About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Frequently asked questions:
How can I get Viper4Android working?
Check this thread out https://plus.google.com/+JasonPasch5/posts/6JDRjdL2mKM
Are you coming from a ROM with Layers?
Make sure you remove your 'overlay' folders and perform a FULL WIPE
My battery stats are all messed and reporting the wrong percentage, what can I do?
Stop using another kernel. Do a FULL WIPE and flash the ROM again
Is this ROM CM based or AOSP based?
This ROM is based off AOSP
Does this ROM have layers or the CMTE?
This ROM uses the CM theme engine
Pulse doesn't work with [insert music app]
Check this thread out https://plus.google.com/101146731143183859725/posts/TcSzc61xuVx
I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Aha!!! Most awaited ROM of the year.

Excellent work, Shahan_mik3 - DU Marshmallow!:good:
Clean flashed last night (on "standard" extended partition) - installation went well.
Running fine for me right now (stock kernel, no xposed, NFC, GPS, WiFi)
A lot of *alarm* and *launch* wakelocks, but the wakelock blocker sorts that out without affecting stability.
It took a few iterations to get Tasker and Autoinput (a Tasker add-on) to stick as "on" in the Accessibility settings, but seems to be OK now.
Using the Ad Blocker in Settings/Dirty Tweaks - Adaway doesn't update the hostfile.
Omniswitch for recents is running really smoothly - in other ROMs, sometimes the order of recents refreshes after a second, here it displays immediately.
From what I can see, all the system settings and Dirty Tweaks run fine (I don't use pattern/password lock)
Actually, over the last couple of weeks I have got really attached to your Candy AOSP with Layers... but DU has been a constant over the last couple of years on different phones, really happy to see you're maintaining it.

Nice review dude. But could you tell me more about battery. I know you are shortly on this ROM but you can tell me in a few days how is SOT and overall battery life of this rom. I guess you are using stock kernel without any changes or using Kernel adiutor. And one last thing, I was testing several ROMs and Ive faced one issue, it was Mobile Network settings FC. Is it working here? Please some screenshoots if possible. Thank you and have a nice day.
FYI: This is the most awaited ROM for me also... Will it be official in a time?

Mobile Network settings OK for me.
Yep, too early to draw conclusions about battery since it's been off charge just 2 hours. First, it charges fast, no problem there.
In the screenshot, the first hour I was using the phone over breakfast. After that, mostly screen off - the battery line is totally horizontal.
In terms of background data, I have 2x IMAP push emails and a busy Exchange email account. Everyone's use profile is different, but I have not seen the charge line horizontal with other ROMs.
Early days, yes, but it's a very good sign
Some screenshots showing settings and customisation options - the ROM comes with the standard dark theme, this is Lobit's CM13 theme

Damn, DU! Back at it again with the white fans.

Amazing. Im usually lazy to flash new ROMs but this one looks awesome. Thank you for info. It looks pretty stable already.

Please add SnapdragonCamera to make it perfect!!

Just following up on my previous comments, a couple of minor questions after a few hours more use -
In Settings\Accessibility, the app accessibility settings are switching from on to off, I can't work out why. It has affected Tasker, and Autoinput several times, and Greenify once. This has the side-effect of Tasker not being able to run...
@Shahan_mik3, any thoughts on what could be behind this? Not much on Google about this topic...
The adaptive brightness seems not to be working. If it is deselected in Setting/Display the screen goes very dark, but when selected, it does not vary with different light levels.
Brightness also seems low generally, considering where the indicator is on the brightness bar: Normally I would have it half-way along the bar, I have to position it almost at the max.

Can I flash it on MiUi MM merged partition ? Or I have to go back to Kitkat partition and then extend it ?

MIUI MM. I believe Shahan has this partition for all the ROMs he builds.

If you have TWRP recovery installed, then reboot to recovery mode. Then goto
1. Advanced
2. File manager
3. Follow the path
Code:
/data/system/
4. Delete the "theme" folder
5. Reboot your device.
If it's not working then again goto recovery and repeat the process 1 and 2.
Next follow the path
Code:
/data/app/
4. Delete the corresponding theme folder. Check play store link of that theme to find the developer or package name for the specific theme pack.
5. Reboot your device.

