Vibration it's managed by kernel
So you need a custom kernel but since today nobody provide it

I know that you need a custom kernel for that
I asked huawei today, they have no intention to provide it in P8Lite, maybe in P9 but not sure at the moment..

[Q] How do you change android's vibration pattern back to the original vibration?

So after I updated my samsung continuum to 2.2 and putting EC09 my vibration pattern changed. Instead of the two small vibrations it does one long vibration. I'd rather stay with the original pattern.. Is there a way to change it back to the original? Not through apps but through roots or zips?

Which app is the vibration changed in? Messaging notifications, phone calls, another app, what? Is it across the board on all non call notifications? Which rom are you on? is it odexed or deodexed?
It changed on all the apps I download and all of the apps already installed *messaging and calling included* And I'm EC09 Deodexed. It randomly changed the vibration from the two small buzz to one long buzz.

Hmmm. It could be changed back, if you were to hack something in (I believe) services.jar. Dont ask me to do , it, though. That's above my pay grade. To be honest, its been so long since I've been on eclair, that I dont remember what the vibration pattern was. Is there a particular reason you want the double vibration back, or is it just personal preference?
Sent from my SCH-I400 using Tapatalk 2
Hmm.. I've been hearing either framework or service jar but I'll check. And the double vibration I find it better. During work it does an extremely long vibration and it distracts everyone. When I had the double vibrate the vibration was soft and didn't distract anyone.

Why dont you just change the intensity?

It doesn't say I can change intensity. Or at least for vibration.

Check Settings > Sound Settings. Scroll down, there should be an option for Vibration Intensity. I think it was added in when we got 2.2

Hmm. Where did you get your EC09 Deodexed ROM from? I'd reflash one from our Dev section... you should have the intensity option in your settings.
EDIT: Shoot. I meant Sound Settings! Not Call Settings.

Hmm.. there's a vibration intensity in the sound settings. but it's for haptic feedback. so only for softkeys and certain UI interactions.. Nothing about mms or phone calls. Vibration stays the same.

Oh it's only for the haptic. Well that sucks. I guess there isn't an option.

Alert slider mapping

I'm currently thinking of a remapping app (remapping as in changing a physical button's output) , but I do not own a oneplus two. Can somebody tell me what the alert slider's keycodes are?
If any of you is willing to help but do not know how to find such info, I attached an apk (that I built from an open source code) to this post. Please install and open the app then change the alert slider state, screenshot the output then send them to me. Also, please state what ROM version you are running.
When the app is finally released to an xda thread, I'll list all the testers there of course.
P.S: The Alert Slider is that new hardware slider that changes sound profiles, in case you didn't already know
Here is the screenshot, hope it helps, makes sense to have the silent mode in the down position.

Swapping the "none" profile and "all" profile was exactly what I was thinking.
Can you please tell me what the output of the other states of the slider was?
EDIT:What you actually sent me was the mapping of the back button
is it possible to map it so loud, vibrate and silent

That is what I am trying to achieve. If you own a One Plus Two, please download and install the apk and send me the screenshots after you toggle each alert slider state
The app does not do anything when toggling alert slider unfortunately.

Wow, that is a very unexpected result ._. I'll have to look into the source code then.
Thanks a lot everyone
This would be genius !
I'm ready to be your beta-tester
OPT with OxygenOS 2.0.2 with Xposed here.
Would be great if we could reverse the mappings, so instead of all notifications with the slider being all the way down it would be all the way up for all notifications.
Slider up: All notifications
Slider middle: Priority
Slider down: Silent
Strange idea, but what if for each slide matched a battery profile, like battery saver, balanced, performance?

I thought about having multiple layout options : battery modes;CPU governors; rotation change etc..
However I still haven't found the alert slider mapping file :/ This is becoming quite frustrating
Will have my OPT soon and will do anything I can to help out with this. Think the All/Priority/None options are not useful at all.
its taking a lot of time ...attached img is for priority ..ie key in d middle..

I made an app for it. Try play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nqk.vibratemode (sorry, I need to post 10 posts in order to embed the link
You just need to follow the instruction and enjoy the vibration.

While in call, the only way you can go about doing this is by going to homescreen(press the home button while on call)>settings>change the settings specifically. Or, you can change the phone mode to silent from the notification panel and then revert back.
it's strange that it vibrate in call,it's in all the 6.0.1?

Well yes, if you don't want notifications at all while you are on a call alone, you can change the settings from the phone application. Go to your dialer, then open settings and unselect the notify during calls options.
well i don't find the specific setting in call..where is it exactly at the nexus?

Anyone find a solution to this? Do I really have to use tasker to get this done?
Same issue here... there is no option in settings that I can find to turn it off. Its gone from annoying to infuriating... maybe its fixed in preview 5.... if the stupid OTA would ever get here
Drives me nuts, vibration should be off by default while in a call.
vibrate during call bug fixed
Looks like bug has been fixed and will be available in "future build"
I can't post url yet, google: Issue 220951: 7.0 Nougat vibration during call problem
I'm using a Huawei Mate 8 and have also run into this issue, on Android 7.0.
Using Light Flow (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite&hl=en) will allow you to work around this issue.
For each notification type (within Light Flow) there is an option to toggle "Vibrate in call".

OnePlus 2 BROKEN ALERT SLIDER OOS 3.5.6

Hi everybody ! I have an awful problem with the alert slider of my OP2. it is totally broken, can't use it anymore. when it worked it was in Do Not Disturb and now it is locked in DND too... what can i do?
just because i can put in dnd/mute/all with the volume buttons i use a custom rom.
IS THERE ANY CHANCE TO DISABLE THE ALERT SLIDER? AND DO ALL THE MUTE/VIBRATE/ALL STUFF WITH THE VOLUME BUTTONS?
Looking forward to your reply. thank you!

Did you try pressing tge volume up button again and again? That works for me to get out of the do not disturb mode. Also there is a QS tile for do not disturb. Try tgat.

Sorry, I've switched to a custom ROM months ago so no longer know where that option is in MIUI. Hope someone else using stock helps you out. :fingers-crossed:
