Same here, when I try to connect to my Zarafa-Accounts on my QNAP-NAS :crying:
Mail and contact works very well, but calendar is not shown.
My other/older phones, or my Nexus 7 (also with Android 5.1.1) do not have this problem.

Any updates?

No, and communication/information from ZUK is really bad
So I finally send back the ZUK Z1 and buy another phone and now everything works fine.
Unfortunately now I have a smaller battery, less memory, no USB-C but everything else is much better and works as expected.

Well i tried the built-in email app (powered by boxer) and it worked great and synced calendar and contacts too!
Might it be from the server side?

Did you sync an exchange-account (which server?) or any other account (ex. google)?
I have tried it with over 8 devices and in every device calendar-sync with an exchange-account works perfect, only the ZUK Z1 doesn't even recognize the calendar in the exchange-account-settings (only email and contacts).
With a google-account it's no problem.

Yes an exchange account!

But what is really annoying is the fact that our server policy requires a tough security screen lock like pin, password or fingerprint. Remaining optiins aren't possible.
On my note 4 i could chose fingerprint, yet on the zuk the option was greyed out and not available! Very weird! it's like the phone doesn't have a fingerprint!
It's either a poor implementation of the fingerprint where it isn't really incorporated in the system; or the policy/server doesn't support this phone since it's fairly unknown!
In both cases is a big inconvenience so i had to resort to a 3rd party app like cloudmagic to still be able to use the fingerprint!

I tested with accounts in Exchange 2013 and 2010 and the result is the same. No calendar integration. My boxer email app is in version 2.6.3 (241).

On zimbra 8.6 sp 4 is the same. No calendar.

You have to uninstall boxer email and reinstall it via playstore. Also for me the original version of Boxer email didn't permit calendar integration, after this operation everything is Ok.

Awesome! That did the trick. Thanks.

Hey there,
I tried to reinstall Boxer, but I'm still not able to sync my exchange calendar with my Zuk Z1. Can anybody confirm this issue? And even more important: has anybody a clue how to fix that problem? I really need my calendar synced.
Thanks in advance!

I had no issues. On Cyanogen OS using Boxer. Simple set up, using fingerprint security, mail and contacts and calendar app works wonderfully. In fact better than cm12 on my old lg g2.

Am I really the only Person with that problem?I really Need my calendar synched with my zuk z1! Any suggestions what else I could try to make it work?

Exchange files for ZUK Z1
Hello guyzz....
I was also facing the problem since i got the ZUK Z1 then i found the solution to fix the exchange sync problem.
I tried with many apps and boxer as well but no luck, you can download the zip file from the below link.
Just directly go the recovery mode and flash zip.

SGS2 ICS 4.0.3 I9100XLP7 XSE Email sync issue

Hi,
i think there might be some people who had just updated their SGS2 to the latest ICS might face same issue, so i started a thread here.
i will first illustrate what i encounter.
1. i have trying to sync my company email through SGS2 email app, through Microsoft Activesync option.
2. i key in the correct email address password, press on Micorsoft Activesync, the app will link me to key in domain info, email server info, SSL info, etc
3. sync option/setting and sync email/calendar/contacts by default, choose push method to sync.
4. click next and securities is enforced to my phone
5. now the sync is started.
sync of Contacts and Calendar works alright(i have not found any obvious problem so far)..
but i found problem in sync of email. the syncronization is slow(in both 3G and Wifi network). it always sync halfway(eg. choose to sync email for 1 day), and only have maybe 20 emails syncs and it will stop syncing. when press Refresh, it says "connection error(email name)".
i tried to send out email using this email app, it works...
this really puzzle me.. is it that i setup the email wrongly? or there is really some bug in this app??
Note: when i was using Gingerbread, the email app works perfectly, and sync using push method is almost the same pace as my laptop MS Outlook.
please dont flame on me. any suggestions/inputs/experience are welcome.
thanks.

from what i have read in the past few days, its a known issue and i think there isn't a fix for it yet.
Thanks for you comment. Seems like not many people discuss about this. No new thread about this. Hence I open a new thread.

Hi mokkimhong
I'm having the same issue. It works perfectly on WIFI, but as soon as a switch to Cellular it stops working.
I have recreated the Account from scratch using Cellular connection, then it works for a few minutes/hours. Suddenly it will just stop with the same error you are getting.
After that I'm forced to used WIFI only. Very frustrating!!!
Anyone have a fix, please post.
Thanks!

Ya I was in that boat... Set my retrieval size to 100kb and changed my push settings to 5min intervals and all seems fine now. Not the best I know but a decent work-around until this is sorted out.