CHANGELOG
v1.6
Built from source - 10/7/2012 - 00:27:58

Merged latest CM changes, including a lot of fixes and improvements for device tree
Improvements on frameworks, fixed for once and finally all DPI related crashes
SystemUI mode can be configured now
Cleanup and speedup of hybrid code via native libs (I'd say 25%)
A lot more of changes, you can check them here: https://github.com/ParanoidAndroid

Hybrid speedup, less lag, considerably faster list scrolling when pad/pal is in action
Keyboard scaling, an androids first
PAD/PAL bugfixes for apps that still crop images in lower dpis
Settings revamp, speed preferences to switch between modes without having to set up anything, less clutter
Trebuchet extras: 3x4 widgets, speed dial menu button, ... and some weird rocket button which im sure will be very useful to most of you
Pad.prop revamp, new preferences that should pretty much nail it. Im sorry but this trashes your old settings again, do not attempt to restore them unless you do it in a text editor
Newest Devil Kernel added

PAD/PAL work in phonemode 100%, no weird toggles and stuff like that. you get full tablet apps without caveats

Trashed our LatinIME repo - not needed anymore
Fixed OTA 100%, now it should never hang on 99%

Error where app shows up in the wrong UI will be fixed
Scaling lockscreen dialogs and so on

Removed "Global density", if you STILL want to mess with this one with v1.2, you've not even tested a 50% of what this ROM can do.
Fixed a lot of other things on pad & pal, cleaned up sources
Fixed themes crash on tab mode, still crashes sometimes on phone mode. [Seems this one is totally fixed now. Need to test a bit more]

To be fair on madflap, it was the other user who passed bad remarks first for which madflap responded. It did escalate in a bitter manner from there which I dont agree with but still the first stone was thrown by the other user.

Bro, honestly if that shouldn't be the reason why you don't try out this awesome rom. The devs did an amazing job with the coding, and the Per App Layout is unreal. You would not be showing support for me or for Madflapjack, you would be showing support for the great guys that made it
this rom is amazing, smooth as hell.
there is one thing i am wondering though. is there anyway to make wallpapers portrait instead of landscape?
thank to all of you, now im tryng to fix camera thats giving me a rare bug, but im working with saranhai to get it working.
This ROM is beyond awesome, period. Thanks again mad flap for bring it to the captivate. I'm having some troubles making some apps run the way I like it but it's because I'm not familiar with pad and pal. I'm on devils kernel and everything is working right. Even the theme I was using on CM 9. Well, the phone is a nexus s according to xda app, but who can blame it? It is a tablet too sometimes
I'm happy and cured from my flashing nightlies addiction.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
ROM is working awesome, only issue so far is camera, which you're aware of. You forgot to edit the build.prop I did it for myself though. Also a bunch of NFC stuff still in ROM as well as the lights.aries.so not there instead the one from the Nexus is there, also can you remove the videos folder in system/media would reduce the file size

[size=+1]3.2 How to install this ROM?[/size]
Google knows why they updated bootloader and radio e.g. better reception on radio. Even though you're free to use other combinations to keep LTE for instance.Best place to search for is here:
[REF] [RADIO] Mako modem collection
3. then choose between a) or b)
a) If you're coming from a different rom (even stock):
- FACTORY RESET
- INSTALL ROM and PA GAPPS
- WIPE CACHE & DALVIK CACHE
- REBOOT
b) If you're already using PA and want to update:
- INSTALL ROM and PA GAPPS
- WIPE CACHE & DALVIK CACHE

[size=+1]3.4 How to set up PA ROM to my liking?[/size]
PA Team made up a really good guide explaining everything you can customize on PA ROM. Its called changelog. If it isn't it it its not in the rom!

