[STOCK][FIRMWARE] Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 - All Variants - Onetouch Idol 3 General

Hi everybody,
The Idol 3 community defenitly lack developper supports. How can developpement begin without stock dumps and ramdisk ?
We have he very great index made by @DallasCZ here.
To make a dump, all we need is an uploaded TWRP Backup of your firmware. Here is what I got so far
6045Y - Android 5.0.2 - LRX22G
6045Y_05_LRX22G.tar.xz
6045Y_05_LRX22G_RAMDISK.tar.xz
6045Y_06_LRX22G.tar.xz
6045Y_06_LRX22G_RAMDISK.tar.xz
I hope that some of you will help me complete this thread with the other firmwares, for the other variants...
Cheers

Why don't you use the thread that's already been done?

Here it's about firmware dump not version tracking
Edit : sorry I didn't saw it, are this firmwares unpacked in flashable zips?

They are full Time datestamp directory TWRP backups zipped up with system image and in all the most recent also boot. ie /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/<someid>/This level zipped.

As the directions in the thread indicate and as I have stated, they are TWRP backups from each of the models which is what you ASKED for in post #1. No they are not flashable zip's because alcatel has never released any flashable zips that were not just a bunch of patches.

Yeah but... That's why the community is made for. Make flashable zips from it, with pre-built gapps, updated Alcatel apps, deodex firmware, source built kernel...
And that's also why this thread is made for.

@h2o64: can you post stock recovery(s) to ? it could be usefull.

Idol 3 6039K stock firmware
The thread that framewolf is referring to seems to be intended only for the Idol3 5.5" (6045 models).
I made a TWRP backup of the Idol3 4.7" 6039K (Dual Sim) stock firmware version 5.0.2-01006. The TWRP backup was made using TWRP image from this thread.
The backup contains Boot + System Image, and can be downloaded from here: Idol347_6039K_TWRP_5.0.2-01006_STOCK.7z.

here backup from twrp, boot + system image, from alcatel idol 3 6039h (single sim), android version 5.0.2-010 06
Code:
http://pc.cd/CTartalK

I need a stock rom or back up from TWRP for 6039y.

I didn't get this thread... famewolf allready started same thread. And we can't get stock firmware untill Alcatel release one. Till then we only have TWRP backups.

If you want to revert to Stock ROM for your 6039Y you can use the program "Mobile Upgrade Q". This is software released by TCL (the manufacturer of Alcatel phones). This software wipes the internal memory of your phone and downloads and installs the latest stock firmware including stock recovery.
Latest version of Mobile Upgrade Q is 4.9.2. Download link can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/general/idol-3-mobile-upgrade-app-download-t3182517
Notes:
1) Mobile Upgrade Q completely wipes the internal memory of your phone (including internal SD-Card called sdcard0). After using this program your phone is reset to factory default settings (as bought new in the box) and you need to set it up from scratch. So before using this program make a backup of information / files you want to keep.
2) Downloading the stock firmware from the server can take a long time, because the server that is used by TCL has only limited bandwidth. Last time that I used this program the download speed was only something like 20kB/s and it took more than 6 hours before the firmware was downloaded.
EDIT: See this thread for instructions how to use Mobile Upgrade Q.

[Modems] Modem files for CWM and Odin

Hello friends,
as some of you will know, modem is that part of rom which is responsible for network communications. When people install custom roms, they are stuck on the modems which are included in the roms and i've seen many people asking how to change the modem to their locale. Below is the list of some modem files. I'll try to update the list as much as I can. Instructions on how to install will also follow soon.
Post 1- List of Modem files by country, version number and release date. You can decide what modem is best for you.
Post 2- Links of CWM flashable modem files.
Post 3- Links of Odin flashable modem files.

I'm trying to CWM flash DDJV7 on my old I9000 after a clean install of the latest CM11 snapshot & it failed, though the status was 0.
Just wanted to know if it's compatible with this CM version before I try to mess more with it?
If it is compatible, I'll try & capture a log of the failure next time I try it.
Current baseband is XXJVT which is the default from that ROM but I'm facing call drop & disconnection issues on long calls with this modem.
Wanted to try out DDJV7 since that was the last that Samsung provided for India on the I9000.
Understand that this is a very old thread but my issue is relevant to this thread to trying here 1st.
Thanks!
No, these files are old and were meant for cm 9, etc. CM11 is quiet different.

