Just read on the OPX forums that if you take the OTA when you get the phone it will stop you from being able to use the memory card. It's a software issue and OnePlus are looking into it.

Yeah apparently it breaks SD card compatibility.
I heard the same.
It didn't break it for everyone tho.
Alot of people updated and the SDcard is still working.

And be sure to do it before you root (or flash TWRP) as it won't update afterwards.

I am aware of this my friend, don't think I'll be rooted yet. Want to update and just use the device for a bit stock.

Before update check out the storage options and see if the sd card is showing there .
Also install couple of apps and try to move them to sd card .
Then try the same after the OTA .
According to me after OTA the sd card is just recognised like OTG ... Shows in File Manager, Play Music also shows songs present in sd card, but then you can't move the apps from system memory to sd-card after update .
Just check it out and let everyone know, that way people can decide whether to do first OTA or wait for the next one . . .
Well, i had the phone for a day without making the ota and the phone was slow, laggy, not nice to use. I did the ota and everything is now so smooth, you better do it. I've got an sd card, and it's working fine, i don't know where these rumors come from
Well it looks like 32GB or below are working, i tried 64 GB i can read and write via ES but i cant transfer installed apps/games as it says not enough storage.
PS: This is before OTA system running stock 2.1.0
I did the ota and everything seems OK.
There was an announcement on OP forums that a fix is coming in the next OTA.

What memory card are you using? My OPX isn't detecting my SD card but then again it didn't before the OTA: I'm using a Kingston class 10. At least they've acknowledged it's an issue

Samsung EVO is the one I'm using.
Yeah OP defo know about the issue so a fix is coming!

The card works, just doesn't show up in system. You can still access it for music and with file browsers

My one is not shown. I have a samsung evo 64gb. With ES explorer doesn't appear. Music I don't know cause is empty.

Hi,
I just purchased the S4. I read that a samsung recently updated and allowed to move to apps. (funny that it wasn't to begin with...).
For some reason , even though my phone software is up to date, I don't have the "move to SD card" option under my apps settings...no matter which app I try to check and move...I just don't have this button there. Can someone help? Is it not available for sprint S4 yet?

Got it as well. Was around 14 MB and said it brought battery optimizations and a Google update.
This small update corrupted my 64GB SD card, lost all my files on it.. At least I was able do format it.

Upgraded from 10e to 10g, The root is still there right after upgrade. No need to reroot.

I've been using the V10g version for about a month now because I'm in Korea.. Everything works great.. not much of a lag but I've seen that a few important shortcuts have been missing.. Especially "Videos" shortcut and "Albums" widget .. I got the Video shortcut from a Vietnamese OP, so please search and thank them

Just install as a normal .apk ( using Easy installer.. or any of your choice ) .. reboot ( if necessary ) .. you should see the "Video" shortcut in your apps menu... Same goes for the Albums Widget

Can confirm, all downloaded and installing now. Took some quick keyboard work at work to use fastboot and flash back entirely to stock (recovery included) while signing up for the beta. Popped up instantly.
is this the new one ? or this is still the old beta ?
Installing also, looks that this is final build with changelog

I was rooted with Magisk. I disabled root from the Magisk Manager and installed the OTA update. I lost root but gained Nougat.

If you are rooted with Systemless SuperSu you can still download the OTA as usual then install it with the Flashfire app rather than installing from the prompt. Worked for me anyway.
how do i upgrade from purenexus while keeping TWRP and leaving my file system decrypted? I don't mind wiping my data.

All files are alive after this upgrade. In my case
So, just tried to upgrade.
After half an hour of downloading and updating, it reached the point where the phone restarted itself, but all I saw is an open-android icon with a message "Error!" :/
Simply restarted the phone and back to 6.0.1. Unfortunately.

On their forum, you would think that it's bricking/breaking every phone it touches. Is this true? Are people updating to it OK? (Is it worth updating to it?)
Is there any tips to make it work? (Does OTA work less well than updating via USB?)

The question was: is the update via ota working (brick and that stuff) not about problems with the performance.
Update via ota is working without problems, the performance problems are on the Other Hand.

I just did an USB update, took the SD (and SIM) card out.
Worked perfectly, but took a minute or two before it was finished booting. (Not a fault, it's just important to be patient - don't switch it off because you think the process has failed!)
I'm exchanging it for another P9000 (the touchscreen isn't sensitive enough, even without a screen protector).
Pretty annoying that thing was announced over 7 months ago.
Not from AT&T.. Samsung is releasing it January 17th officially. The best thing we can hope for is for someone to get their hands on the 930U version so we can flash it to our phones.
The Verizon beta for Nougat works great on At&t phones. Give it a try if you'd like.
All the beta guys are getting otas to final now, we'll probably see the 930u nougat files before att drops, but it's speculated after the 17th.

Should be fine. I would try the external sd method first, it should just flash like normal. It's an official update so it doesn't matter what you have now it's gonna wipe everything anyways.

I have successfully flashed via external sd method. I have had no issues or bugs that I have noticed so far. Been running for a few days now. I will say if you flash it make a backup of your internal SD card and all your apps. It does completely wipe your phone. I lost all my stuff on my internal SD because I got excited and didn't think, Its been a while since I have flashed anything manually on any of my phones. Lucky for me I had all my pictures backed up to Google Photos and all my other files were on my external SD card.
