hey you guys...i just ordered optimus s....i guess i will be leaving you...wanted to say my Thanks to everybody in the Hero forums (especially Aosp)
P.S. is it just me or there isn't optimus S forum on the XDA...(it's not the same as the optimus one is it...?)

Adios bru, and no I don't think there is a dedicated forum for the optimus on xda. All the development for it goes on over at the android central forums.

Optimus S = Optimus One = Optimus V = Optimus "insert letter here". Though money wise, with the optimus s you might have been better off dumping sprint for the optimus v on virgin. Same phone, same network, no contract, phone is $150, unlimited text and data with 300 minutes of talk for $25 a month. Unbeatable.

just so you know, aosp has his same aospCMod for the optimus, check the wiki, you'll be right at home.

I am 100% sure that V rom works on the S, just asked aosp in the "livehelp" IRC and he confirmed, a few people are already using the ROM on the opt S.

yeah..that is pretty good deal...but i got it of ebay ($80) and i'm gonna wait till I can upgrade to a high end device...hopefully the Evo 3d...thank you anyway..it is something to think about...

At least you didn't burn an upgrade for it. If Virgin had better devices, I'd be all over that like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

Mine is coming in today, so looks like I'll have to change forums to androidcentral

LOL i just remembered when i started looking at the optimus that XDA didn't have a forum for it.. So instead of starting a new thread to say good bye, i did a quick search for optimus.. saw someone post something about leaving the hero.. and the rest is my lazy history..

If Developers are in such need, then I might suggest grabbing some dev books, and learn.

atrix is already 2 years old and I have learned so much time passes by develop , atrix will be 30 years old
As Arstechnica reported the rollout of Lollipop for Moto G (2014) and Moto X has started. This applies only to carrier unlocked versions. You will find the Release Notes here.

Yes. Because it is a useful information and as far as i know it has not been reported on XDA.

What is wrong with most of you lately, spamming the general forum with all those annoying, pointless, speculation filled threads about the SAME THING? Where are the mods to clean all this mess up? All those threads (what, 10 or more?) could be merged together as it should be.
It's a goddamn update just like when we all got 4.4.x over 4.3, and it's coming soon (a week at most, maybe week and a half considering the soak test is happening right now for our 2013 G). No need to get all hyped up and annoying like high school girls gossipping over nothing at recess.
Sorry for the rant, I suppose I'm not the only one who feels like this lately.

People are too much desperate for Android L.
But this is heights.
We know we will get it eventually but there are countless thread on same topic .
There should be one and only thread for discussion if we want.It should be doing all the updates .
And This thread is also pointless and most of the people would read the portal news or blog post which is for its dedicated .
If the news / update is exclusive then you have right to create new thread but this news update is very common and most of us knows it.
I am not offending OP or anyone just sharing what I am thinking.

Just wanted to say goodbye to the Moto G community.
Recently bought my GF a Note 3 for her birthday, and needless to say, she didn't want it..... "it's tooooo biiiig!..."(p.s. not the first time she's said that...... haha j.k)
So I decided that I would make the switch to the note, and just recently sold my G.
It was the closest thing I've had to a nexus device, minus the 2 weeks I had a galaxy nexus back in the day.
The Moto G gave me my first taste of lollipop, and it was sweet. Very sweet!
Excited for official lollipop to come to my sweet new toy!
I have a lot of experience with XDA and modding phones, and the moto G is no exception.
If anyone has any questions they need help with, and dont feel like they want to bother a busy dev with IM's, use this thread to post whatever questions you want, and I will try to answer as best I can.

When quantity is over quality, this is a kind of a reply you can get from the moto g community. The lowest quality of all motorola communities i've ever been a part of in xda forums includng its moderators as well. So glad to part my way with the device and moto g xda community. I think it will. Probably together with a 5.1.1 update though. It just seems unlikely LG would put effort into bringing 6.0 to a 2 year old device.

i know the source. its the care center, i got the same answer.
But i checked, what they say is trash. so there is no official way to know.
Its a yes and no answer, as I see alot of sources saying there will be. But you can't trust everything on the internet. On the other hand, you can flash a custom rom like a G4 port to get the G UX 4.0 look if you wish.
