Screen proximity sensor - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
How do I turn off the proximity sensor which turns on the screen?

Start Moto app, tap left right corner (three stars menu), Actions, Approach for Moto Diplay.

[Q] ambient display usually unlock the phone

I got the ambient display on my S5 (G900F) form CM 12.1. Thanks to the gestures control, when I wave my hand it will display time, and the screen will light up. It's really cool, but it's easy to unlock the phone by mistake when the phone is in my pocket, because the proximity sensor detected a "hand wave". Once the ambient display is on, the phone just needs one swipe to unlock the phone.
I think the screen should keep locked even I tap the screen when it is on ambient display mode. Is there any way to achieve this function?
Sorry for my poor English

TWEAK/TIP - Prevent accidental unlocks

One of the big issues I have found, mainly with CM based ROMS, is that the option to prevent accidental unlocking seems to be missing/unavailable.
I've been testing various apps and utilities that monitor the proximity sensor, but there is one big issue - they monitor for screen on, but it seems in CM12.1 that the monitoring app doesn't work or get a screen on signal when you're using a lockscreen.
So the solution is not to check for screen on, but check for screen unlock.
I have a TASKER profile set up as follows:
If screen unlocked and proximity sensor on, then turn the screen off.
Works really simply. cover the proximity sensor with a bit of cloth or something and test it - if you double-tap the screen on, or it wakes due to a notification, the screen still goes on. But any subsequent action, eg slide to unlock or click on a notification, triggers the screen unlock flag, and this then checks to see if the proximity sensor is covered, and if it does, it turns the screen off again.
I CAN POST SCREENSHOTS IF ANYONE WANTS FURTHER INFO - BUT I'D SUGGEST GIVING TASKER A GO AND A PLAY ANYWAY, IT'S A BRILLIANT APP.

Proximity sensor while on call?

My screen is staying on when I hold it to my cheek on a call. Is there a setting I'm not seeing to turn on the proximity sensor? Shouldn't the screen go black in that situation?
I would Suggest downloading a proximity screen off app and test if sensor is working fine...

Can the ambient display be activated by waving hand in front of phone?

similar to the moto phones
no. you have to pick it up. then it senses motion, and turns on display. works well.
Yah, I need something like this when I'm in the car to 'wake' the phone. double-tap or some guesture instead of clicking the power button.

Blinking white pixel next to cutout while on a call??

I have noticed during a call a blinking white pixel next to the double hole cut out (just to the left of it). Has anyone else noticed this?
