Need development of .bat file to root zenfone 550kl - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need development of .bat file to root zenfone laser 550kl not the rooted firmware itself

At the moment there is no other possibility than to flash the patched / pre-rooted image files...

wait for some time & I will release easiest root method for ze550kl.
I am testing this on my device & everything works smoothly.
its not like pre-rooted / patched image files.

Go for it

Any word on this? I am getting my phone tomorrow!

So far the easiest way is to run the modified boot img through fastboot after unlocking the bootloader.

At&T Zenfone 2e helpful find. Enjoy

I purchased the Zenfone 2, and had my Zenfone 2e laying around so I began to play. Here's my find. I downloaded firmware for the ZE500CL from Asus and flashed over At&t stock firmware. And to my excitement I now have a stock Zenfone 2e running stock Asus firmware. Here's what I did. Did a factory reset. Then rooted using the one click method. Rebooted and ran through the phone setup, upgraded SuperSu. Then I downloaded root one click method with CWM tethered recovery. Googled "Asus Zenfone ZE500CL" and went to Asus page for phone, downloaded firmware 12.16.5.102. After all that I renamed file to update.zip, and copied to Root of internal SD card. Then I ran the one click root with CWM recovery, typed ACCEPT and did option T4. Once recovery booted installed the update from the update from SD card and selected the update.zip file. About 5 mins later update completed and I rebooted and up came the Asus splash and booted into stock Asus. Worked like a charm for me. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY BAD FLASHING OR DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE. THIS WORKED FOR ME ON A COMPLETE STOCK AT&T DEVICE. GOOD LUCK.
This is big news. Do you mind if I cross post this to the zf2e thread I've got going?

Well, I've crossposted and now we're going to be getting more ddevelopment on this device. This Rom runs so much better than AT&T's crappy firmware so even if custom roms didn't happen that's pretty okay.

Gonna flash this here in just a few, thank you shawn, and thank you Alex..

Was hoping there would be a kitkat stock rom for this phone. i cant even get Xposed to work in lollipop rom.
I couldn't find the ROM on the Asus web site so this one is from needrom .com you have to create an account first. http://www.needrom.com/download/zenfone-2-ze500cl/

This method absolutely works great, my only problem is i can't find a permanent custom recovery... Flashfire doesn't work, thought i bricked my phone when it first ran.
Completely on stock firmware....no more at&t junk. Excellent find
Sent from my Z00D using Tapatalk
You can't use custom recovery, bootloader is not unlockable at this point. Here its that link to the Asus firmware you could not find.

Boo hoo, exchanging my 2e for another 2e, tried installing xposed manually with root browser. When i got to libsigchain.so is when everything got jacked up, maybe a computer for Christmas would be nice.

Latest non branded firmware for this device.... http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE500CL/UL-ASUS_Z00D-WW-12.16.5.118-user.zip install this the same way in op. No wipe, no rename, just install zip with tethered cwm ( dirty flash) do not use phones update firmware app. And the stupid root.bat never worked either, just tethered recovery and flash supersu. If a bootloop occurs, hopefully you can get into stock recovery and adb the zip again, the zip is kinda of like your backup, I've also heard if you try to create a backup with the tethered recovery it will cause a bootloop which you may need to get into stock recovery after installing it and wipe your cache but I don't know cuz I've never tried it with this phone. in the past on other devices it has worked.
also trying to modify the firmware zip downloaded from Asus does not work as they are all .img I hope this device gets some type of developer attention

One last post, just for info.... Flashfire http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/paid-software/flashfire-t3075433 does not work on this phone, screen goes black with a glow, 10 minutes later reboots... zip not flashed

Zenfone 2e ATT bestbuy purchase,
i can confirm, this rollback to nonbranded latest firmware works.
Now that it's loaded, i look forward to testing out performance... Already tested the Wifi tether on att network, it doesn't block it any more...
That's worth this process alone...
Thanks for your bravery testing with those firmwares... i was let down when i saw on the Asus support site that 'downgrades' weren't possible... Lol this works perfect though.
Does this get rid of the sims lock to att network?

