P8lite Rooted- Had To Factory Reset, Now Apps Don't Work - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Factory Reset after rooting
After rooting my p8lite (ale-l21) and installing TWRP i always get the Message "system storage is getting low". Because oft that i tried to factory reset my phone but i just got stuck in the bootanimation (luckily i made a backup) but now i cant install apps and most oft my installed apps just dont Start anymore! I even tried to flash the stock Firmware (dload folder) but i get an error without any Details. What can i do now?

Did you do something else before rooting?

I unlocked the bootloader.

When does that message pop up?

I solved the Problem, i actually forgot that i tried to installed the xposed-framework but it failed, and it seems like the uninstaller did fail someehow, now i installed the uninstall ZIP Form twrp again and everything works like excepted now.

How did you unlock the bootloader, i requested the code at huawei but no response also using the unlock program on site i ran in to trouble getting a phone acount .

[Q] Can someone help me resolve a root access issue?

I have a Advent Tegra Note 7
Upgraded to kitkat and OTA 2.4.1
Used Tomsgt supertool 2.4.1 tool to root, installed TWRP (and made a backup image of my freshly installed system)
I've since added some games and apps and spent a fair bit of time customizing the system, but when I attempt to run Titanium Backup it tells freezes when "asking for root rights" so I ran "root checker basic" from playstore, which tells me I don't appear to have proper root access..
Here's a break down of what I've done, I've tried to keep it conscise...
I have tried installing a SuperSU, SuperUser and SU Update fixer, Also reinstalling the SuperSU-v1.94.zip using both cwm and twrp... Still no proper root access.
Ideally I'd like to try some other things to get root access before reflashing and having to reinstall my apps and settings, can anyone help or suggest anything else I could do.? I can't think of anything I could of accidentally done to break root access, this is still quite a clean system just setup in the past two days.
P.S.When using the supertool impacter tool and scan for usb driver I get a "no such device" error, even though the device is listed in the previous screens.. also I suspect the correct drivers are there as ADB seems to work fine
they flashing SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip from http://download.chainfire.eu/447/SuperSU/. I haven't had issues with root via either method.
If that fails you can use the n7root.img which is downloadable here: https://github.com/linux-shield/shield-root/blob/master/root_tn7.img?raw=true then go into fastboot mode and then type fastboot boot root_tn7.img. DO NOT USE FASTBOOT FLASH BOOT with this image as it will make it bootloop, just use fastboot boot command.
SOLVED
Thanks for the pointers hacktrix2006.. I tried supersu-v1.99r4.zip also v2 no luck. Had a quick look for how to get into fastboot mode.. couldn't access it from the bootloader.. so decided to take a backup image and restore to stock kitkat 4.4.2 via tomsgt latest tool 2.4.1 including doing Wipe data. then reinstalled TWRP then applied root.... AND noticed a screen saying something like ROOT ACCESS MAY BE FAULTY.. WOULD YOU LIKE TO FIX THIS.. I also think there was a warning about "be careful this action is irreversable" - I suspect the previous time I hadn't understood this properly and selected NO !! Anyway this time I said yes and now have ROOT YAY!
Now I start a re setup of the system and installation of apps etc.. I guess it's often a bit smoother 2nd (or 3rd 4th etc) time around
OK thx again for the encouragement, plus now I have a little more experience to offer someone else who may be struggling in this area.
no problem!

How I got back to stock 4.1 EMUI after update and failing to root (FRD L04)

