Having the same issue, after flashing a custom Android 6 rom I'm now stuck with Marshmallow.
I am not able to adb sideload stock Asus rom, but I can still flash other Android 6 rom without problem

I just tried the tutorials its does not work ... I'm still stuck on the Asus screen ...

if you stuck on ASUS logo screen, boot twrp once, it would solve this problem.
download stock from asus site, and flash with stock recovery.
twrp didn't support stock firmware.

I have another problem when I boot I oblige as previously said to fastboot boot boot.img if not my phone tells me error : can not loade invalid picture
I tried to do: fastboot flash boot.img successfully but this doesnt have anything you ideas ?

Actually I have downloaded the fastboot ROM of cm12.1 ,my phone is in brick mode I mean boot loop, bootloader is locked , what I can do to get cm12.1 by that fastboot ROM ,how to flash that ,and unbrick my phone

How to update what's the first step I have to do

download fastboot package for cm12.1 , extract cm12.1 package and flash tools to same folder, then power off phone , keep pressing vol up button attached usb to phone , it will goto fast boot, then click flashall.bat
it is done,,
dont forget to install drivers if needed

Bootloader lost !! Please Help ZE552KL
I used TWRP to flash official lineage os 16, it was working fine but a new update came and it booted directly into recovery to install firmware. It could not install it . I was stuck in recovery. when I flashed my backup of lineage os it indicated some error saying /system not found. I then searched over and run some command in unlocked bootloader fastboot to fix it. I found a thread on xda to fix system error in TWRP and run cmd "fastboot erase system "also erased boot and recovery then clean installed boot and recovery but my bootloader was gone.
Now it's stuck at powered by android only and with no asus logo. I used asus flash tool with raw image file
to get into stock rom but failed.
when I press volume up and power key the system bootloader comes but the deafult bootloader and the unlocked screen message is not showing.
and when i press only the power button there is no asus logo the phone is stuck at screen saying "Powered by android"

T561 - cannot get into recovery despite stock flash

Hello,
I have got tough nut to crack - T561 so nonQualcom one I bought on ebay.
Generally it is stuck on boot logo. I can get into Download Mode but not into Recovery mode (i know the combo - it simply doesn't work).
It is recocgnized by ODIN so I have tried flashing stock rom - it passes but even stock ROM is stuck on boot logo and doesn't go into Recovery.
I have tried flashing TWRP via ODIN - flashing passes but still cannot get into recovery - what's more there is red exclamation mark in upper left corner of the screen.
After TWRP i can still flash stock ROM and exclamation mark disappears - so it is just a marker of non stock component.
I have simply ran out of ideas. One interesting comment I have found on different device :
Factory resetting and wiping cache removes the conflicting data and allows the device to boot. Flashing via Odin does not wipe the data from the device during the flashing process unless the firmware being flashed has an upgraded/downgraded bootloader.

Is there an option to upgrade bootloader in my case so the caches are wiped ?
Or maybe someone has any other idea ?
