Do you have CM Profile Network Type Switch issue? - Zuk Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I can't use the integrated CM Profiles to switch network type from 2G only to 2G/3G (or 2G/3G/LTE). It works to go to 2G though.
This is apparently affecting tasker and a great app like Toggle Network Type 5.0 (2G, 3G, LTE).
Anyone else?
ZUK Z1
Cyanogen OS 12.1 - YOG4PAS3OH
1.1.6.0
SuperSU Pro (CM) v2.46

I opened a ticket in Jira: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/ZUK-15?filter=-2

I'm also facing the same problem with network not working properly sometimes no signal at all..

Thanks for feedback.
My Network performance is perfect. I have no issue at all and the Z1 is better than most of flagship I had in the past years.
My problem is related to the switch in between network types (2G, 2G/3G, 2G/3G/LTE) via CM profiles or 3rd party apps.

Experiencing problem in all roms apart from OOS

Hi All
I am having a problem with network dropping. Network will switch to roaming network and it is NOT possible to manually select my own network. Have been experiencing this for months on CM13 / 14 PA etc. All the same issue.
Anyone have any guidance or resolutions?
Thanks

Network Switcher App

Hello, I'm searching for a working (root) App that switches the network mode, for example to 3G or LTE only. ZTE has only limited options in Stock settings... I live in a town Where 3g and LTE are possible but the axon does not switch the network Mode from 2G up really quick. And 2G is a pain here.
Thank you!
This one should work, but it is not free unfortunately. I know for a fact that it works on my Nexus 5X and 6 with Android 7.1.

Edit: I just tried to use this on my Axon 7 and had no luck...so my apologies for mentioning this app as it doesn't seem to work for this device, at least on Stock. Also, ZTE seems to have screwed the pooch on the Testing Menu mentioned below - almost all of the various network types have been disabled from use it seems, aside from GSM only, Global auto, and LTE/CDMA/UMTS auto (PRL). On my Verizon SIM I also can't force 1X only...nor EvDO only (though admittedly this wouldn't be of much use anyway). Kind of annoying that ZTE has done this.
*#*#4636#*#* in the dialer does the same thing. Works in both stock and los.

Switching between 4G/3G/2G

I often manually switch between different network modes and from the most recent MIUI 11 regular channel EU update for the Note 7, I've started noticing that sometimes it won't switch from a slower network (2G or 3G) to 4G unless I restart the phone. That's getting a bit annoying. Have any of you experienced the same issue?

One Plus Five LOS 19.1 LTE Stopped working

I'm running the latest nightly build of LOS 19.1 on my One Plus Five. Suddenly, after years using LTE with no problems, today, I can no longer make LTE connections. This happens when out and about and also at home, where I have solid LTE coverage. Also, my wife's iPhone using the same T-Mobile account makes LTE connections when next to mine. The One Plus 5 reports an Edge connection, but now and then it reports LTE just briefly. I verified my cell carrier account has no issues.
I downloaded the stock OOS 10.0.1 firmware+radio zip package and flashed it via adb sideload. That succeeded, but it didn't help. APN and preferred Network settings are correct, I think (same was what always worked), so I'm wondering if I have a hardware problem.
Is there a way I can verify that the radio hardware is causing the problem? I have the LTE Discovery App, but I'm not informed sufficiently to know how to make sense of all the advanced data. Are there other modems I can try flashing?
I discovered the source of the problem. I had set Private VPMn from Automatic to Off when dealing with a problem connecting to hotel wifi. I didn't realize that would make the phone unable to connect to LTE, but apparently, it did.
