Installation sequence:
1) Enter the download mode and install firmware 5.1.1 through Odin. To reboot and enter the Lollipop everything is working;
2) Again in download mode, install the modified kernel (Kernel.tar) via Odin (use AP or PDA, depending on the version of Odin) and reboot;
3) Again in download mode, install TWRP via Odin and reboot;
4) Save "BETA-SuperSU-v2.50.zip" to SDCARD (internal or external);
5) Reboot into Recovery mode (TWRP) and install "BETA-SuperSU-v2.50.zip";
6) Restart and will be with root.
Note: Those who do not allow write to the SDCARD with Lollipop 5.1.1, install the program " FolderMount" after root and run the first time he will ask to start and fix this problem

You don't need any custom kernel if you install TWRP and flash SuperSU directly! After flashing TWRP your warranty counter was tripped!
Negative! I beg to differ friend, I have tested before with the original kernel and TWRP but not working. You can only root with the same kernel modified.

on 5.1.1 installing SU without a custom kernel will cause an infinity boot screen
i tried it on the s6 and the s5 mini
On my Note Pro 12.2 this is not a problem (with CM12.1 and Pac ROM), also on my HTC One mini 2. Did you used your Beta version or the official Release?

I forget to mention that only TW roms required a kernel to get a working SU
if you dont believe me go and try it yourself and you'll have an infinity boot screen : )
as for SU only 2.50 support TW 5.1.1

I have a rooted Note Pro 12.2, thats enough and it is only rooted, because I have to change the resolution and DPI to use it with a external Full-HD monitor.

TW roms=Touchwiz=Samsung stock roms
as for cm12 it has a built in custome kernel so SU works
and calm down ._. nothing to be angry for .-.
But 2.46 works on 5.1.1! Don't use Betas if you don't know what you do and do not post it as Guide for users that not have the needed knowledge!

its just as i said before ONLY 2.50 WORKS ON TW 5.1.1 2.46 WILL BRICK THE DEVICE IVE ALREADY TRIED IT OUT AND HAD TO RE-INSTALL THE WHOLE ROM AGAIN

Another ROM you say? I've tried all the Acer-based 3.1 custom ROMs and none of them seem to suit my needs. They seem to add lots more bloatware and tweaks that made my tablet quite unstable.
So I went ahead and built my own ROM which essentially is a pruned-stock standard Acer 3.1 with only the barest minimal features to maintain speed and stability of the system. I've also gone ahead and deodexed most all of the frameworks and apps so feel free to mod this rom to add custom skins and animations if you so please. I'm sharing my work in the hope that you will find it useful.

Thanks for this ROM. I had been deleting apps I did not want but could not get past the Vendor subdirectory. This is now my daily ROM.

Sorry if Superuser isn't working for you. I didn't test the update script for the patch so that might be why. I have however updated the main ROM image in Post 1 to have support for SU.

Yes, I can make a patch that you can apply to your stock ROM to get USB 3G support.
ETA ~ 4-5 hours.

This is weird, I was using p2-2 rom and had it oc'ed at 1540. I have been switching back and fourth between roms to see which is more smooth and stable, Mininmalist 3.1 was the last I tried that I am on now, And this rom is running fast and very stable, I think I'll stay with minimalist.

Hey all! I'm new to XDA. I am looking at the Blu Studio X to use with Straight Talk. I am wanting to know if there is any way you can root the phone, one click (or tap), or if I have to go into my PC and do it. I had a Moto G through Boost Mobile a while back and I didn't know about Kingroot at the time, so I had to use my PC to unlock the bootloader, etc. so I know how to do that kinda stuff. But anyways, I just want to know if I can root my new phone permanently, and if there are any custom ROMs (Like CM12) OR any Custom Recoveries (TWRP or CWM) I would also like to know how to make my own builds. So if anyone is available to teach me how to make my own ROMs or builds for recoveries, message me please. All help is welcome. Feel free to post other questions to this thread also. I don't know if you care anymore, from what I've heard, there is no custom ROM for the Studio X, but someone has made a port of TWRP on the Google + community for BLU Development. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have touch when you boot into TWRP, so I don't know how to move around unless you use TWRP manager or something. You can root with Kingoroot, Kingroot (if you don't want a custom recovery), or Towelroot for some lucky devices. I wish someone made a community for this on XDA because it is such a great phone for the price and design! I'm getting one soon to replace my 1st generation Galaxy Note.

