Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge UK Price REVEALED - and it's not CHEAP - Samsung Galaxy S7 Guides, News, & Discussion

SAMSUNG'S Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge could be a pricey purchase, according to a fresh leak.
Samsung will launch its next flagship smartphone next week at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow in Barcelona.
But one of the biggest surprises of the announcement – the price – might already be out of the bag, thanks to a fresh leak.
Dutch technology blog Tweakers published a list of European prices for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with 32GB of internal storage.
This will not likely be the most storage available, so expect the top-end model to be considerably more.
The 32GB Galaxy S7 and 32GB Galaxy S7 Edge are expected to cost €699 and €799, some £540 and £620 converted.
Last year, Samsung charged £599 for the Galaxy S6 and £699 for the Galaxy S6 Edge in the UK at launch. Both of this prices dropped a few months after launch due to sluggish sales.
Some reports suggest every pre-order of an S7 model will come with a free Samsung VR headset, which would add value to a hefty price tag.

Samsung's Galaxy S7 will be available in the United States on Friday March 11th 2016, serial leaker Evan Blass has previously posted on Twitter.
Mr Blass has an almost impeccable track record, so it's safe to assume the Galaxy S7 will hit US stores on that date. It's likely to arrive on UK shores in the days that follow.
An employee for the hugely-popular South Korean firm has revealed that the next-generation handset will feature a black chassis, to build-on its premium feel.
The smartphone will also reportedly feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and will sit flush with the body of the phone, unlike the bulkier 16-megapixel rear camera shipped with the Galaxy S6.
Samsung is also believed to be focusing on low-light performance with a number of lens improvements and a larger sensor.
Speaking to a Korean publication, the alleged employee claims the Galaxy S7 will be dust and water resistant and will also reintroduce the microSD card slot to the flagship smartphone range.
Leaked renders of the Galaxy S7 previously revealed the smartphone will use microUSB rather than USB-Type C for syncing and fast-charging.
Wireless charging via the Qi standard will also be supported, insiders reveal.
The Wall Street Journal also collaborated recent reports the flagship smartphone will be one of the first mainstream Android smartphones to ship with a pressure-sensitive display.
Synaptics is believed to be developing the pressure sensitive display and technology that will power the new smartphone.
Similar to Apple's 3D Touch, the Synaptics' technology – dubbed ClearForce – responds to different levels of pressure applied to the multitouch glass display.
The pressure sensitive technology will allow Samsung to add more options to the display than the traditional swipe, pinch and tap used on multi-touch smartphones.

700€ like always, normal price

€699 and €799, some £540 and £620 converted.
You mean €699 and €799, some £699 and £799 converted. The UK never gets fair converted pricing, only OnePlus do it well.

Last year's S6 €699 was converted to £599 IIRC.

They should do a trade in as the S6 is pretty crap really....

I paid £820 on release of the 64gb platinum gold edge through o2

Not trying to start an argument here, but I honesty don't blame him. I got the S6 edge and it barely lasts me a day. Never complained of battery life before I sold my Galaxy S5.

Samsung Galaxy Note III rumored to launch in US with 5.9" display

According to a report from Korea Times, the next generation Galaxy Note will launch in the United States as confirmed by the local suppliers. The report also claims that the South Korean manufacturer will be showing off its Galaxy Note III concept to the US carrier AT&T in the coming days.
Samsung Galaxy Note III is also rumored to sport the latest OLED technology for the display, which is expected to offer a full HD resolution.
The successor of the Galaxy Note II is expected to be launched by the end of August, falling in line with the IFA 2013, but Samsung might chose to skip the show and hold its own Unpacked event in the US as it did for the Galaxy S4.

I think 5'9" is pretty definitive based on the sources I've seen.
I couldn't believe Samsung would go 6'3", too bigga jump....would cost them too many users. 5'9" is closer to the jump they made from Note1 to Note2.
I'm now betting the bank on 5'9".

