3 device, re-downloaded the 14.2 firmware and installed it. Part of that process is a factory wipe. Camera works now and I have firmware from Sony server. It is possible a full wipe would have achieved the same result, but I was looking for the most reliable, first try, answer.
Thanks for the FTF, though. I now have an unbranded 4.3 Z1.
flash rom
I have a Telstra branded Z1, so if I flash generic stock Australian rom and change the software id to match will I still receive OTA updates like it was from the factory. Phone details are : model number: c6903 build number 14.1.g.2.259 software id : 1277-2878 r3a . thanks in advance
When I flash UK-Vodafone firmware SuperiorAuto can capture 20MP but in Europe firmware can 8.3MP in SuperiorAuto mod,why is there difference?

mmm I think I may give it another 2 weeks and see if our slack network provider pushes the update. They're generally about 3 weeks behind the world. If nothing, then I may just give this a crack.
The question is, can I hold out for 2 weeks??
I see some FTF's have 20mp auto with the camera. Is this 20 or the normal 8mp?

You can't update through OTA anyway if you're already on a rooted phone. I'm also on NUT's rooted firmware and received the OTA notification and the update won't work due to root or custom recovery.
So what if I want to update?? Can I? (rooted xperia z1...)
Have also just got the update through, it's a very small update, kind of reluctant to update, but it's so small I can't see it removing root either way.
I'm in the UK and am on EE. Running Monx's rom 6.0.3
Tried it, wouldn't install, cannot verify.
Need to get rid of this bloody notification now.

You won't lose after OTA
Just to share - I came from NUT's 757 rom updated via OTA to 761 and I did not lose root. :good: Hope this helps.
PS. I didn't notice any difference maybe will check it out for a few more days

Good update, this fixed the battery drain issue that I had with the previous firmware
If you are rooted using NUT's package then you can update following this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53037526&postcount=114
Just clear the icon, it's not going to be installable if youre on a custom rom, so monx = no, i'm guessing most of the other rom's will be the same too.
Just go to settings / apps / all / update service and update centre and stop notifications.
Gets rid of it but obviously the update is still there.

Greg kind of answered for me. As youre on a stock rom, it hasn't come through yet, i'm running Monx so it has.

did you convert SuperSu in a system app (with the special function of SuperSu app) before the OTA firmware update?
First we get told that this is an operator specific update for France and China, then there's a certified update ending with 769, and now we get this 761 update worldwide.
What's going on?

Why did you left root on? You know, for sure, that yuou have to unroot first before updating.

arrrgh. laziness.
I am sideloading the original FW ver. 2.19.40.18 (1.15GB) now. So now it is unrooted. Then update to .20 then to .22, then root again. What a waste of time. Should have unrooted first. haha.

Yup. Something like that.
In order to fix mine and bring back alive.
1. Download the latest FW for the ZE551 from the Zenfone 2 support page of Asus India.
2. Install TWRP
3. Format /system and /data via TWRP
4. Flash the latest firmware .20 downloaded above.
Back in business. Bootloader still unlocked. I will try to update to .22 later. Hope everything goes well or else back to square one.
I found the update summary on asus Chinese site. Translating it into English:

2. Improve India's 3G signal data Capability
3. Fix Thailand Provider True SIM1 not able to make call

Yeah, and now everyone will have to in the future. When it comes to California, any such law they pass ends up standard...irritating.
