dual sim bug and bluetooth - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a couple of problems with my Samsung Galaxy S III Duos (I9300). CM 12, CM 12.1.
1. I cannot switch to use Internet from another sim card. It always uses just one of them. I tried swapping cards, It just chooses one of them, not always sim in slot 1.
2. Problem with Bluetooth in car (BMW, CCC). When I call (incoming/outgoing call) from one sim card everything is fine. When I call from another sim, car answers the phone and shows duration of a call, but no sound.

U are using latest build?

I noticed these bugs when I was on CM12 or CM11 (not sure which one, November 2015 release, Android 5.0.1 if I'm not mistaken), flashed back to stock 4.4.4, both bugs disappeared, so I guess it was not a hardware problem. Then I tried CM 12.1 20151225 release, both bugs were still in the ROM, so I flashed 4.4.4 again.
Can anyone confirm if they have the same bugs or if they are known at all.
Thanks.

As I already wrote I did flash CM12.1 dated 25.12.2015 from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-neo/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-s3-neo-t3099384
It didn't work either. Is it possible that I chose the wrong GApps and this was the reason?
I think I used open gapps stock version, but not sure, don't have that SD card and can't check now.

i have used CM12 and 12.1 rox and RR and i don't recall these two problems that you have mentioned specially the internet problem to me it was perfect but with a little reboot here and there so soory i couldn't help.
P.S :soory for my bad english

A5_UL Eu single sim (and any compatible variants) Working ROM thread

Hi all.
I'm using CM12.1 5.1.1 from 20150429. Grarak unofficial ROM.
Any Cm12.1 based ROM newer than this has bugs making my phone unusable.
-long time detecting sim card, and long time getting a cellular connection once sim detected
-SMS not sending or receiving
-no calls incoming
Which basically make it a mini tablet ...
So far I've tried a pacman 5.0.3 ROM but found it sluggish.
Does anyone with this same model of phone have a workaround or a suggestion of a stable working 5.1 ROM?
Has anyone tried updating RUU with either success or failures to report?
I'm at a loss here and its a shame, this phone is good value for money and was working well up to this last cm12.1 build.
I really don't want to go back to 5.0, and I'm not sure any sense/stock ROM is better? Can you share positive experience on this matter?
Thanks to all devs who give their time to allow us to use and own our phones. I am grateful and in no way taking any of this for granted.
Without you we'd all have locked phones and no freedom.
And peace to all, above and beyond ALL the rest!
Stock with xposed & some mods like Nitro X spark works fine for me, as there is no good ROM for our phone .. the bugs makes the phone unusable with custom roms :/
And you don't have issues with disk space etc? Stock 5.0, 5.1 or 4.4 ?

Sim Card Not Detected - CM14 Based ROMS

Hi,
I've tried a few Android 7.0 AOSP ROMS on my single-sim UK Moto X Play but each failing to detect the sim card. Stock Android 6.0.1 detects it fine and i have a full backup. The latest ROM i flashed is AOSPExtended found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v1-1-t3486674 . I've tried GAPPS 7.1 Full, Stock and Micro as i read on a different forum this worked for someone on a different device but didn't for mine. I did use CM 14 Nightly which still didn't work along with other ROMS based off of it. I can't find anything recent on it anywhere and the older solutions have not worked. A while ago i did flash CM13 which worked fine with sim card being detected but went back to stock for the Moto features.
Advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've experienced the same issue previously. The only thing that worked was by flashing stock UK rom using rsdlite then reflashed the custom rom.

I tried using rsdlite after you said but couldn't get it to detect my phone. After you mentioned stock UK ROM I checked the one I had and it was a Europe ROM. Everything was working fine on stock Europe apart from it said dual sim but single sim still worked. After flashing stock UK ROM I could then flash a custom ROM. Thanks!
Any solutions?
I'm having the same trouble with Lineage OS and AOSP extended. Unfortunately I had to flash stock rom to get my SIM card working again.

Official lineage os 14.1 calls switching problem

Hello hai to everyone..
Recently i flashed official lineage 14.1 os custom rom on my zuk z1 but I'm faced calling sim switch problem And i found that calls with option is disabled..Not able to enable it,I think it's a major bug...can anyone fixed please let me know.
I tried with both airtel Sims and as well as airtel and jio sims but problem is still unresolved only one sim is working to make a call even i though I'm using two airtel sims but not able to switch between them.
But I'm receiving messages as well from second sim only calls switching between sims is not working...first sim always enabled as the default sim to make a call.
I'm also unable to see the call screen while in a call therefore unable to hang up or dial numbers during a call. It simply does not appear at all (after selecting the person to dial it just rings them in the background)
I am also face this problem
I think this is one of the major issue every Zuk Z1 user is facing. Same here. Probably we should ask the users who has upgraded from CM 13 to LOS 14.1 and check even they are facing this dual sim bug or not...also I think flashing Zui will solve the problem, but is the image/zip file for Zui 2.5 (Android 7.0) is available anywhere?