[size=+1]3.5 What’s the best kernel for this rom?[/size]
In moles's words: "the best kernel is probably the one that ships with the rom."
But in general it’s totally up to you which kernel you prefer and want to use. Make sure you read the corresponding kernel threads and don’t listen to „…this kernel is the best, for sure!“. Maybe try them all and see which one fits to your needs.
[size=+1]3.6 Which kernel is included into this rom? / Why the colors looks different than they used to?[/size]
Starting with PA 3.92 4.3 JSS15J of 3rd of August we are back on calibrated halfbreed kernel again (pa_mako-Kernel-4.3_JSS15J_HALFBREED.zip).
Use the following one if you want Googles colors on PA: pa_mako-Kernel-4.3_JSS15J_GOOGLESTOCK.zip
Use the following one if you use any STOCK 4.3 JWR66V ROM: pa_mako-Kernel-4.3_JWR66V_HALFBREED.zip
before:
[size=-2]posted on G+ 18.05.2013[/size]+Francisco Franco will make dedicated kernels for this project. Think of it as a friendship or an endorsement on both sides. We will not add kernel tweaking to the rom but his custom made PA kernel will expose all needed interfaces if you want to go into that. If not you can expect a faster experience, usually better battery life, all the things people love about his kernels. This should theoretically happen for all Nexus platforms which is great.

[size=+1]3.7 What’s the difference between the kernels uploaded?[/size]
They have a different color calibration (halfbreed and Google). Besides they are stock kernels made by Google. For more information in terms of gamma settings n stuff, visit the linked thread to Let's calibrate Mako…
[size=+1]3.8 I flashed a custom kernel and now I'm experiencing graphical issues?[/size]
[Size=+1]Make sure the kernel u're using is made for JSS15J builds if you're using PA! Check the OP of related kernel threads[/size]
For more information on different kernel builds check:

[size=+1]3.9 How to enable PIE?[/size]
a) power menu, then choose Full Screen (PIE)
or:
b) open quick settings and press the PIE tile
To customize PIE in matters of gravity, style, size etc. go to settings-->toolbars into section PIE CONTROLS.
[size=+1]3.10 Is it possible to use PIE with status/notification bar?[/size]
1. disable fullscreen mode (PIE) using tile or power menu
2. SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->INTERFACE and set the navbar to 0%
Note: You will only have the bare PIE as a navigation replacement without any further information and actions due to the fact these things can be found in the status bar.
[size=+1]3.11 How can I disable PIE and NAVIGATION BAR in case I want to use a different navigation replacement?[/size]
1. SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->INTERFACE and set the navbar to 0%
2. SETTINGS-->TOOLBARS-->TRIGGER AREA and set it to 'none'
Now you have no navigation buttons either on expanded (without status bar) or non expanded desktop (with status bar)
[size=+1]3.12 How can I change the colors of PIE?[/size]
PIE is using the colors you define for navbar, navbuttons, status icons etc.
You can change colors for almost all apps in a stroke:
1. SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->INTERFACE-->GLOBAL COLORS
or
you can change colors individually app per app:
2.a) SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->APPS
2.b) using the quicksettings tile HYBRID PORPERTIES within the app you want to change-->Swipe to colors.
PER APP COLORS overwrite GLOBAL COLORS for the apps you changed individually. Unchanged apps will take the GLOBAL COLORS.
[Size=+1]NOTE regarding 'enable per app color':[/size]
DISABLE it means you fall back to the default colors given by PA Team. You can't change any color!
ENABLE it means you can define GLOBAL COLORS or individual colors on per app basis.
So most likely you have to enable it!
[Size=+1]NOTE regarding 'small style changes to PIE‘ since build of May26th:[/size]
Status icon color is linked to the navbar color for PIE from now on! There’s no chance to change navbar color for PIE individually.
[size=+1]3.13 How can I set the navigation bar and/or status bar transparent?[/size]
For STATUS BAR use the quick settings tile HYBRID PROPERTIES within the app, go to colors and use the alpha slider within status bar color
For NAVIGATION BAR it is only possible for your launcher due to the fact your launcher is the only app that can draw underneath. Use instructions above.
HEX CODES FOR TRANSPARENCY
#00000000 - 100% transparency with black
#3F000000 - 75% transparency with black
#7F000000 - 50% transparency with black
#BF000000 - 25% transparency with black
Note: IMO statusbar transparency only makes sense for your launcher. A full transparent statusbar within an app means you getting the background color of it (at its best). This might work with PIE and STATUSBAR but in any other mode or UI it looks weird if you ask me. In fact some apps like maps even going crazy!
[size=+1]3.14 When PIE is activated the bottom part of the screen becomes unresponsive. How to fix this?[/size]
SETTINGS->TOOLS->reduce PIE trigger area
[size=+1]3.15 How to enable HALO? I can't see HALO anywhere on my screen.[/size]
1. Change your Interface layout to PhoneUI or PhabletUI and disable full screen
2. Press the blue circle in notification bar.
3. You can 'hide HALO after activity'. If ticked HALO will show up on an incoming notification and hides after a few seconds. Find that option in SETTINGS-->TOOLBARS in section STATUS BAR.
4. If it just disappears out of nowhere the following post might help you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41650766&postcount=26070
[size=+1]3.16 How to disable HALO?[/size]
by default with checked 'reverse HALO' in SETTINGS-->TOOLBARS:
double tap the bubble, hold and drag it to the 'X' on top of screen
or
with unchecked 'reverse HALO' in SETTINGS-->TOOLBARS:
tap, hold and drag it to the 'X' on top of screen
[size=+1]3.17 Why HALO does not react for this and that situation?[/size]
[size=-2]posted on G+ 05.05.2013[/size]
It simply reacts to the regular ticker, the one you know from the statusbar. ticker has its own rules implemented by google as to not tax the user too much. HALO reacts every time androids generates a genuine tick.
if it doesn't respond at all, not even to your touch you have some crazy hacky stuff installed. get rid of that!!! TOUCH CONTROL, kernels that mess with responsiveness and overlays, etc.
Click to collapse
[size=+1]3.18 How do I prevent getting notfications on HALO/How to create a blacklist?[/size]
SETTINGS-->APPS-->[app name]-->check 'blacklist from HALO'
Note 1: blacklisted apps do not pinging HALO. Though the notification will still appear in the bubble scrolling through notifications.
Note 2: blacklisting persistent notifications has no effect on HALO. You have to uncheck 'show notifications' in settings-->apps-->[app name]
[size=+1]3.19 How can I create a whitelist for HALO?[/size]
SETTINS-->TOOLBARS-->HALO POLICY and tick 'whitelist'
To add apps to your whitelist just do the same steps as you would do for blacklisting apps.
Note: Think it's quite clear but I will mention it anyway. If you choose whitelist all notifications are disabled by default but the ones you checked for whitelist.
[size=+1]3.20 How do I clear a recieved notification from HALO?[/size]
Simply tap the bubble and swipe up.
[size=+1]3.21 Is it possible to theme HALO?[/size]
Not included in PA ROM right now. But there are threds on XDA on how to theme HALO.
[size=+1]3.22 How can I add Facebook Messenger to HALO)))?[/size]
Google messenger (G+) and Facebook messenger (FB) sharing the same name when adding apps to HALO))). You can add only one at a time: By default it is G+
-->freeze G+, add FB to HALO))) and unfreeze G+
[size=+1]3.23 Why I'm not able to install any .apk from sdcard?[/size]
The install button-gate. Google disables that button as a security measure to prevent apps from installing stuff via overlay/virtual click. without it apps could install trojans without your interaction. HALO is an overlay. no way we could have seen that - although im not sure if switching it off is the right thing.

