Why there are no custom roms for this device - Galaxy E5, E7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have been searching for a custom rom for my phone "E5 E500H" and didn't find anything... even my s3 neo has a lot of roms can anybody answer my question ?

I guess that it's probably not that popular in some areas. On top of that, Samsung has too many models produced.

at least they can make it for the H variant it's the most popular and i really want cyanogenmod and the new version of touchwiz roms ...

Looks like now we have a good news!

Upcoming S4 Nexus stock ROM to be backward compatible on existing I9505?

Do you guys expect the stock JB ROM for the upcoming Nexus flavor of the S4 to be backward compatible for existing I9505? That would enable us to get a pure JB experience on our I9505 on a relatively "official" ROM? Presumably this would be stabler/less buggy (wifi, BT, LTE bugs etc) than existing CM10-based custom ROMs? If so, hopefully this will give our resident devs a more resilient base ROM to develop off of.
Look fwd to hearing your thoughts...
It'll be good to get the stock android experience, like one of those inside a Nexus device.

I expect this will allow hybrid ROMs to be built AOSP/Touchwiz

right. do you think the stock ROM on those "pure" S4s would be usable on our existing I9505s?

Most certainly, in one way or another. The Google edition will be called GT-I9505G

Probably yes assuming they have the same chipset/hardware. Just look at att/verizon being able to flash i9505 roms. How I love the beauty of open source drivers.
Oh and mate this thread belongs to the general section

the answer is, probably, yes.
notice how the new S4 nexus has the exact SAME SPECS as the i9505 has. (same screen, cpu, gpu, 4LTE.. every single Component is the same as i9505)
that is why i believe roms for the new s4 nexus, will be ok
I'm just waiting for this to be confirmed so I can buy my i9505

Ubunto touch on the I9505 ?

Hey guys,
Been looking on google and here on the forums and found nothing to be honest.
So does any one know if such thing exist and if not will any one take up the glove and start it ?
Ubunto looks very good and it could be awsome on the s4.
(iam not a developer and no understand if it , there for i cant start the thing myself.)
Thanks all.
It was only released for nexus phones.
I is abismal to use. No apps at all

So any one have an answer for this ?
some thing ?
GR36 did answer. Nexus devices have the most complete builds, yet they're still lacking in a lot of areas.
Some people have been trying to get Ubuntu working on other devices (One X, for example), but as these seem to be dev builds, they're far from being a daily driver.
We'll just have to wait a little longer for when they release something a bit more stable before we see anything.

I see , so basically just forget it for now :/
well thanks.
i tHiNk u must b aware about new linux kernel is announced and it was supported Big.small cores. means i9500. Also ubuntu touch will use that kernel as per rumors. so i can say, yes for i9500. but no clue about i9505. May b i9505 will get at earliest.
Thanks,

Simpele question

Hello everybody.
The GS4 is my first Android device ever and im trying really hard to understand more and more of this awesome OS.
Howevwr, at thos point i am using CM10.2 on the gt-i9505 Intl version.
Because this is my first device, i absolutely do not know what roms on previous devices where extremely popular and good.
So my question is, besides the roms that are already available, does someone know if there are coming amazing roms that where also available on previous devices to thuis GS4 beauty. I mean, roms that where extremely popular?
I read something about "neat" ROM was a very popular one on a previous device. But i dont know why it was popular and if this is coming to sg4 also.
Thanks in advance.

Sick of Stock Rom

I've been running on the stock rooted version of my Note 2 for well over a year now. I'm done with it. Been really buggy as of late.
I'm curious what recommendations people have for a good rom that's uses touch whiz and still maintains most of the same functionality of the stock rom.
I used to flash different roms on my S1 and S2. I fell out of the loop due to not wanting to run things that weren't stable.
Ideally I'd like to be able to restore my data through the all in one tool that I just backed up my data through. Any advice would be great, in general I'm extremely confused as to which direction to go at this point.

AOSP for our device?

Something really strange and annoying that up till now there's no AOSP for our devices..... Are there any updates... Because I can't wait to see pure Android experience on our devices

First ; Upcoming devices
Our maintainers are working on all of the new flagships, including the new HTC One, S5, Note 3 Exynos and the Oppo Find 7a. More immediately, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Wifi (mondrianwifi) and Xperia SP (huashan) are near ready for nightly support. We’ll do a post on our G+ account when these nightlies kick off officially. this tread has been wrote on Last Week in CyanogenMod at 28th of April. I mean we have to wait a lil more.
Second ; you are in wrong section my friend you have to move that on Q/A.
Respect
It is strange for this widespread international flagship vesion to not having AOSP. Despite S4 exynos had AOSP

Because developers not interest exynos 5 based ...
S4 exynos version has lot of ROMS that shows irrespective of make they develop. But note 3 is costlier than S4. So, adoption rate is lesser.

AOSP will be great for Note III but i think we will lose the S-Pen features.

Yes you will lose all Samsung features since they don't exist in AOSP Code.

Is anyone active in porting AOSP ? I don't think CM has made any progress on the exynos version.

If that's the case, we can try to build it ourselves. People who want to help please reply.
Even Miui thread had gone cold.
Today I saw COLOR OS ported on note 2.. looked amazing. Sad note 3 exynos has very few developers.