I am interested in the Note 3, and while it is probably around 6 months away, no doubt the speculation will start rolling out.
I think the actual size of the Note 3 won't change much (when compared with the Note 2). I think the extra screen space will be from an edge to edge (or close to) display.
The size of the Note 2 is big, but it is pocketable. So you get all the benefits of it being portable, as well as all that screen for your Sat Nav, Pictures, Camera, Videos, Browsing, or whatever you use your Note for.
That is the form factor they have to bare in mind.
We will probably get a lot of clues from the S3/S4 differences.
gossip geeks
I'll wait for the Note III rather than the S4.
There seems to be less hype for the S4 and no wow factor to the S3.
Well at least discussing an imaginary phone with a 5.9" screen is not as bad as discussing an imaginary phone with a 6.3" screen.

This new rumor could mean several different things:
The Galaxy Fonblet is actually a 6.3-inch device, not a 5.8-inch device and the Galaxy Note 3 is indeed 5.9-inches.
The Galaxy Fonblet has two models, 5.8-inches and 6.3-inches and the Galaxy Note 3 is smaller, perhaps the same 5.5-inches.
The Galaxy Fonblet has two models, 5.8-inches and 6.3-inches and the 5.9-inch Galaxy Note 3 is dangerously close in size to the 5.8-inch Fonblet.
The Galaxy Fonblet is actually 5.8-inch device, not 6.3-inches, and the Galaxy Note 3 is 6.3-inches.
Both devices aren’t real and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could have a 5.9-inch or 6.3-inch display.
Unfortunately, because we’re so far off from launch, these are all plausible at this point. The emergence of a possible 6.3-inch Fonblet certainly adds a new twist to the Galaxy Note 3 rumors however as Samsung obviously would not have different devices with the same size display competing against each other in the same markets.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored for launch in September and it could be that we have to wait until then to find out what’s what.

The rumors of the next generation Samsung Galaxy Note phablet are growing thick and fast. An alleged image of the Galaxy Note III phablet has appeared online, sporting a 5.9-inch display.
According to a report from MyDrivers, the upcoming Galaxy Note phablet will feature a Full HD display and packs a punch with the company's own Exynos 5410 Octa processor, with the four powerful Cortex A15 chips clocked at 2.0 GHz, and the remaining four power-saving Cortex A7 chips running at 1.7 GHz.
Samsung Galaxy Note III is said to come with 3 GB of RAM and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Furthermore, the phablet is rumored to be unveiled during IFA 2013.

Umm rumours seems to contradict themselves. We have confirmation that the Note III will have Unbreakable flexible OLED(720p) screen.
The First Flexible AMOLED Display to be launched in Q4’2013
So maybe THIS post is right. There will be 2 versions, One full HD(glass) and one 720p(flexible plastic)
Interesting but why does it not even have a Samsung logo? Plus the bezel seems far too big at the bottom. Chinese knock off perhaps?

I agree, the phone doesn't quite look high enough quality. I'd be suprised if they made the bezzle that big or the home button that small. I'm also hoping that they wont make the handset that much bigger than the note 2.
As for the specs... they are what I would have guessed.

I don't know why you say we don't have confirmation. The source comes from the OLED association, it's pretty solid. And yes it will be 720p. We know they can't produce enough flexible screen for the market so logic dictates that they will have two versions.
And yes, even on the Mydrivers website the chinese comments all says the phone is a fake.
Because the "oled association" is not Samsung and they don't have any papers about the future devices of any brand as all of them are secret projects to avoid industrial espionage, so until samsung says that, it is fake.
Also, note it is a top device of samsung who cannot sell low specs like 720p, so likely the device with the new unbreakable screen with 720p will be a new one to test the market, not the second bestseller of samsung.

Well the news is from OLED Association but the info comes from SDC(Samsung Display Corporation). And if you read it doesn't say "rumours" anywhere.
Note III is a top device yes, so it should have top technology. Being the first device in the world to have a flexible unbreakable screen is not a little thing even if it is only a 720p. If having a 0.5mm flexible 720p(opposed to 1.5mm glass) means getting a bigger battery, I say go for it Samsung. I would buy a Note III with 4500mAh battery and 720p screen anytime.