Hey guys,
There is solution for that active sync problem, just try setting "Size to retrieve emails = 100 kb". Its working for me ...
hi guys, just realised this problem with my SGS II. Running on ICS 4.0.3 and push with full email retrieval isn't working on stock Gmail...
For now sync manually, however noticed that Calendar and Contacts are ok...
I have had the same problem. I'm using ICS 4.0.3 in a Samsung Galaxy 2
Since I'm updated to ICS, I've lost my corporate mails (gmail worked fine).
I've deleted and re-created my account several times. Yesterday, I realized that one more day had been added to my email's list. Current setup established 2 weeks sync and my retrieval size to 100kb
What I did was to set my retrieval size to Total and reduce the sync to only three days. Ta daaaaaaaaaaa. It has been working for two complete days now.
Hope this helps

Google Calendar Sync problem

Does anyone have issues with syncing google calendar on newer Flyme versions as well???
It says syncing, but nothing shows up in calendar.
I'm on version 1.0.3 quad core, syncs fine.
if the sync isn't working try disable/enable the sync or delete the account restart and add account again. after a few times it should work. one user said it worked after he disabled the google recovery feature. i reported this issue to meizu already.

I was just curious if you found a fix for this? I just purchased a Nexus 4 & 10; both sync my email & calendar fine from exchange 2010 - but none of my contacts are being pulled in.
No I didn't find a permanent solution. What I did was download a third party software (think it was touchdown) trial and once my contacts were synced I moved them to phone contacts and un installed the software.

Gotcha, and thanks for the reply! I did something similar; in Outlook I exported all of my contacts to a CSV file, then on the gmail website I went to contacts and imported them and they came through to my phone fine - just fyi if anyone else reads this thread.
Kind of annoying to have to go round about that way; but hopefully it will get fixed in a future update and I can delete all of my work contacts from my personal gmail account.
FYI, I've called google tech support and they've elevated my case to a developer that is supposed to send me an email - I'll post hear if they actually tell me something usefull.
But we shouldn't have to do that though (I mean importing our contacts). We use Exchange in the workplace, and to be honest they wouldn't be happy if I copied the contacts to my personal account. This worked on other Android phones (One S, Nexus S etc) but for some reason just doesn't work on devices with Unified Storage (Nexus 4/7)
I thought the 4.2.2 update would solve this but unfortunately not. It's a shame because the Nexus was supposed to be a solid phone but all it's doing is losing my trust.
Please note that mine is now working after a security update o kosek the exchange server. We use exchange 2007. I can get you the technical details of it might help you.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I noticed that it didn't prompt me to allow device administrator until I exited and reopened email. And it won't let me do anything until that happens. Are you able to send a test email? If you can send email it should grab the contacts automatically. Also obviously check the settings in settings>>account settings>>corporate(or whatever yours is called) and maybe double check the server settings.

Google Can't / Won't Help
From Google Support phone call:
Initially they told me to type my contacts in one at a time into the phone. Then they told me the following.
"We're unable to describe how to setup email on your android device, that's beyond our capabilities. You can go to this site to get information on setting up GMail via IMAP (not what I was asking for). If that isn't what you need there's nothing we can do for you and we'll have to have you return it." ... "Yes you'll be responsible for shipping"
I've been running Android on a variety of devices dating back to 2.2. I've never had any problems syncing my exchange contacts before. This is REALLY annoying.

[Q] configure exchange email

hello
i have encountered the same pb on S3 and now also on the S4. I can not configure the exchange email app. only the mail. how can i do that because it seems to me already that samsung only says that you have exchange email but it doesnt work. wtf?!
Mail exchange works perfectly on Sgs3 and now on sgs4... I use it non stop. Ask your administrator of the mail exchange server settings. You do something wrong with the settings.

Wow .. now that activesync has expired on gmail I need to reinvent my mail syncing on my new s4.
The way I wanted to go about it is that I let gmail sync calendar and contacts and use the native mail client via imap.
Why not use gmail for mails too .. well because I need to set up my work activesync account too .. and I don't want two apps for mails.
First thing I notice is that when I set up imap access to gmail with the native application I get no push functionality (imap idle). The shortest sync frequency is 5 minutes. This is not good enough.
I am now thinking about using the eMail app from CM10.1 .. which served me well on my old device but I really don't want to loose any of these nifty Samsung features (which I may already have lost because I installed swiftkey from playstore .. don't know yet).
Anyone have some tips for me on how to proceed?

That was for "additions," not legacy users. I'm still using GMail ActiveSync with my N2 and Note 10.1 Does anyone know if it's carried-over based on GMail account or only by individual device? For example, if I got a SGS4 would ActiveSync that's currently working on my N2 continue to work on other phones I swap after that?

Yep .. either switch to outlook.com, use a software that can do imap idle (K9Q i guess .. never really got into that) or do it like i do it right now .. live with the 5 minute delay in the standard email client and do the syncing for calendar, contacts etc. via gmail account.
At least this is my solution for today
Actually I'm using a hacked client from CM10.1 .. to not have to enter the PIN so often. The thing is that all Samsung stuff is lost .. like in-mail translations .. this is quite a pity .. I really hope for a security patched version soon. Oh .. to clarify .. the patch is not for my googlemails of course .. but for the other exchange account I have to set up.