[size=+1]3.24 How can I turn on wireless display on PA?[/size]
change the layout of 'settings' to the default of 360p. Press apply and you should see the activation switch.
[size=+1]3.25 How can I switch users when I have enabled multiple users?[/size]
1. enable lockscreen rotation in SETTINGS-->LOCKSCREEN-->check 'allow rotation'
2. turn display off and on
3. turn device to landscape mode and choose the user you want
[size=+1]3.26 Where is the Theme Chooser?[/size]
It's gone for now and maby will never come back, since the dev wanted 'to get rid of theming engine sooner or later. [..and] would have not merged it in klp - its out now because it messed up googles 4.3 code so badly'
Alternatively you can use Xposed Framework which has a plugin for cm's theme chooser. Search on XDA
[size=+1]3.27 Do I have to flash SuperSu or Superuser to get or keep root permissions?[/size]
For most apps, no. For others, yes.
For example if you're using a custom kernel and it's related tweaking app you have to flash SuperSu (recommended over Superuser by most of the devs from kernel threads) to keep root permissions.
Flashing SuperSu on top will become obsolete in the future when code is cleared entirely.
Link to SuperSU by Chainfire: http://download.chainfire.eu/345/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip
steps:
flash PA ROM
flash SuperSU
flash PA Gapps
wipe cache and dalvik
reboot
[size=+1]3.28 Touchboost and UNITY 3D what does that mean?[/size]
Touchboost = A raise in processor frequency upon touch event
Unity 3D = game engine
[size=+1]3.29 How can I disable dual panel mode for settings app?[/size]
SETTINGS --> HYBRID PROPERTIES --> APPS --> choose SETTINGS app and change layout to 360p (phone UI) on the first page. The default size for phone UI is 320dpi if you want it all stock like.
You can do all that even faster if use the QUICK TOGGLE for HYBRID PROPERTIES within the settings app.

:good: It would probably be best to post them here or PM them to me so I can add them to the first post. Your answers are the only ones now, but I've got a few in my head too, but I'm on my phone ATM so I'll update when I come home...
Okay I will post them here
Will mole looking into this thread too?
Because there are sometimes questions that aren´t develpment related but can only be answered by a dev

That feature isn't available yet.
I've read this, still confused. Where exactly do we theme the pie?
I can't find the "app" for the pie in the list...
edit, realized that it takes the colors from the nav bar for each specific app.
Thanks mate

Re: ParanoidAndroid Help Thread and FAQ
I've asked this over in the PA thread to no avail. So hopefully someone here can help me out. I'm a user that loves themes. Unfortunately pa doesn't pay well with them, it doesn't allow contacts, messaging, or the keyboard to be themed through the chooser. Anyone have a flashable zip that has the themeable versions of these? I would really appreciate it.

Re: ParanoidAndroid Help Thread and FAQ
Hi,
I've been using PA for many weeks now and I think it's the best ROM for the N4.
I got a question about the quick toggles.I know that you can't access them the usual way in expanded desktop but nova gestures also don't work. Is there any way to access them?
Audio I can't get the per app color for pie to work. It works fine when I use the navigation bar, but when I switch to pie it doesn't change.
Thanks

AW: ParanoidAndroid Help Thread and FAQ
Hi! I have two huge problems. I'm on latest pa with stock kernel and multi touch isn't working for most of the time. Second problem is that the navigation bar buttons nearly don't work: I see the animation for pressing the buttons but nothing happens. Sometimes I have to tap long and sometimes I have to tap rapidly again and then it suddenly works. I'm on stock view.

Nope, sorry. I think this has something to do with PA being AOSP. Either that or the gapps package. Can't remember which was the cause.

Multi touch works fine for me. Nav bar buttons work fine too. Try a different rom and see if your touch screen works properly?

i wiped all, including the rom, and flashed again. now it works all fine.
only issue that occur to me right now is that the storage is displayed two times in windows explorer when it is connected to my win7x64pro
Im running the latest version and things are going well for the most part.
However, when the keyboard is open and the screen locks, the keyboard will stay open on the lock screen so I cannot unlock the phone. Only the menu button from PIE unlocks the phone. Is this a bug? shouldnt the keyboard always be minimized on the lockscreen?

Are you sure you are running the latest build? I had this in the 18 JAN build, but it's been fixed in the 21 JAN build. Try to wipe cache and dalvik cache if you are running the 21 JAN build.