Galaxy Grand 2 launching in India in first week of January

Samsung*recently made the Galaxy Grand 2 official, and now the company has unveiled the device in one of the original Galaxy Grand’s most important market at a dedicated launch event. The second-generation Grand will be launching in India in the first week of January – a price tag hasn’t been mentioned, but according to*BGR, it should be priced somewhere between Rs. 22,900 (~ $370) and Rs. 24,900 (~ $400). That’s not exactly the most sensible price in a market like India, where local players offer much better hardware at lower prices (not to mention the Galaxy S3 can be had for around the same price), but Samsung’s brand and marketing power should ensure the Grand 2 is every bit a success as the original Grand.
When it comes to specs, the Galaxy Grand 2 sports numerous upgrades over its predecessor, mainly in the screen, CPU, and software department. There’s a 5.25-inch screen with 720p resolution, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD cards (up to 64GB), and a 2,600 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.3 out of the box, which technically makes it compatible with the Galaxy Gear, though it remains to be seen if Samsung will officially offer Galaxy Gear support considering the device’s mid-range nature.

Not worth the price... screen is too big IMO. 5" is already on the borderline of being useless unless you have a gigantic hand... ideal screen is like 4.5-4.7" Moto G is a much better deal, all around great price with reasonable specs and almost vanilla stock Android.. but I guess there is not much choice in the dual SIM world.
Yet another planned obsolence device from Samsung...

i just know one thing..from next time better take a phone with rich ppi and Non broadcomm processor... (coz lets be fair, it reduces quality and makes things work)..its bettr sm1 take oldy nexus 4....better then dat atleast its smthng with non broadcomm thing.(i hate this weak chipset)...its dual core is mostly similar to one core of a good quality chipset...second is ppi..300+ ppi is demand today.....and don't have it..
not to forget most games play on our grand in low quality bcoz our resolution is sick.....!!
so is grand 2 resolution (if we compare with today's good phones)..
A price of 19000 to 21 thousand is too overpriced
http://www.prodsea.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Grand-2/mobiles-price-1003-1994
Nothing different to the earlier grand, just a better ram and some minor changes. Not worth to go for it when Nexus or an Galaxy S3 is in a little more reach
Samsung was clever, Grand lines isn't targeted for geeks who value specs... it's for ordinary people who desire a decent and affordable dual SIM device. i9082/L had everything to satisfy ordinary people: dual SIM, 8MP camera, 5" screen albeit low res, but Samsung knows ordinary people just won't recognize the difference, and the most important... the price.
Now Samsung seems to be lost at its own goal, ok they want to satisfy ordinary people with this but they shouldn't have increased the price... all the upgrades are on the specs side, which ordinary people rarely understands and values.

Grand 2 is really overpriced.
Better get Sony Xperia ZL or Xperia ZR for this price as they are way better phones than the Grand or Grand 2.
Samsung tried make this Grand thing look classy with leather look plastic, but it's ridiculous. Not a phony if the price was cheap
And now I heard from gsmarena.com there will be Grand Neo(Lite) launch in mid-February, the spec is come between Grand first and Grand 2.
I think this is a Joke,
Well the faux leather is Samsung's response to consumer complaints about their horrible build quality... using Hyperglaze plastic which is slippery, fingerprint magnet, and so outdated (like a 2006 phone). But it's just fooling the consumers really... I have seen Note 3 Ads with text like "delicate leather stitching" DUDE ARE YOU F***ING SERIOUS THIS IS STILL PLASTIC. I mean if they really want to go with plastic why choose the Hyperglaze or the faux leather. Why can't they use soft-touch plastic like the one in Nexus 5. I just never understand Samsung's design philosophy...
I seriously would prefer if they release few high quality products, not a lot of them but with the same recycled faux leather design and juggling alternative specs... one thing for sure is that however high-end a Samsung phone specs is, it will always have lags due to Touchwiz.

Who thinks that the Galaxy S5 is a disappointment?

I already saw the leaked images and feel that the S5 is a taller version of the S4 with ribbed back. And same cheap plastic. No go for me. I think LG or HTC will be winning?
Anyone else disappointed in what the S5 will be?
I think a lot of us are but let see what Samsung does. They are starting the announcement now. We'll have a better opinion afterwards.