It doesn't, you'll still be on att unless you network unlocked, and you'll still have a locked bootloader....forever

Doubts about Android update 6 on Zenfone 2

Hi guys, i have the Zenfone 2 with the last LL update.
I would like to upgrade to 6 but I have some doubts. If I do the update via sideload I will lose TWRP? If I lose I will have to do unlock the Bootloader again?
Yes, as has been said many times before, it will relock and the new bootloader will replace twrp. But it's easy to get it back. just use the tool found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3458145
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
Another question, after uptade to 6 and i wish to get back to 5.0, i can use the twrp backup ?
Before i made any change on my phone, i use the twrp backup, if anything goes wrong, i reload the backup and get back my phone

I'm not sure, but at the same time Asus published the update to Android 6, they also uploaded a zip to go back to Android 5. I guess you could sideload that one, unlock the bootloader and flash twrp again to have the phone as you had it.

To go back you'd need to downgrade to LP, unlock and install TWRP for LP then restore.

Rooting the stock 305 ftf e6653

HI guys,
I have the e6653 device and I am wondering on how to root it on the latest 305 fw. I have downloaded the ftf unpacked with Xperiafirm app and assembled using flashtool without including TA files. Once I flash it, can I just install twrp and flash supersu and xposed and finally restore my backed up TA files?
Thx!!!
Make a patched kernel, flash rom via flashtool, then without booting flash patched kernel, then if you didn't attach SuperSU in recovery, flash that too before booting. And you are good to go later.

I actually figured it out, thanks anyway.
you cannot root without patching kernel
you cannot patch kernel without unlocking bootloader
with bootloader LOCKED , flash Android L and root by xploiting andoid OS (kingroot/oneclickroot) etc and extract drm keys!
then unlock bootloader and flash .305 and then flash modified kernel (having TWRP). flash supersu via twrp and you will have rooted .305

Flash AFT ROM, it will lock the bootloader after flash.
1. Download AFT 340 ROM from here: (on your PC)
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/iNoC/4VQB1h4sE
2. Go to fastboot mode:
3. Plug the phone to your computer.
4. Extract the AFT ROM and run flash_all.bat (Windows) or flash_all.sh (Linux)
After it done, it will automatic restart, don't touch everything during flash.
5. Update to Pie (optional)

1. Try turn on the phone and wait 1 minute
2. Download AFT ROM from the link below
3. Extract downloaded zip and run Flashall_AFT.bat
4. Wait until it done, it will lock bootloader, install stock, and automatically reboot the phone after complete. See the CMD screen during flash to make sure it flash everything successfully. If it said wait for device or boot protected, you are out of luck.
Try this method if you see your phone as QCOM...9008: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-fixing-hard-bricks-t3403868

Thats what cause this problem. I was stuck earlier at fastboot mode while doing root and then i found a youtube video explaining how to use this AFT and flash all bat file. Right after I did. phone restarted and no more screen display.
any idea?
Nope, try this first if you see your device as Qualcomm...9008: https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...brick-unbrick-hardbricked-max-pro-m1-t3829754
After that, flash the AFT ROM to get latest Oero 340 for daily use order than that old 215 build.

Stock ROM always override stock recovery every boot. Go to TWRP right after flash or flash a custom rom, then TWRP.
Which ROM are you using? Magisk will work will almost all Nougat, Oreo, Pie ROMs and Magisk 19.5+ for Android Q. If you don't like Magisk because too many features, install SuperSU.

The latest TWRP working for ZMP M1 was r47 release. Don't know if it's still applicable for the latest update. Try checking latest TWRP for lineage OS builds

Flash supersu zip or magisk zip using twrp. That's it.
You can any TWRP that it is 3.2.3+ to flash Pie and nonSAR roms. Decrypt? You must use a recovery that match your rom's security patch.
TWRP for Pie: (Working O and Q but not able to decrypt due to Pie's security patch included)