Hey all! I havent seen anyone posting about this and I know there has been a lot of question about it here on the forum... This is the process I went to in restoring my phone completely back to stock... even reset the bootloader. I kept my unlock code and have successfully reused the same code multiple times on my device. Also Im apologizing now for spelling errors and formatting... Im not putting too much effort into it as im tinkering with phone on the interim.
I Just recently got the Huawei notification to update to EMUI 5. I was rooted on stock firmware and just uninstalled all the bloatware I didnt want making the phone perfect for my needs. I saw that there was a root for Nougat and updated without looking into it much further... I didnt realize it wasnt SuperSU and I havent figured out how to get it succesfully flashed. I got the PHH method working but it was not the Root I was looking for. I couldnt do a number of things.
So now I was stuck. I didnt make any backups because I am dumb and I completely wiped the phone.. formatted the device. (It is usually how i did my samsung phones because i kept all important data on external) I basically bricked the phone to where all I had was fastboot mode and twrp 3.0.2 for honor 8 ( 3.0.3 wasnt working for me, heck no other version period was working).
I went to Huaweis Websiteand downloaded the official rollback package and the official 6.0 package they have on that page.
Using the huawei image extractor I extracted the recovery for both of the images and put them in the respective folders i made for them.
While still in TWRP i did another full wipe of phone, then while plugged into pc , I put the dload folder from rollback package on the internal storage, I rebooted from twrp into fastboot, loaded the recovery.img from the rollback package, rebooted phone, and unplugged from pc.
I then held volume up, down, and power to force the update of the rollback. It did so successfully.
I then repeated the process, flashing the 6.0 recovery and putting that UPDATE. package in the dload folder on INTERNAL STORAGE! ( that part seemed to be key, I kept failing from ext sd card)
and voila! I am back to complete stock.
This is really a guide as a reminder for myself of the process I went through and for anyone else who may be trying to do the same, or is stuck..
Basically if you have unlocked bootloader and you can get into fastboot you are able to use a combo of twrp and stock recoveries that will get you back to stock and even re lock your bootloader erasing all flags

Help with Huawei P9 Lite Possible brick

Hi
I have the Huawei P9 Lite (from south africa)
Model number: HUAWEI VNS-L31
Build number: VNS-L31C185B381
I received the phone with Android Marshmallow and did OTA upgrade to Nougat.
Yesterday I unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone using twrp-3.1.1-0-venus and SuperSU-v2.82 and all went smoothly. I decided to unroot because of issues with banking app. I did a full unroot, but also tried to relock/lock the bootloader, and that's where things went south.
I tried multiple things including trying to flashing the stock ROM (I hope it's the right one) and by following some tutorials online managed to wipe the OS. After multiple stuff I tried I managed to get the phone to boot, but then I only had voice as input method and had none of the Huawei stock apps.
When booting into recovery mode (TWRP), I tried to flash the update.zip I downloaded, but I get error that it can't mount /data and Error code 7.
What I did now was did a complete wipe in TWRP (including OS), extracted the boot.img and system.img from the update.zip and the cust.img from update_full_VNS-L31_hw_meafnaf.zip. I flashed them in fastboot and installed update_data_full_public.zip from TWRP for the Huawei apps (I still got the error that it can't mount /data but it still installed). My phone boots successfully and has the default keyboard and apps enabled again, I thought everything was fixed. When I reached the screen to select security method, after confirming pin/password a second time, it takes me back to the screen where I should choose a security method, not saving my selection. I skipped this to just reach the phone home screen. I enabled developer option, but when clicking on developer options it closes to home screen immediately, so I can't enable USB debugging.
Can someone please help me get my phone into a fully working state (as it was shipped), preferably with bootloader locked (But it's okay if it isn't as that's where my problems started). It is possible that I had wrong versions of ROMs or recovery or something. There is no data I need to preserve, any method to get my phone to it's default working state is what I need. So any help/ links to correct ROMs would be really helpful
Edit:
Even if there is a way for me to just lock the bootloader so that the warranty is back so that I can maybe send it in for replacement

Motorola G2 XT1068 problem after flashing omni

Hello, i decided to open new thread because I nowhere find solution. My problem is that after flashing my moto g2 with omni 6.0.1 it get stuck on warning message (about unlocked bootloader). Now I can only get into bootloader menu, connect phone to PC (it's showing dewice as motorola dadb interface),I can only flash twrp using fastboot (fastboot boot twrp.img) and that's it. I can not flash anything permanently to the phone: any custom recovery, any rom, can't fix it with logofix. It just look like phone doesn't accept any flash. I tried also to change boot and other img but with no succes, always after any operation when I reboot phone it's get to warning message.
My phone is motorola 2G xt1068, 8gb, bootloader ver 48.87. Once I tried to flash it with retail rom from sd card via twrp 3.8.0.1 it shows that previous system was omni-titan 6.0.1 and retaildsdsall can not be flash, always shows error 7.
I wonder if I can flash it with upper version of omni: 7.0.1 to fix the problem with booting the phone.
If You could give me any advise how to solve the problem, I would be very appreciate.
Waitng for your reply Guys.
After a lot of tryes I found that anythig I do on the phone after restart it's getting to the same state, even if I manually deleted folder "Firmware", after reboot it's going back. When I prepared Moto for installing new rom using Philz recovery, all the data stay on it's place ( I mean private data like thumbnails in DCIM folder etc), nothing dissapeared. It's look like it have some copy of the system in internal storage and always after rebooting it's recovering it back, even if the system is flashed by new rom.
Have U any idea what's wrong with this phone?
Additinally I found that a lot of internal memory is busy: over 4500MB and free is only 780MB. Even after wiping everything, also formatting system.Should it be like this?

