SIM card not detected on CM13 based ROMs - X Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, my Moto X Play is the XT1562, single SIM UK version and I'm running stock debloated ROM (see signature), I've tried running CM13 based ROMs and even OrionOS, which seems to be AOSP based, but the SIM is not detected on any of these ROMs, tried Pac-Rom based on 5.1.1 and on this one, everything works fine.
Is there any fix for single SIM Moto X Play? I've see other people with the same issue, but I haven't found a solution, please let me know if there is any.
Thanks =D

Take a look to this.

A5_UL Eu single sim (and any compatible variants) Working ROM thread

Hi all.
I'm using CM12.1 5.1.1 from 20150429. Grarak unofficial ROM.
Any Cm12.1 based ROM newer than this has bugs making my phone unusable.
-long time detecting sim card, and long time getting a cellular connection once sim detected
-SMS not sending or receiving
-no calls incoming
Which basically make it a mini tablet ...
So far I've tried a pacman 5.0.3 ROM but found it sluggish.
Does anyone with this same model of phone have a workaround or a suggestion of a stable working 5.1 ROM?
Has anyone tried updating RUU with either success or failures to report?
I'm at a loss here and its a shame, this phone is good value for money and was working well up to this last cm12.1 build.
I really don't want to go back to 5.0, and I'm not sure any sense/stock ROM is better? Can you share positive experience on this matter?
Thanks to all devs who give their time to allow us to use and own our phones. I am grateful and in no way taking any of this for granted.
Without you we'd all have locked phones and no freedom.
And peace to all, above and beyond ALL the rest!
Stock with xposed & some mods like Nitro X spark works fine for me, as there is no good ROM for our phone .. the bugs makes the phone unusable with custom roms :/
And you don't have issues with disk space etc? Stock 5.0, 5.1 or 4.4 ?

dual sim bug and bluetooth

Hello,
I have a couple of problems with my Samsung Galaxy S III Duos (I9300). CM 12, CM 12.1.
1. I cannot switch to use Internet from another sim card. It always uses just one of them. I tried swapping cards, It just chooses one of them, not always sim in slot 1.
2. Problem with Bluetooth in car (BMW, CCC). When I call (incoming/outgoing call) from one sim card everything is fine. When I call from another sim, car answers the phone and shows duration of a call, but no sound.
U are using latest build?

I noticed these bugs when I was on CM12 or CM11 (not sure which one, November 2015 release, Android 5.0.1 if I'm not mistaken), flashed back to stock 4.4.4, both bugs disappeared, so I guess it was not a hardware problem. Then I tried CM 12.1 20151225 release, both bugs were still in the ROM, so I flashed 4.4.4 again.
Can anyone confirm if they have the same bugs or if they are known at all.
Thanks.

As I already wrote I did flash CM12.1 dated 25.12.2015 from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-neo/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-s3-neo-t3099384
It didn't work either. Is it possible that I chose the wrong GApps and this was the reason?
I think I used open gapps stock version, but not sure, don't have that SD card and can't check now.
i have used CM12 and 12.1 rox and RR and i don't recall these two problems that you have mentioned specially the internet problem to me it was perfect but with a little reboot here and there so soory i couldn't help.
P.S :soory for my bad english

Sim Card Not Detected - CM14 Based ROMS

Hi,
I've tried a few Android 7.0 AOSP ROMS on my single-sim UK Moto X Play but each failing to detect the sim card. Stock Android 6.0.1 detects it fine and i have a full backup. The latest ROM i flashed is AOSPExtended found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v1-1-t3486674 . I've tried GAPPS 7.1 Full, Stock and Micro as i read on a different forum this worked for someone on a different device but didn't for mine. I did use CM 14 Nightly which still didn't work along with other ROMS based off of it. I can't find anything recent on it anywhere and the older solutions have not worked. A while ago i did flash CM13 which worked fine with sim card being detected but went back to stock for the Moto features.
Advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've experienced the same issue previously. The only thing that worked was by flashing stock UK rom using rsdlite then reflashed the custom rom.

I tried using rsdlite after you said but couldn't get it to detect my phone. After you mentioned stock UK ROM I checked the one I had and it was a Europe ROM. Everything was working fine on stock Europe apart from it said dual sim but single sim still worked. After flashing stock UK ROM I could then flash a custom ROM. Thanks!
Any solutions?
I'm having the same trouble with Lineage OS and AOSP extended. Unfortunately I had to flash stock rom to get my SIM card working again.

I know this was a few days ago, maybe you've already figured it out?
Assuming you've already unlocked your bootloader and installed TWRP (custom recovery), than you can definitely flash Resurrection Remix. Our device codename is "athene" (that includes all variants of the G4 and G4 Plus).
Check out the development section in the G4 Plus forums. There you will find RR for our device and the latest build is 04/26. I've recently updated the OP of the thread with updated links to GApps and such. Also, don't worry about needing to be on stock Nougat as your device doesn't have a fingerprint sensor anyway. Good luck and lemme know if you have any more questions!
nice i have another question
the rom from resurection remix is stable? wich bugs have the last version?

None, it's very stable! They're official builds if that tells you anything. All features work great, even the stock Motorola features like "chop chop" etc. Motorola Camera can be a little tricky as there is a few options, meaning it can be a little confusing for some I think to get installed and working correctly. If you want help with that, lemme know.
Just make sure you take a backup in TWRP before you do anything and you should be fine.
what about
what about battery life vs the stock rom? and i know if i change resoluction from 1080 to 720 i can get more battery life? and the other thing i dont know is wich gapps i should download cuz when i enter in the link there is a diferent version of gapps aroma , aroma 64 etc etc

Your mileage will vary as far as battery usage goes. I don't know about changing your devices resolution from 1080 to 720 (not sure that's possible, but you can change the overall dpi. There are a couple options for doing this within the rom). As far as GApps to choose, in the OP (original post) of the Resurrection Remix thread there are recommended GApps to use. Open GApps is fine too, but just make sure to choose at most the "Mini version" for ARM. Whether you choose an Aroma version is up to you.
Just a word of caution
I have an xt1625 as well and I've tried ressirection remix rom and it runs great....for about 8 hours. Then my cellular data connection dies. I can't figure it out. It happens every time. My cellular data only comes back if I wipe and reinstall. It woks fine on other roms like Invicta os. I have no clue what's up with resurrection.

Help no sim Lineage 17

I just wanted to play around my moto x pure. It was on stock 7.1 and i tired to add lineage 16 but it gave an error so after trying a few roms i landed on 17 and now this installed perfectly but i dont have any sim detected.
Im kind of a noob when it comes to android I just want to go back to stock or a stable rom which is fast any help please.
I'm having the same problem. I saw for a different phone that someone had made a firmware package that got installed with the LineageOS package, and it would enable the sim card, but I don't know how to do that.