Yes this Rom can work in Greece just follow everything in the Tutorial, and this is the Official Cn/En version of the Rom. If you want Multilanguage(and thats the other Model K50A40 ROW but nevermind they are for the same phone) Follow this Post Tutorial How to install Latest ROW S422/S424 VIA SP FLASH TOOL

The K50A40 comes with Gapps preinstalled is multilanguage and have Vr mode feauture.

You dont need to be rooted and this is also excellent example if your phone get Bricked,stucked in bootloop or something else ...Also note that k50-T5 isn't coming with Gapps pre-installed you need to do that manually (see for more info in the Tutorial section) and have only chinese/english support

First of all flash TWRP from the link you posted and than flash the files through TWRP recovery.

As information this rom is better than original rom multilanguage, it's optimized and have antutu 89.000, it's more actual versión.

Yes, you can search COOLPLAY 6 information on HTC forum. You souldn't to have doubts, COOL 1 = processor 252, PLAY6 = processor253, play6 is improved about cool1
Play 6 can't be rooted because anything developer haven' t developed tools yet. And coolpad don't released codesource.
But some people have been rooted with cool1 method.

Hello everyone,
I have this old Tab 2 10.1 that belongs to my mother and she hasn't used it in a while (Don't know the exact model). I unlocked the boot loader and want to flash it, but I was wondering what's the latest Android it could support. I tried Lineage OS 13.x but it's not good.
Can anyone recommend a ROM I can download for this model? Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by "Best". If latest we have Oreo which is work in progress, but usually people use Marshmallow roms
Will the Oreo ROM work better than Nougat?
I heard someone said the best rom is OmniROM 6 but not tried it yet.

I have read in the oreo rom thread that it's fast and good for playing games though I don't know if it's true. But I can tell you about Nougat roms. Nougat roms, without gapps are lagy, while it's totally opposite in android 6 roms. Take Omnirom for instance. If you install it without gapps, it will be SUPERFAST while if you install it with gapps, it will be as slow as a Nougat rom WITHOUT gapps !!!!!!

Could you tell me that Omni rom can be installed without Gapps?
I install the latest omni_espressowifi-6.0.1-20200624-2120 rom and omni-6.0.1-20161124-espressowifi-FINAL without Gapps and I think the tablet loops trying to boot but I think it never will.

You can install it without gapps. If you do all the necessary wipes (basically follow correct steps), it won't loop.

Hi, I managed to install the omni_espressowifi-6.0.1-20200624-2120 rom without Gapps, let's try it and it looks good.

Hola, creo que sin duda la mejor rom para nuestra tableta GT-P5110 es la Dhollmen 6.0.1 - basada en slim sin Gapps, es bastante estable y fluida.

It would be great if you provide your device model no. so that I can provide you with the roms. Gapps are universal so no problem with that.

As another note, I'd suggest you these roms which I found the best for tab 2.

This is the best as per my experience. Its android 6 and also fast. It is fastest without gapps but if you are going to install some apps, not all of them might function correctly. You can also enable a multiwindow feature built in this rom.

This is another great one and works well. Again, with gapps it's slow (and mostly all roms are)

To be honest, this rom would have been the first in my list but it isn't because it's kitkat (4.4.4) and that means less apps support. It is fast and stable.
I'll also like to tell don't go for android 7 roms. Without gapps they are as slow as android 6 roms with gapps.

I agree with the doc, the most stable and smooth is, by far, the 4.4.4 and the more you go "up" in android versions, the more slow and stable it gets.
So, as he did, I would recommend 4.4.4 or 6.0 roms, depending on the apps you need/want