Latest build with Bidji kernel working very well, I don't know if it fixed the rotation cause I never had that problem in the first place (sorry? :/ ) I'm very impressed at how stable your stuff is jeje, by far the best out there! Not that there are that many alternatives anymore I'm sorry to say. Any clue on if/how things are gonna be working out concerning Marshmallow?
Enjoy your day
Hi
Tuning in real quick to report that my device doesn't always recognize my sim card anymore, sometimes when I reboot I get signal again but more and more often over the past week or two it's been saying that there's no sim in there at all. I suspect a hardware issue but perhaps you recognize this problem? Otherwise I'll contact Oppo. Thanks for your help

Not sure it's your device as all recent find5 builds (at least the 3 i'm building for, DU, crDroid and Slim) are having random issues with sim card recognition at boot.
It has been for longtime, DU and Slim were the most affected builds, i implemented a test change in those builds, issue is still happening but less frequently. I can implement it in crdroid too, just tell me.
When happening you can also flash this fix zip in recovery, generally after reboot your sim card is again available. Keep it in your device, it will be helpful
Cheers & Nice evening!
PS: by the way, sending it back to Oppo is not a bad idea, when i got issues with my first find5 (usb problems), i sent them the device and received a find7s back....just had to buy another find5 back to keep on supporting our poor device
Slightly offtopic but since jejecule started it I might just give my two cents concerning Oppo warrenty. 3 months ago my headphone jack failed a week or so before the warrenty ran out. Oppo is very helpful and immediately offered a warranty replacement, but they told me I had to choose a find 7 or 7a and specify a color and pay an extra €100 for Find 7a and €130 for 7 oh so, pretty reasonable. I did choose which one I preferred and was promised I would be given instructions how to pay when they recieved my defect device. I sent my device which was confirmed recieved 2 day later. 1 day later I recieved a brand new Find 5. A bit wierd after all but I was more than happy. All in all it took 1 week from first email contact to a new device! (And this was the second replacement!) Very different from experiences with HTC, Samsung, Sony etc.
Verstuurd vanaf mijn Find 5 met Tapatalk
The Bidji kernel did not fix the autorotation problem for me.
@ fancyclouds : the radio_fix provided by jejecule fix the no sim card problem for me, I have to flash it after every new rom.

The fix works! No need to implement it for me. Thanks though!
ps: Shot an email to Support about a few hardware issues I was already having and they offered me a choice between 99eur for a 7a and 199eur for the 7. Seems like a great offer but which one would you recommend if I'm looking for rom/kernel/xda support? Or do they just support the same soms? Since on the oppoforums 3rd party development forums they aren't even in separate forums. Sorry for the offtopic stuff, hope you don't mind.

I build exactly the same crDroid for find7, compatible with all variants, + unified storage. don't worry about roms
Find7s has a better screen, more storage but for the rest devices are the same. Up to you to decide if 100 euro difference is justified.
Cheers

About Project:
Citrus-CAF, unlike the name suggests, was initially based off CyanogenMod, in the early days of Marshmallow, we even had another name at that point. Later, taking into consideration feedbacks of the very first slew of testers and carefully studying the needs and demands of our users, we rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. Time went by and Nougat released, and we decided that it was time, Citrus-CAF had to see the daylight. We rebased everything to the brank spanking Nougat released. Later we realized the true potential of CAF tags, how each of them altered the device performance on different SOCs. After a lot of thinking, we decided to keep different sources for difference SOCs in our git and hours of debugging later, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was the first device to get a taste of our Tangy Nougat. In the beginning, it was just two people behind , but in time, a lot of people joined us, as each giving their own contibutions.
Citrus-CAF was built to create an amazing combination of customization, performance and most of the demanded features by our users, whereas we've Cardinal, to deliver minimal customizations, but the greatest stability!
Meanwhile, all of our Tangy sources are publicly available on our Github. We also do own a Google+ Community, where you can.... uhm... you know, do what all others do at forums and communities! (Just kidding, we got builds over there and a feature-wish bucket too ) Hope you enjoy your stay and taste the Tanginess of our work!
Out of lemon, with love!
NOTE: There's nothing like, "we've decided to keep the customizations minimum, so as to provide stock AOSP experience, but with necessary features", cause this isn't Cardinal. This is Citrus