The galaxy s1, 2, and 4 all seemed to be big leaps from the prior generation to me. The s3 at the least inherited a whole new design language. I love Sammy but the s5 seems to be a huuuuuge let down. It's not really their fault, most processor, screen, and camera improvements in the last year have been modest. But a let down nonetheless
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
I'm not at all impressed with the design of it. I expected something new with it. To me, this does not feel new. The whole Galaxy Gear and Fit stuff, don't care too much about either.
Now let's go with what I am impressed with. Just from seeing the UI, and hearing it's not packed full of useless S branded crap is a huge plus to me. The fingerprint scanner is pretty nice too.
I know people aren't too keen on Knox, but I'm hoping Samsung did improve on Knox for the corporate sector. The school district I manage the cell phone service for has upgrades coming in a month or two for 90% of the lines, and depending how Knox's security is, this is going to be a deciding factor in the new mobile purchases.
Maybe the version that leaked isn't the premium version. I will pass judgement once the device is officially announced.
I don't like the increases in size and weight, considering it only gets a 0.1" larger screen. The bezels look larger than the S4. Keeping the RAM at 2GB and 16-32GB storage (and, if the past is any indication, 16GB will be the only one readily available) for the 3rd straight generation, while the Note has increased to 3GB/32GB minimum, indicates that this is no longer their flagship phone. I had an S2, skipped the S3, now have an S4, and will skip the S5. Smallest increase in overall specs in the 'S' series yet. Water resistance is nice, but not that big a deal to me. USB3 is a nice upgrade, but that's the only thing that really jumps out at me. Camera is better, but I don't use a camera that much anyways, so doesn't matter to me. VERY happy they are continuing the use of SD cards & removable batteries, though. If I lost my S4 it would be a toss-up for me between the S5 & Note3.
no FM radio
Lack of FM radio is a disappointment. Still prefere phones with good old fashion radio receiver.
i expected more bang, but i guess jumping from my s2 to an s5 is indeed a huge gain!
The design is just...terrible.
I'm glad I purchased a Note 3. The GS5 looks too big to not be in the Note family.
Same RAM, lower perceived screen resolution, same design, really weird UI redesign. Not impressed. Should have been called GS4+
As for the next HTC phone, I have a feeling it will be a disappointment as well.

3 phones I'm interested in, the Z2 (never owned a Sony phone, it may be time), the G3 and iPhone 6. The S5 is a good phone but it just improved the S4. It's a marriage between the S4 and S4 active in what the S4 should have been in the first place. I think if I say S4 once more I'm gonna puke....

These specs are unacceptable
Everyone was hyping it to be the next best thing. Even a Samsung exec said that they understood how they failed to innovate with the S4. I even expected it to have the 2k resolution screen and camera with OIS since LG was able to do it a few months ago. Samsung sure made the people who bought the Note 3 feel good about their purchases.

Where in Mumbai can we get it for that Price ?
Please
I got it for 68K black color without bill ofcourse 2 months back. The reason for this high price in my case I only wanted the model number SM-N915G not another which ends for "S" or "U" etc. The 915G model is made for Singapore, Australia & INDIA. This makes it better to support indan networks and upgrading to Indian Firmwares from SamMobiles. This is atleast my thought
BTW I even have now 3 - 4 cases for the case
1. Official Note Edge Samsung Flip Case - I have 2 of them so someone wants let me know
2. UAG Note Edge Case - Love it and currently using it
3. Verus Case - in 3 colors, some of them is packed as well. I have it Red, Silver & Black. I am planing to sell the Red one.

I bought this smartphone from Delhi grey market! It's Korean career unlocked device.
Better you should go for with bill from flip kart or snapdeal
The stock samsung news scroller (Yahoo) is useless in India. Wish we had an alternative for a news scroller for edge
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge CASES
the phone is here but where is the lollipop update, this is really ridiculous of samsung.
I dont actually expect an update till atleast end march the way things are going. The note 4 hasnt even started getting the update yet here in India.
It's really horrible. My S4 is on lollipop officially but not My note edge
Actually we seem to have spoken too soon. Lolipop has just come out for the Australian G version. Which means we should also get one soon.
Ps. I also flashed the s4 with lollipop and i loved what Samsung has done! Cant wait.
Indian users finally get a taste of lollipop! Before note 4 users
Go download now!
I believe the Lollipop for India has just been released....it's already available in Sammobile.
Note edge lollipop india review needed
Hello Everyone.
I need review for the lollipop update of the galaxy note edge in india. If anyone has updated, can you please confirm the following :-
1. Has the shutter button in the camera app shifted from the edge screen to the main screen near the home button after the lollipop update.
2. Is the edge screen and its old functions working normally like utility tool such as ruler and flashlight on the edge screen?
3. Any other bugs observed after the new update?
