I had been using ACR but just found out that the recordings it made were all SILENT. ARGH.
Now that I'm on Marshmallow ACR won't work (not that it did before...sigh).
Does the Turbo 2 support call recording?

Call Recorer by skvalex is the SH!T, ive had all the big moto phones in the last 3-4 years except the turbos and its worked perfect even w/o root, same on sammys, but the root requiring recording options are a littler higher quality. but even w/o its awsome

Can you verify that the Skvalex app records the calls while NOT using the microphone? Apps that record calls using the microphone are worthless because the microphone hears all of the ambient noise in the room you're in.

Terrible Call Quality on Speakerphone

Whenever I have a conversation using the speakerphone, the person on the other line complains that the call quality is very bad. Is this happening with any of you as well? I tried calling a friend who has the Nexus 4 as well and I can barely understand anything he's saying.
I'm using a case, but the two microphones are not blocked. I tried the Audio mod by Miszled but it didn't improve the call quality.

Same here. Have not tried the mod probably i try it. The speaker quality during call is bad. I have to decrease the volume to 1 or 2 points for the clarity,
Mines works good with everyone I've talked top using speaker phone.. Running stock rooted 4.2.2

Call Recording

Hi to all.
I like to know something for my general knowledge:
When I used omega rom, I succeed to recording hi-fi (with the built recording) calls without using the speaker of my S3 .
Now I use rootbox and every 3rd apps that I use (and I used a lot) says that my phone does not support recording from the line, just from the speaker.
So I get crappy quality of recording.
What the different between Call Recording that built in roms to Call Recording apps, that make so different quality between the two?
There is any call recording mods for CM/AOKP that similar to the mods for samsung roms?
Thank you very much for Shares your knowledge.
I don't know the answer to your question. I've always used "call recorder" by skvalex and it works great but it needs the ALSA mixer installing on aosp on the s3.
Unfortunately its expensive now. It was cheaper when I bought it.
I'd buy it again. There may be a trial version.
I've never used built in ones. I've only ever used this

Thanks again for your replay.
I checked "call recorder" by skvalex , and he write on the description that the phone need to support recording from the line, and if its not:
"...the recording will most likely proceed from the microphone, not from the line.".
S3 does not support recording from the line, so its likely that I still get a crappy quality of recording, unless you tell me that you succeed to recording hi-fi calls without using the speaker, when you combine "call recorder" by skvalex and "ALSA" mixer.
The settings don't tell me what its doing.
I can't really comment on what you call crappy. Its sufficient for my needs. If you find a trial, try it.

How to record calls?

Hi
Tried ACR trial on my note4 and works great but does not seem to work on S7. Do you happen to know a call recording software that works well on the S7 Edge?
Thx

Try call recording by skyvalex! Google it or search it in playstore

Second Skyvalex! Been using it for a long time now, great app! However on my currently un-rooted S7E the recording is full of echoes but I have only tried the standard API method so far.
Thx for the prompt reply guys, appreciated!
Phil
If you're rooted you can activate the native call recorder by adding this line in /system/csc/others.xml (before </FeatureSet> at the end of the file)
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
It is true you can activate native recording however you have no control over it really. Skyvalex has a myriad of options etc.... the best I have come across as well as cloud support etc...

As I stated above, skyvalex has made the best app for call recording in my humble opinion

Thx! May I ask which version you have? Mine always says something like 'cannot record this call. Restart your phone and if same message appears your phone might not be compliant'...

The latest ACR v. 16.7, which was updated something like a week ago as well as ACR Licence v. 1.5.

what about recording quality?
is it native API for incomming/outgoing voice with no noises or some low quality microphone?

Record yourside using your microphone, the other party shall do the same also! Microphone recording can be very accurate if you use a rooted phone. As far as I know, it's not all about API dependent.

yep, what I meant is that on some phones, where call recording is disabled in software/hardware, you are still able to record a call using some programs, but you almost not hear the person you speak with, because only thing phone records is source from phone microphone.
So when you play recording you hear only yourself and sometimes if it was quite in the room - the other side very silent, impossible to understand what is talking about.
So my question is - is call recording useful and easy to hear/understand everything what was recorded?

Do you have the S7? If so just download one (Skyvalex) from the app store and check it out yourself.....
But in Answer to your question the recording via the native API (NOT rooted) is perfect!
i don't know..
if you know tell me

Skywalex has done a good with his software, try it! But remember, rooted phones always offers more possibilities about phone calls recording.

I don't have S7, I want to buy it this week, but decent call recording is my "must be".
This is why I'm asking people, who owns already this phone if they are satisfied with call recording quality.
You said rooted phones offers more, but if I"m right - there is already root available for S7 (and Edge).

I don't think any app can two way call record unless rooted. I tried in my Moto G 1st Gen to record without root and it never did it. I maybe wrong but just my personal experiences.
Please wait for someone who really has the phone to test it, thanks.
Just Tested on both Outgoing and Incoming calls. Works Pretty good. Was a fan of ACR Premium. Now i can say JIT Call Recorder is pretty good and free. Only caveat - Wish it had a Google Drive Backup!!

Hi..
It's a request can you pls. try recording call with earphones/headphones connected and tell me whether this app then records the calls or not?
Also, is there an option in this JIT Call recorder to directly save the recordings in the external sd card?
I am using Moto X Play and I use androrec named app for recording calls (non rooted phone). Works fine but doesn't record with the headphones connected. So, I am planning to buy Moto G4 Plus but only wish to confirm this recording with headphones thing because I am in a certain need of this..
Kindly help me bro by checking the call recording with the headphones connected..
Thanks!
anyone?

Imho u can't even do any kind of 2-way recording without rooting on moto phones. Anyways if moto guys bring out an update for the heating issue, i will flash the stock rom. Will surely test then if no one else does before that...

Automatic Call Recorder, was working fine with bi-directional recording, until I update my phone.
Trying this app, but it's challenging. Although it works, it takes forever to open with root enabled.
so I have to set it up, and disable SU for it whenever I want to playback.

call recording

Was wondering if anyone found a good call recording app for the Moto z force. Had call recorder pro on my Samsung gs6, which worked great, no so much on the Moto z force. Any ideas on a good app.
Total Recall. No root required, and has multiple methods of recording the call. It's free for limited use, but the couple of dollars a month are well, well worth the features.
I use it all of the time. Auto record and auto upload after call.

I'm using Drupe contacts app atm. Gives me the quick opt-in to record any call via in screen pop-up button. I'm gonna look up total recall as well.