It worked! I dirty-flashed the .zip & it installed successfully.
The immediate change I observed was the stable full signal bars with signal fluctuations around -75dBm (screenshots attached).
With XXJVT the signal used to fluctuate a lot & around 85 - 90 dBm, sometimes remaining above -100 dBm.
So prima facie it looks like a definite improvement in the past 2 days. Will keep observing & report back in the next 3 - 4 weeks including call quality & battery performance (not much info available about DDJV7 it seems).
Also planning to do a clean install of everything this week (hopefully) & see how it goes (with a "de-bloated" CM11).

Convert to ZUI 2.0

Hi,
I saw the chinese threads regarding ZUI 2.0 and it was really confusing to understand what to download, what tool to use.
The existing threads are outdated or contain the rom.
I want the details to specifically install official ZUI 2.0 with download links and the QPST tool process. I am currently running CM 13.1 with TWRP Recovery.
Thank you.

Hello There!
Hey Bro,
I have tried this on my ZUK Z1 earlier. (ZUI 2.0.80 ST) Via TWRP it flashed properly works fine but when i'm trying to restore my CM13 Backup it always gave me error. And i have to format the data partition as well and install CM13 all over again always i have tried 2-3 times every time everything gone. Do you have any solution. I want to use ZUI 2.0 but i come back often to CM13 as well.
Thanks in advance!

Yes you are right. OTA didn't work. I have already tried. OTA failed with no network error. Try to download 2.1.049 from Chinese forum and search how to root. Kingroot is not safe for rooting I think. I red some were. But didn't search more about it.

ZUI and CM both are different. So I don't think that restoring data from CM to ZUI or from ZUI to CM will work. I flashed ZUI 2.0 and tried to restore apps with Titanium Backup. But it didn't work.
For me few issues with ZUI. Can't sync Google contacts, and Titanium Backup didn't work. I am using CM13 now.

Nxt-l29 kangvip b580

hello;
any news about kangvip nougat b580 rom?
I'm dying for kangvip tools.
Here is the Chinese page, you may want to let a Chrome or Firefox extension translate in your language, I put English underneath http://club.huawei.com/thread-12001946-1-1.html
I downloaded from China and uploaded on mega here https://mega.nz/#!opZyxDTY!AJWdPom2cZa0TXCQDiy9ZqTysRWWK3VcFd7wmzAHoLE
I hope someone can use it. I love KangVip versions but currently I have B577 rooted and YeloPlay (Belgian cable watch app) works this way (I tried many hours to get it work with root in many ways) so I only return to KangVip after I cannot watch TV anymore due to an update of the app.

no you must be on nougat first, update your system to nougat b563 or b560 then flash kang with this recovery_CN, you can flash recovery by extracting file zip then run script "RUN.bat" from PC then choose no 1, or extract file zip then copy twrp.img and flash it from bootloader.
and any questions just go to kang support thread from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/development/rom-kangvip-slim-t3318572
Vip b580 works just fine. Some of the kvip tools are missing or broken but works good , more options than previous builds

Need Help Rooting (solved)

Hello XDA,
I have been using Samsung phones all my life , Rooted (odin) a lotta phones installed countless custom roms and finally i thought its time for pure android experience . I bought a moto g4 plus from a friend of mine and have been going through the g4 + forum for 2 days now . I have not got the slightest of idea how you root / install custom rom on this device . Its so different from how you do it on a Samsung device so finally I have decided to ask for your help .
Info I would like to share :
1.The boot loader is locked
2.The device is a XT1643
3. 3 GB / 32 GB
4. December 1 , 2017 security patch
5. NPJS25.93-14-13
6. There was a OTA update when I received the phone which I didn't update
As mentioned earlier It looks like I am a complete noob when it comes to this device and I would need all the possible help I can get .
If anybody would be kind enough to guide me through this initial learning phase I will be very grateful and would even share my whisky ( which I usually don't do )
If you need any more information please ask
Thanks and Regards

Get the TWRP image file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...p-twrp-3-0-2-2-recovery-moto-g4-plus-t3386586
Next, get the adb and mfastboot from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5jlU9JnLAZGbVU0UzJ3N3p4X2M/view?usp=sharing
Unzip the file and place the image file inside the extracted folder.
Reboot to Bootloader (power off, then press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously).
Open a new command prompt or terminal window and do the following:
Code:
mfastboot flash recovery twrp_*version*_athene.img

Sorry for being so short earlier. We have quite a few members here who constantly post issues without using the search function.
You can try to post I quoted above to flash TWRP. It's fairly straight forward.
Are you planning on flashing a Nougat ROM or are you going the adventurous route and flashing an Oreo ROM? The TWRP version mentioned in the quoted post should be fine for flashing Nougat and 32-bit based Oreo ROMs, but you'll need 64-bit TWRP for 64-bit Oreo ROMs.
Use this as a reference for 32-bit and 64-bit Oreo ROMs: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/oreo-roms-table-t3717226
64-bit TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...recovery-twrp-3-2-1-unofficial-touch-t3722206
Once you've flashed TWRP, you can either flash different versions through TWRP itself or through the Play Store app.
As far as ROMs, I'd recommend Official Lineage OS 14.1 for Nougat: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-cyanogenmod-14-1-t3522101
And I'd recommend Official AICP 13.1 for Oreo: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...om-aicp-13-1-o-8-1-0-official-weekly-t3731269 (You'll need to download the 20180212 build since most recent builds either have a broken camera or won't boot.)
Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

2.a Take a backup
3. Flash a custom kernel through twrp
4. Flash Super Su / Magisk
5. Flash a 64 bit version of twrp using TWRP

If you want 64bit Oreo roms it's a little bit different
1. Unlock the bootloader
2. Flash a 64 bit version of twrp
2.a Take a backup and safe it off your phone
3. Flash a Oreo 64bit custom ROM
3.a flash gapps package arm64 (8.0 or 8.1 depending on rom version)
4. Flash magisk 15.3
If you want to root the stock nougat rom steps 1-4 of your list are correct.

Not quite. You'll want to go in this order:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash TWRP
3. Backup
4. Wipe (Wipe/Advanced Wipe; ART/Dalvik, System, Data, Cache)
5. Flash ROM
6. Flash Gapps
7. Reboot
8. Go through setup wizard and let everything settle for ~10 minutes
9. Boot into TWRP and flash SuperSU or Magisk (I would suggest Magisk), then flash kernel and reboot
You'll need to flash the unofficial 64-bit TWRP mentioned in my previous post to flash a 64-bit Oreo ROM, otherwise you'll get an error message when flashing ROM.
You'll also need to use unofficial Gapps since there aren't any official Gapps for 8.1 just yet. I'd recommend either mini or micro here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/unofficial-opengapps-8-1/files/arm64/20180225/
You should be able to flash the most recent Magisk located here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/beta-magisk-v13-0-0980cb6-t3618589
If you do flash a custom kernel, I'd highly suggest Frostbitten: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...s-frostbitten-kernel-moto-g4-g4-plus-t3649155

If it was an OTA update, it looks likely to be more the February 2018 security patch rather than the January 2018 patch.

That is true, however for our devices we have generally been issued the same security patch level regardless of region. It may be different builds for particular regions (e.g NPJS25.93-14-13 for India, Brazil and EU, and NPJ25.93-14.7-3 for US) but they are both the December 2017 security patch.
Regardless, we've still yet to see an OTA newer than December.

Evening ,
Thanks For all the support i finally rooted MY phone
But
I ran into a bit of a problem " Sim Cards Not Detecting "
This is What i did
1. Unlocked My bootloader
2. flashed twrp-3.1.1-athene_shreps
3. Took a backup of everything
4. flashed ElementalX-G4-2.00.zip
5. flashed Magisk 16.0
reboot : No sim cards detected
After which I flashed lineage-14.1-20180219-nightly-athene-signed.zip and the gapps provided
experienced the same error again .
uninstalled magisk and flashed the latest Super Su (V2.82) with no positive results
not sure what went wrong ...is there any way out of it ?

