I am now on Oxygen OS 2.1 and find out shutter speed and focus speed is very slow especially under dim enviroment. It really sucks and makes me hard to record my child. I research for a while and find out the root reason is focus speed is slow. Sometimes you think the camera has completed focus job but it sill keeps finding where the focus point is. I dont if one plus two team will improve focusing speed in the upcoming firmware update or some powerful third party kernel or rom.......
What do u mean root is reason? U mean rooting ur oneplustw two causes shutter speed to be low? If so where did u get this info? Please share the link
Hi I don't mean ROOT cause that..... I just think what causes shutter speed slow is poor focus performance......

Disabling shutter-sound might do the trick... as it did on my iPAQ

I want to know if a cooked ROM like the ones we can see here can enhance the camera quality by speeding up the shutter speed?
I have read that the 2.1 official update will surelly boost the camera too...
Yes it does...much faster making photo capture much more stable...you notice it more when taking pics in dark environment.
Is shutter speed already fixed in newest update?

Secondly, i like the slowmotion capabilities. IS there a app that lets you edit speeds like on the htc one? so you can select wich parts are played in normal speed and wich part is in slow motion?

I went from a Galaxy S2 to S4 Which was a huge improvement on itself and Camera stutter isn't a huge deal for me since it takes half a second or less to focus and take a photo and If you really want to capture alot of photos in a short time, Well there is Burst mode for you!
There is already options for Slow motion speeds (2x, 4x and 8x)
This is my personal opinion and i think the camera is perfectly fine & You give people more time to see your post, Don't be impatient.

Quick question I am hoping Devs can answer... is there anyway to build a camera based on the stock LG UI, but, with the added control of exposure time. Is there a camera app that I can't find that does this already?
I am sure that my SGS3 had quicker exposure times, or just knew how to handle the situations better?

There seems to be a lag/delay on mine as well. I literally can't take a single photo of my kids when they are moving at all. It shoots just fine when taking any sort of landscape shot, but if something is moving at all....the camera is absolutely terrible. I'm getting extremely fed up with the camera on this phone. I don't understand how others aren't complaining about it. Is it just my phone? Should i consider getting a replacement?
I Just switched to a G2 from an Xperia Z and I have to say the shutter speed is rather slow. I Was sitting in a moving train trying to take a picture of a document however the shots turned out blurry due to the shake. Its honestly quite disappointing as this was supposed to be one of the better smartphone cameras and it even has ois to help with handshake. I'm running the latest Paranoid Android for D802 with the camera app from the OnePlus One as it has the best shutter response so far. Is there any ways to improve shutter speed of the camera on an AOSP ROM?