Ok, if noone could help me let's treat it as a blog.
Digging in google I found spanish site with a lot of custom roms for motorola. Now I'm trying one by one till I found the right one.
It's a pitty that Father's of the omni rom leaving me lonely in that situation, I think that they are the best of source of informations about that rom.
2018.02.19
I tried to install OmniRom 6.0.1 Homemade but on the beginning I had the infothat installation failed with error 7. So I found the solution to change the information in meta-info folder.I did it but when instalation started after "symlinkig" it stopped with error: some symlinks failed, error 7. And again I stucked.I feellike I'm very close of the solution but I need help. I'm using twrp 3.2.1.0 running via fastboot (boot twrp.img).

Lost TWRP after update C100B303 to C100B307 and cannot install again

I had a Media Pad M3 with unlocked bootloader, rooted and TWRP as recovery. As I wanted to update my ROM to BTV-DL09C100B311 I had some problems in TWRP an thought updating step by step would be a good idea. So I downloaded all missing ROMs throught FrimwareFinder and startet with BTV-DL09C100B307_fullOTA.
The installation in TWRP with ADP sideload worked and when I restartet my device a was a bit suprised that the yellow "Bootloader is unlocked - your device is unsecure" message was missing. I restarted again and the message is still missing. I thought OK perhaps I can now install all updates through the EMUI build in process without FirmwareFinder or TWRP.
EMUI downloaded the update and asked me to restart and install. After the restart the install process went to 20% and told me then there was a verification error. When I restarted the tablet again I got a screen similar to the yellow "Bootloader is unlocked - your device is unsecure". The screen is red an told me "Your device has failed verification an may not work properly".
Now I'm stuck. No updates work and TWRP could not be started or installed again.
I tried reinstall TWRP with fasboot (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m3/development/twrp-greatslon-mod-t3489232) but I get the error FAILED (remote: "command not allowed"). I tried the newest TWRP mod from https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=125388 but same error.
Phone and FRP are still unlocked, as shown in FASTBOOT&RESCUE MODE so this is not the cause of the above mentioned fastboot error.
I installed the Android SDK completly and downloaded the newest toolkit (https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools) but still get the above error. So I dont think its a driver problem either.
I did not try to unlock the bootloader again. I don't think this makes sense even if I still have the original codes.
I would like to get TWRP back and update the tablet to the newest ROM version. And it would also be nice to know what happened here
Thanks in advance for everyone helping me back on track. I think the first step should be get over the FAILED (remote: "command not allowed") error and install TWRP again.
I got it
Needed to unlock the bootloader again. Even so it throws an error the red starting screen disappeared an I got the usual yellow one back and i could install TWRP.
//Edit
Managed to get to newest Version with this updater: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279

I am also looking for a way to update my rooted M3 (WiFi edition) to the latest available version with security patch line of November.
Now I wonder whether with this updater in your post above this works immediately or if I also have to go through all the difficulties you faced?
Is it possible to install updates with a rooted device with this updater or do you always need to unlock the bootloader again?
Thanks for your help!
Just tried it out now and it worked! Data is still there, homescreen icons are a little bit messed up and root is gone (no problem).
This is great because I was looking now for a long time to find a way to update a rooted M3 with new OTA updats (all the usual way fails).
I used to do it with going back to stock and a factory reset being involved.
Funny that you presented me the solution with your problem.
Glad that you shared it.
Now the only thing I am missing is to install the Xposed Framework on the M3. If you know how to do this let me know (I am using Super SU).

Im happy I could help. I dont use Xposed.
Hi, can you, please, describe this in steps? What I have to do before standard OTA update should work? And when (and how) to open bootloader once more? Thank you very much.
Standard ota updates will not work. If you already have an unlocked bootloader you have to use this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279 to manual update your M3 to the newest version.
If you have no unlocked bootloader please check this first https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m3/development/twrp-greatslon-mod-t3489232