Hexagon for Z1? I flashed the same on Yu Yuphoria and in the first boot, the boot logo kept on animating for half an hour, I gave up hope and flashed RR (Nougat). With Z1, any such issues did you face? And sim bug is gone or what because after LOS 14.1, I flashed RR 5.8.2 hoping the bug will go away, but that's not the case.?

sims working perfect and I haven't faced any problem but before flashing make sure that you have to wipe data, cache, system, boot folders.Take a backup before doing this process.
thank you.

YES it's pre-rooted.
thank you.
I also have sim switching problem in my zuk z1 after installing Los 14.1.......
The call switching problem occurs since the baseband is not updated to correctly interact with Nougat. (As far as I know)
Flashing the ZUI zip corrects that since the modem is also updated, ZUI being an official software, and the company providing the updated modem files.
You can try updating the modem only, using fastboot commands in the bootloader with the modem file from ZUI zip and onto the modem partition.
Or you can wipe the device and do clean installs twice with ZUI, and LineageOS again.
Here's the link for ZUI 2.5 (Nougat) I used :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/orig-development/beta-zui-v2-5-115-t3539841
**It worked for me**

Try flashing NON-HLOS.bin from the zui zip using "fastboot flash modem *filename*" in bootloader mode.
**I haven't tried this so do take backup.**
And my problem was solved by clean flashing ZUI only. I used 2.5.115 beta version. I am currently using LineageOS, latest nightly from 4 April.

random reboots

idk if posted some same thread but my problem is my phone suddenly reboots.
screen went off, twice vibration, then went to samsung galaxy s5 logo.
current setup: android 6.0.1 running no limits rom. all stock
sometimes it reboots then it is stock on the bootloader. i need to remove the battery and turn it on manually. using bootloader and modem of the latest recommended bootloader from the no limits rom.
(it also random reboots on stock firmware using spain which i downloaded from sam mobile firmwares)
is this a hardware issue?
edit: what i did was i upgraded my stock rom from 5.0.1 russia to 6.0.1 spain, does this affect anything? should i stick with russia?

i don't think it has to do with the battery because as long as you have power cores will work,
Do your phone gets too hot then?
I know what's going on I think. Something modified your kernel or something in the ROM is unstable. I had one that did that same thing when I used the camera. You need a better ROM. I recommend ressurection remix 5.8.3 nougat 7.1.2. No reason to be on marshmallow. And get this kernel. It fixed the camera issue and improves battery life. It's a unified klte rom.

That does not guarantee there's no bugs in your phone. Have you ever flashed a ROM or anything to your device?

Upgrade to a nougat ROM. It uses the same bootloader of mm so you only need to flash a ROM. Get ressurection remix or lineage is 14.1. Nougat fixes a lot of bugs and security issues. And xtrestolite isn't the most stable ROM. I had it in my s4.
---------- Post added at 06:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:45 AM ----------
And then if you use rr get the kernel I showed you and flash that too. Please note these Roms don't come with gapps. Google open gapps and it comes up. You want arm 7.0 or 7.1. Stock if you don't mind waiting a while for it to download. I get nano to save time as it still installs the framework and playstore. It saves space and if you want something it didn't install play store will have it anyway.

If none of the software fixes work, it's your battery. Personal experiance from my S3 Mini and my S5. Don't rage over it going nuts (been there, done that) but just get a new battery.

Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Custom ROMs

I'm running Lineageos 14.1 on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 HLTE phone, and it's running ok. However, since it's been dropped from the list of supported devices for Lineage OS 14, there are no more updates coming out.
Are there any custom roms for Oreo or Pie that will work on this phone, that *are* getting updated? I've tried a few for Oreo and Pie that had various issues, including not reading the SIM card, and the ever present Lineageos 15.1/16.1 bluetooth calling bug. I use bluetooth calling quite a bit, so not having that would almost be a deal-breaker. However, what *is* a deal-breaker is not reading/finding the SIM card.
Are there any custom ROMs out there for Oreo or Pie that 1: Will actually find my Verizon SIM card? and 2: Bluetooth calling actually works?
Are most of the custom ROMs for the Note 3 based on Lineagos, or are there others out there that don't have these two issues?
Sorry, no Oreo or Pie ROMs have working BT calling on note 3. Many have tried and no one found the problem.