First, I'm a little confused about the fact that you flashed that version of TWRP instead of the one located here: https://dl.twrp.me/athene/
Second, I've never had that happen when flashing, so I'm not really sure what to recommend. If I had to guess, I would say the best route would be to restore your backup and see if the SIM is detected.
I have found at least one thread with a similar issue; might be worth a look: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/fix-sim-card-issue-t3751679
Let us know what happens.

I went through that before posting my question .. the paper does not help .
Is it okey if I flash the twrp that you have mentioned over the existing twrp?
Thanks and regards
DW
Edit : I have restored my backup but still the same issue.
Edit : flashed the official TWRP . still the same results
EDIT : After 3 hours + Countless reboots the issue solved on its own ... I am not sure what really happened.. lol
Thanks for the Support

"B2017GV1.2.0B13" EU stock TWRP flashable ZIP ?

I have a problem with Lineage 14, a lot of ghost touch and problems with Nova launcher.Since I'm a stupid and didn't TWRP BEFORE installing Lineage, and since I was lucky with a "casual" driver install (as said in another post, tulip worked only after I installed a Lenovo Qualcomm drivers), in a nutshell, does somebody has "B2017GV1.2.0B13" EU stock flashable ZIP to avoid to reinstall TWRP? Maybe can someone make a backup of his stock clean B13 system with TWRP and share? Thank you very much!
Mod Edit: rude quote removed
I trust in mods, I know that IF this could be the wrong section they will move it.In the meanwhile I got a "thank you" in less that 24 hours from the post so maybe I wasn't that stupid posting here and other people are looking for the same in the same section...
Yes, your question belonged in the "Q & A" section (I moved it to the correct section).
And yes, it is rude and a violation of Forum Rules to insult other users. The currently is no rule stating you can't call yourself stupid, but there is a rule saying you can't call someone else stupid.
Before pointing out the rules to other users, make sure that you are following all the rules as well.
If there is ever any doubt about what gets posted where, or what is considered a violation of the rules, EVERY section has the rules listed at the top.

I'm not sure I correctly understand what you need - but does the zip offered on
Code:
https://www.ztemobile.de/support/downloads/?product_id=2344
when you click on "Software Update Android 7.1 Nougat B13" help you?
I'd love to do a backup myself but I currently can't get TWRP installed, sorry.

Thank you, but as said I was so randomly lucky installing TWRP -due to some driver issues- that I need someone that could make a nandroid backup with TWRP otherwise those official update files will erase my actual TWRP recovery
Anyhow, the Lineage 14 guy is allready working on lineage 15, so maybe I will whait and try the new lineage, maybe in the meanwile I will try other roms.
Actually I don't know if it's the lineage 14 problem bounded to my hardware, I had not this problem before installing it, maybe those ghost touch will remain even after flashing a nandroid backup of B13.
Anyhow if you ore someone else will install TWRP what I need it's just a nandroid backup (without you apps and you stuff, obviously, hehehe)
Thanky you.

Dear ris, I really appreciate your serch, but if you read the entire thread (4 posts) you'll find that someone else already posted the link and THAT link is to UPGRADE to B13 with the official recovery, is not a .ZIP flashable with TWRP recovery.
I think I was pretty clear in the thread title.
I just need someone with TWRP that can make a nandroid backup of a clear B13 and post it, so I can flash it back with TWRP.
Thank you for trying anyway, but it looks like I'm not able to explain myself or pople tht have Axon 7 Mini are new to TWRP and nandroid backup
In the stock thread they removed the stock recovery link since is very dangerous (?) so I can't even come back to stock AXON 7 mini with that file
Ok flashed B12 EU from other thread and the missing recovery.img (removed since dangerous) was flashed with twrp from the B13 upgrade.Than the phone was stuck at ZTE start logo, I update with SD and recovery to B13 and everything went fine, no more ghost touch, I'm afraid is due to TWRP or magisk, since now that is 100% stock I have no more problems! Wil try to root with tulip and patched boot from magisk, let's see is the problem is the root or the TWRP in European version from g&arbest so OP, you can close the thread, and thank to people who try to help!

Do you by any chance still have a copy of that update? All ZTE update sites are down. I really need to flash a stock rom and can't find one. B12 will do the trick too...
