T561 - cannot get into recovery despite stock flash - Samsung Galaxy Tab E Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have got tough nut to crack - T561 so nonQualcom one I bought on ebay.
Generally it is stuck on boot logo. I can get into Download Mode but not into Recovery mode (i know the combo - it simply doesn't work).
It is recocgnized by ODIN so I have tried flashing stock rom - it passes but even stock ROM is stuck on boot logo and doesn't go into Recovery.
I have tried flashing TWRP via ODIN - flashing passes but still cannot get into recovery - what's more there is red exclamation mark in upper left corner of the screen.
After TWRP i can still flash stock ROM and exclamation mark disappears - so it is just a marker of non stock component.
I have simply ran out of ideas. One interesting comment I have found on different device :
Factory resetting and wiping cache removes the conflicting data and allows the device to boot. Flashing via Odin does not wipe the data from the device during the flashing process unless the firmware being flashed has an upgraded/downgraded bootloader.

Is there an option to upgrade bootloader in my case so the caches are wiped ?
Or maybe someone has any other idea ?

GT-I9505 Stuck at Boot

I decided to unroot my S4 seeing as though a rom I had flashed was screwing around with my system. I eventually was able to flash a stock rom via kies, but now the phone is stuck at the boot screen (Samsung logo with blue light).
I have tried booting into recovery mode, but for some reason after 5 seconds, it just ignores it and goes into standard boot, something that it has done since I flashed the bad rom.
Would anyone know a fix for this?
Thanks in advance.
An update. I managed to get into recovery mode but instead of the normal android with the blue square, the android is on the ground with a red triangle. I've wiped cache and data, but still getting stuck at the boot screen.
Some help would be appreciated.

There is a 50/50 chance that if you go back into twrp/cwm custom recovery
and do a "factory reset" it would boot up normally unless you also wiped
"system".
Good luck!

Flash a stock firmware using odin in download mode then see if it reboots
If not go to stock recovery after that factory reset and wipe cache reboot

G900H - Stuck at Samsung Logo

Hello
I have a rooted G900H on the stock ROM with the stock recovery installed.
I was going to patch the core.jar using Lucky Patcher so I figured I should make a nandroid backup first, so I booted to recovery only to find out it was the stock recovery. I figured I would go back to normal and then figure it out from there.
I chose the 'reboot to system' option and the phone got stuck at the Samsung logo.
I tried removing the battery and when I booted it up it got stuck again.
I have tried choosing the 'power down' option then turning it on, booting it without the microSD card, rebooting using power and volume down, and removing the battery and replacing the battery with a spare I have but everything leads back to the same - stuck at the Samsung Logo.
I have also tried rebooting to bootloader which also leads to getting stuck at the Samsung Logo.
When I go into the recovery it comes up with the Android Bot with it's body open and "no command" very quickly, before getting to the system recovery.
The last thing I tried was clearing the cache partition then choosing the 'reboot' option. Again, stuck at the Samsung Logo.
On the system recovery it has "Android System Recovery <3e> LRX21T.G900HXXU1BOAD" in red at the top.
If possible, I would really like to avoid having to factory reset or flashing a ROM again.
Thanks
Boot to recovery and clear the caches, see if that gets you back in, if not, flash the same stock ROM over the top of that one, you'll only lose root
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried clearing the caches from the recovery and rebooting but it did not help.
How would I go about reflashing the stock rom without a custom recovery? And where would I get the file?
Thanks

Hey. Sorry, I forgot to reply. Your suggestion worked out. Thanks for the help.
I was able to go back then get a custom recovery. Thanks again./
Nice one

XT1575 Reset Loop

After messing up a rom flash somehow (phone was stuck on a gray screen after logo), I used the stock recovery factory reset function, but after doing so my phone is stuck in an 'erase loop'. The phone alternates between the "Erasing..." screen (with the little droid) and the "Bootloader Unlocked" screen.
I can enter the main menu for recovery mode, but if I try to go into the actual recovery mode (where you can wipe and install from sd/adb) the loop starts up again. I haven't seen this issue mentioned many other places, but the one forum I did find (for a different phone) just said to wait it out (20+ hours).
I was wondering if anyone else had ever encountered this, or if anyone had any suggestions for me.

Try flashing TWRP recovery image using fastboot. I presume you have bootloader unlock otherwise you wouldn't ended up in this mess in first place.
First reboot your phone into the bootloader (POWER+VOL-) from here you can connect your phone to PC and issue fastboot commands.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /path/to/TWRP.img
After that don't reboot the phone , just select from the already present bootloader the Recovery option... And from there try to factory reset !
If that doesn't work, and the phone doesn't boot (bootloops), you might have the /system partition messed up. At this stage get your hand on the latest Stock Firmware for your phone and flash all the system chunks (no data will be lost, but might need to wipe cache after if you get too many Force Closed)
That is for sure if you want to have stock, you could also try and flash using TWRP a custom ROM, that by itself will restore your system partition ( wipe system before flashing to be sure, by going into wipe -> Advanced -> tick System and the two Cache options and Wipe)
Hope I was clear, ask if you need more step-through details!
Thank you very much, flashing TWRP worked!

