[EXYNOS] Fast Charge Question - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hey,
I'll get the exynos Version of the S7 Edge and now i don't know wich charger should I buy?
Should I take a Quickcharge 3.0 charger? or will it damage the Batterie, because the S7 / S7E only supports QC 2.0 if i remember correctly?
thanks

It wont matter if its the 3.0 it wont stuff the phone, the phone will just limit the amount of charging power

QC 3.0 charger will not damage S7, even though S7 only can utilize QC 2.0 standard.

You guys excited? I cannot wait for my s7 edge i got mine in black onyx although im in australia the guys in usa getting it early make me jealous

USB 3.0 "Quick Charge 3.0"

Hi, for those who own an Galaxy Note 3 (with a Snapdragon 800), does it have the Quick Charge feature that the LG G2 has?
And if it does, how fast does it charge? A guy at a retailer says the LG G2 can charge from 0% to full in 30minutes.
(I'm only comparing this to the LG G2 is because both of them have a snapdragon 800 which supports it)
EDIT; I mean to say Quick Charge 2.0, not 3.0
I think that's a miss quote on the LG tech... its zero to 80% in 30 mins.
Thats still good, but yeah unless im doing it wrong the note3 doesnt have that.

i could be wrong:
http://mobilesyrup.com/2013/09/05/t...ting-smartphone-released-this-year-heres-why/
it says that :
Perhaps even more exciting is, combined with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0, the Galaxy Note 3′s 3200mAh battery will charge much, much faster. USB 3.0 alone improves charging speeds from 500mA of current to 900mA, which is closer to an AC adapter than a USB port. The Note 3 also sports a 1.5A mode, too, which promises to bring charging time to under two hours.
The charger that it comes with is 2.0 A

Samsung S7/S7 edge don't feature Quick Charge 3.0

Sadly, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are only outfitted with quick charge 2.0(Check Qualcomm news:https://www.qualcomm.com/news/snapd...-galaxy-s7-and-s7-edge-powered-snapdragon-820) Will samsung release the firmware to change the quick charge 2.0 to the 3.0 in future? Just like the HTC One A9.
Doesn't make sense that they would have a Chip that supports 3.0 and would limit it to 2.0 speeds...
S7 charges in 90mins, S7 Edge charges in 100mins.
Either way, I am not worried. 90 mins charge 3000mAh is pretty good.

super charger?

hey guys, there is a new rumor actually a photo that says that there is a new "super charger" that will charge your phone from 0-100% in less than 20 minutes....don't know if it's just a troll or true....what you think?
We'll find out tomorrow.
Seems like a no for that rumor, currently oppo has the best charger with its vooc thingamajiggy. Does 20watts and i think the battery is split into 4 sections so each section is charged at 5watts and at much lower temperatures.
Do we know yet which fast charging technology the S8 supports? Quick Charge 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, or USB Type C Power Delivery? Something else?

it seems it uses the same charger as the S7...so quick charge 2.0...i am not mad...but they could of used 3.0....i am sure SD835 can get 4.0 but the EXYNOS can't....it's samsung fault
Qc3 isn't any quicker, still stuck at 18watts. They compared an s7 to a phone with quickcharge 3 and the s7 still charged faster.
is the fast charging between the S6 and S7 any different?

freaking samsung better not remove qc4.0 like they removed qc3.0 from note7 .

Gotta believe they would've made a big deal of it at the press conference if it indeed had this. Perhaps the Note 7 debacle has made them extra cautious with anything battery-related.

I would imagine if the Exynos SoC can't rival QC4.0 on the Snapdragon then they will ensure the same experience for customers in all regions by limiting the Snapdragon charging speeds to meet Exynos, otherwise people will seek out the Snapdragon versions specifically.
I'm interested to know though as I have a USB charging hub at home with a QC2.0 port, might consider an upgrade to 3.0 if it's supported
yeah, they will keep QC 2.0 for both....
If Samsung is so worried about keeping playing field even amongst variants why don't we (U.S.) get 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage as reported for Chinese unit.

galaxy S7 wireless fast charger

Good day.
I am about to change from a galaxy S7 to an S8. :highfive:
My question here is, does the galaxy S7 wireless fast charger will charge my S8 at full speed?
I read that S8 has Adaptive Fast Charging and i don't know if Galaxy S7 wireless charger suports that.
BTW, does S8 Exynos version of the phone support Quallcom Fast Charge 4?
Thank you.
Yes it'll work, it only supports qc 2.0.

Increase Charging Speeds to 25watts?

Hello Guys,
As we all know that Samsung was considering to increase the charging speeds of s10 models then it means there is no hardware limitations and it can be unlocked from a software update!
Till now only A80 and S10 5g model has got the 25watts charging speed. Hence, I am curious to know if any developer in @xda can do this for other s10 models?
Everybody show your interest below so that we can get some attention from the developers at XDA or Samsung to bring this update for our device's.

***meantime Samsung tested 25W on S10/e/+ and accidentially blow up couple devices and reverted idea pull 25W charging to S10... maybe its true and maybe not*** it's my imagination why they reverted idea 25W for S10
custom adjusting device power charging from wall charger is bad idea in my opinion
edit: this is not a fact, it's my "imagination" that's not happened

Yes I agree tweaking this stuff can burn our device's but I haven't heard that they have tried 25 watts on the s10 models except 5g variant.
Do you have any article to support this fact of burning.

I don't think they were claiming there is an article I believe they were just hypothesizing