Hey guys, here a very fire feedback before I fall asleep. The first impression is more than amazing. No problems occurred, everything is working fine. Initially I have flashed Magisk 13.3 and microG instead gapps. In order to perform signature spoofing, further I have flashed the NanoMod Patcher. And Magisk is working fine including SafetyNet and the MicroG as well. I am so ?. Tomorrow I will flash ARISE Magnum Opus and restore my apps. It's like Xmas for me (in July . Done an excellent job @travarilo

Have you installed something special? On my device after the 1st reboot the developer options were present automatically, but later they simply disappeared and I can't active them from About Phone as well.

Hey Buddy,
I installed this ROM too and honestly, It is super amazing.
Was not sure initially since it was the first build. But I trusted your name and went for it.
But yes, I cannot see the Developer options too. @ydd0ras
Tapping build number countless times does nothing. I do not miss those settings though.
Maybe next build we'll see the fix.
Not sure how it is visible on your end?
BTW I LOUVE your theme and Font.
Theme I know, it is Mono-Art by Dejan Baric. I am using Belo currently.
I wish to know which font are you using? It looks slick.

It can be, because I am using SuperSU instead of magisk..
Now I have tested the ROM nearly 24h, and I must say I am amazed. Everything except the developer options is working flawlessly. From Arise until Yalp Store. All my favourite sound mods, Magisk and the no-gapps solution are doing a pretty good job. Thumbs up. @travarilo believe me I don't want to bother you, but the same one on my OPO...a dream? Until then will primarily use my cancro.

Happens occasionally on any ROM if the system fails to enter doze mode due to a rogue app/android process continuously utilizing system resources. A simple reboot would often fix the issue. If it happens regularly, you should consider taking a betterbatterystats log and investigating further. There is a whole forum on XDA dedicated to minimizing idle battery loss.
Everything's fine here, no drops, but very good battery life.

First huge thanks for @33bca for helping me with building Paranoid Android for Mi5s Plus
We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock
This feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI incase of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors.
Accidental Touch
Accidental Touch is a feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behaviour while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Pocket lock
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Accidental touch
- Three finger swipe Screenshot
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements

- More to explore

Install instructions
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit.
We recommend a full wipe.
Flashing order:
1. Back up to PC everything you would need (whole of Internal Storage including and not limited to
Titanium Backup folder, Music, Pictures, etc)
2. Flash TWRP
3. Format all partitions except the "internal" partition**
4. Flash Firmware zip
5. Flash AOSPA zip
6. Flash Gapps zip
7. Flash Magisk or SuperSu (optional)**
8. Reboot System
** SuperSu 2.79 and earlier is confirmed to fail. 2.82 is tested and confirmed to be working.
First boot time would be about 3-4 minutes on an average.
In case you are encrypted, read on:
9. If you were already encrypted, it asks for a password (pattern or pin), provide and if it goes
through, great and go back to Step 5
10. If you’re stuck, ONLY then read on…
a. If in case TWRP doesn’t accept your password and says ‘Can’t Mount Storage’, you will
have to use FASTBOOT from a PC to go further from here.
b. Assuming you have FASTBOOT working and it recognizes your device, the following need
to be done:
1. fastboot format userdata
2. fastboot format cache
3. fastboot format system
4. fastboot erase boot
5. fastboot reboot
7. Reboot phone into Recovery
8. In TWRP, Wipe – Format Data.
9. Install from Step 5 onwards.

Thanks!!!!, I'll give it a candle.
Could you help to upload the rom to AndroidFileHost.? Cause it's really hard for me to download from Google Drive.
Could you please port this to mi5s. We really want to try AOSPA. Thaaaanks!
Nice rom, thanks for it. But is it possible to bring in this rom some features like changing power of light to navigation hardware buttons and one-hand mode? This very useful features are in Lineage OS.
I would really love to try it. Is there anyone who installed it and can help us with some screenshots or even better a screenrecord? Thanks!
What's the difference between CAF and LineageOS? I'm talking about the core system, not the UI and other added tweaks.