S5 G900I Recovery Bootloop - Cannot get into any recovery mode?

Hi All,
Got a S5 G900I here that's doing my head in! Stuck in the infamous bootloop at the Samsung logo.
I have been a long time reader of these forums and have prior experience from flashing Samsung phones but this one is driving me mad!
I can put the phone into Download mode without an issue, phone is detected in Odin and I can flash any firmware I try to it (Have tried original 4.4.2 , 5.0 and latest 6.0.1 firmwares from SamMobile). Odin goes through the entire process, reports as "Pass" but then the device goes straight back into the reboot loop and will never fully boot up.
I can also use Odin to push TWRP / CWM / PhilzTouch recoveries, however the device will never boot into the recovery partition. I get the blue "Recovery Booting" message briefly, then the device bootloops again.
Does anyone have any further suggestions to try and get this phone operational again?
I have tried multiple versions of Odin, multiple firmware versions, different computers, different USB cables, different USB ports etc.
I look forward to hearing back from you
Try this :
1. Make sure flash latest recovery with latest ODIN version. Check the official website.
2. Do not let your phone restart after flash recovery with ODIN. Un-check auto reboot on option tab in ODIN. After PASS flash recovery disconnect USB cable then ummm ... I do not know what about your phone .. Mine G900D, I just just pull the battery then I plug it again lol ..: D
3. It should be able to get into recovery after that. If not, it means the recovery type does not match your phone.

Have tried latest stock recovery and latest TWRP recovery using latest ODIN v3.13.1 as well as ODIN v3.09 and v3.10 - No difference whether I uncheck or check auto reboot either
Phone still stuck in a constant reboot loop and never gets to recovery

It is important to turn off the phone right after flash recovery on the download screen. I mean really off rather than reboot. unplug the battery do not turn off with the power button. Because when rebooted, recovery will automatically return to stock .. so the recovery you just installed will be erased again. if stock recovery inside is broken you will get bootloop. if it is done and still can not enter recovery .. huum .. I am afraid if it's a hardware problem .. because it's easier to find a suitable recovery than its firmware. if recovery can not be in flash .... it's a long way to go ..
By the way, sorry for ask .. you release the power button when it says "recovery booting" with blue text.. right ..? while continuing to hold the volume up..?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes when I am booting into recovery mode and can see the blue text "Recovery Booting" in the corner of the screen I let go of the power button - device still boot loops.
Have flashed recovery then removed battery - still cannot get it into recovery.
I have seen some Samsungs have hardware issues with their NAND chips but in these cases there are a lot of errors relating to NAND displayed on the screen when I've seen it be a hardware issue. None of these appear on this phone - convinced it has something to do with software.
I found these threads - exactly the same issue as me, and at the end it says they fixed it by flashing a specific bootloader however I have a G900I and the phone in this thread was a G900F

Have tried countless different versions of ODIN / recovery / stock firmware , including the "service firmware with the separate files G900IDVU1BOE1_CL4826466_QB4839040_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT"

SM-T580 Softbricked, Currently on reboot loop, can't flash any stock firmware

Here's what happened:
1. flashed wrong twrp version for 8.1 oreo, used correct CF-auto root
- tablet booted to stock recovery screen a few times but i figured it was part of the process so I just rebooted
-ended up getting a failed identification verification
-i know the auto root worked because my warranty is void :silly:
2. reset my tablet from the failed verification screen
-eventually got myself to a blue erasing screen loop
-flashed twrp again and got myself to a point where booting into recovery resulted in glitchy lines
3. attempted to factory reset from reboot with adp
-not sure if it worked tbh
-also tried to reboot to recovery screen and that didn't really do anything
4. found and installed the proper version of twrp (3.2.3-4)
-now stuck in feedback loop that occasionally shows the twerp screen so i know something's right
-won't boot to recovery screen but will boot to download page
-doesn't show up in adp devices during this loop
-- have CONTINUOUSLY tried flashing firmware (I've tried 6.0, 7.0?, and 8.1) none of them have worked, sporting some variant of secure check fail (PIT, bootloader, or RADIO)
-- have tried the mod here but it fails after param.bin and i can't use it directly after auto root without rebooting because it gets stuck on setup connection
-- most likely not a hardware problem because i had this tablet for basically a day before i did this to myself
--OEM is unlocked, not that i could change it even if it wasn't
---is there anything that anyone would recommend trying before i take this to geek squad (who may not help me but i'm still going to try) or should i just cry myself to sleep over wasting $300 :crying::crying:

I can boot to download mode but i can't boot to recovery mode after flashing twrp. When I try I just get stuck in a reboot loop, so I can't try to boot to recovery from adp either.

If you can flash twrp then not booting to twrp must be pilot error.
It MUST be done immediately after flashing in odin.