AirWatch on Nexus

Hi all,
I am still waiting for my Nexus to arrive and will need AirWatch connect to my employer's Exchange. Does Marshmallow or Huawei have an official agent to allow native email client use without bloody TouchDown?
Thanks.
My company also uses AirWatch. Like the Nexus 6, there is not a native email client outside of adding POP/IMAP/Exchange accounts in Gmail.
I am forced to used the Inbox by AirWatch app which is pretty terrible. Also, when your IT department sets up your phone it requires special permissions on their end to use the app. Make sure you request them.
On the plus side, AirWatch has no problems using the fingerprint scanned as a secure method to unlock your phone.
Happy to help if you have any other questions.

We are apparently going to Airwatch next month... The airwatch client gets terrible reviews and while Touchdown isn't ideal, I've used it before and I can live with it. Did you have to do anything special to get Touchdown to work with Airwatch?
No, we have an automated policy which downloads and configures Touchdown for us. No issues. I just wish Touchdown would integrate into the native calender... The rest is ok.

Same here. Your enterprise should have it set up so that TD more or less configures automatically once you've enrolled the device through AirWatch.
Now, my big question is whether it will continue to work if I'm rooted. I never had a problem in the past, but recently when I upgraded my old rooted Nexus 5 to Android 6.0 and then re-rooted it, I lost the ability to enroll with AirWatch. I'm not sure what happened but I know Airwatch doesn't want your phone to be rooted.

Give Nine Mail a try...much better than touchdown IMO and works with AirWatch. You will need to manually configure the settings (mostly the server address) but its pretty simple.
I tried it before but our corporate policy did not allow the connection. I assume based on the user agent ir similar identification of the mail client.

I have the most recent version of Airwatch and Unwatch Xposed module and I can get passed the root check. My company specifically blocks Nine from working though.
The Nexus 6p has an Exchange email setup built in. See the link below:
http://support.sprint.com/support/t.../WScenario_542_62075_771_en_118-dvc9700001prd
My company also blocks that
So if neither of those work for you, you may be stuck with Touchdown as well.
Update: Aquamail and Boomerang work for me. I'm using Aquamail since it seems to work with Google calendar.

Hi there.
Sorry, could you please clarify how you made Nine work with Airwatch?
My company just enforced Airwatch this month so my Nine client stopped syncing... what would I need to do? The server address I was previously using doesn't seem to be working anymore.
I'm desperate to know this since the "Airwatch Inbox" app is utter crap.
Also, is there any way to get the calendar synced with other app than this "Airwatch Calendar" bull****? I really want to have a homescreen widget showing my upcoming meetings, but I can no longer do that since 3rd party apps can't access my work calendar anymore.
Any help would be really appreciated.

First I used systemless root ...but not a ROM with systemless root included, that failed. Flashed to stock and then systemless rooted. Installed Xposed and then UnWatch. Then Nine, then Airwatch.
My Nine settings are attached below. You want to use your official outlook name email for the domain/user and then insert your company email alias after the awmdm in the server line.
For the calendar I didn't have to do anything other than choose to sync calendar in Nine. Then I added the pure calendar widget and have a scrolling view of all outlook and Google appointments.
I was petrified of flashing the update to the March security update...but it worked. I have not, and will not update airwatch until something breaks.
Hope this helps. If I can answer anything else, Lmk.

Question: the whole flashing and unflashing of everything was just to be able to use root, right?
I'm OK with not having root for now - all I really want is to use Nine instead of this crappy Airwatch Inbox app.
I've checked said Airwatch Inbox app, and the server settings are the same as they were before. So not vmdm.XXXXX.com like in your screenshot, but the same email server we were using before. However that fails in Nine now.
I've also checked the enrollment status in the "Airwatch Agent" app, and ironically it does show vmdm.XXXXX.com in there as the server.
Sounds to me like your company didn't really restrict the use of third party apps maybe?

Good question... I'm not sure how restrictive they are...most of our firm uses IPhones so I was lone wolfing a lot of this. I emailed the developer of Nine and they said it should work without any issues. I also never installed the inbox app...only the airwatch app and just plugged the settings into Nine.
In all honestly though, I don't think I tried nine without being rooted and using the UnWatch xposed module...that may be a requirement. I knew I wanted root so I may have only gone that route.

Yeah I also emailed Nine devs. They told me that IF our AirWatch solution is "based" on Android for Work, I could just install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ninefolders.hd3.work, and it should work.
But I don't even know how to check if they're using Android for Work.
That app just tells me that a configuration file is needed, and I can't enter any login details on it.
I'll keep talking to the devs and I'll try to speak to someone in our IT department as well... ahh the perks of working for a huge multinational company. The person in charge of this probably lives somewhere with an 8 hour time difference with me, and a salary of $3 per hour.
Sigh.
