only 120 mb on /system partiton - Zenfone 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the default /system partition size on ZeonFone 5 and how much is free by default? I get 120 MB is that correct?
Thanks in advance.

I am using Zenfone 6 and once I used to have around 9mb free
But I have manually deleted some of the apps from system partition using es file explorer and now I have 178 mb free
120mb is good I guess, why would you need more free space in system partition?

Thank you kloroform. More questions for you ?
Any idea what all apps are safe to delete in /system/apps /system/priv? Have you been able to odex these?

Your device have to be rooted. The appĀ“s are in /data/app/
yes. is already rooted, but I cant copy any apps from system.... i'm using androidscreencast....
try it with adb
adb pull /data/app/ /your_folder_on_c:/
a simple way is to use the app rootexplorer, there you can copy and paste the files to your sd card
root explorer

[Q] Help with deletion issue?

I am not a big fan of apps2sd (I change SD's a lot) and I needed a free space, so i risked it:
I created a zip file, that deletes some apps and their widgets.
So far no problems but one:
In the add widget list I have two widgets called "false".

ROM space after flashing Android to nannd

Hello
I have noticed that I have maximum of 114 mb of internal (rom storage) after flashing desire rom. Is it normal? How big is this Rom? In WM I remember having about 231 mb phone space ! Check the attached screenshot. Let me know if its just my phone or if It's common.
Thanks

Install "Move2SD Enabler" and it will allow you to move all apps aswell as set default install location to SD card.
I just do not understand why you do have only 114Mb available in your internal memory, is that normal ?

How is this storage situation possible?

The math doesn't seem to add up to me but there could be more to it than I just don't see. Does anybody know why I don't have more free space?

backup your stuff manually and do a complete wipe. I lost some 3GB of storage space somehow but a wipe cleared that up. Loaded the same stuff back on and it was 3GB less than before.
I don't think the storage factors in the system or data partitions, which do count towards your total storage space. Try downloading an app called storage analyser. It gives pretty robust information on all partitions.

Cannot view certain folders with Android File Transfer

Hi guys, trying to get my apps backed up so I can flash a ROM, when I use Rom Toolbox and browse it says I should have an App_Backup folder in my emulated storage folder, but I don't see it, and I cannot go to the root / folder either, does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

Here. On your device's internal sd card. It won't show up until you back up an app using the app mgr.
Accurate MTP usage depends on having an up to date index of all files. You can run a program to force the index to be rebuilt. I used SDrescan with success.
