[Q] G2 problem!? Freezes on bootscreen! Anyone help...?!

I have problem w my t-mobile G2! It restarted by himself and then entered the boot menu.... where i can do nothing
When i press vol down button it freezses on same screen but w different options...
fastboot
recovery
factory reset
simlock
system info
image crc
where also i can do nothing!!
Can anyone help? did someone had same or similar issue?
Is it possible that no one had simmilar problem?!
Could be the recovery... You dont seem to have eng. Hboot so are you able to somehow boot in to a rom and change recovery there?
Otherthing that could be is that your emmc chip is fried.
Is there any help?
you could try to use fastboot to boot in to the rom (power + trakepad)
...connect to pc and type "fastboot oem boot" (credits to nipqer - he posted it in a different thread)
EDIT: if the emmc chip is fried you can only hope for warranty
Could you describe little closer...not so good vith all that... type fast oem boot .... where? in command prompt?
ok ...yeah you have to use command prompt, but first you have to install fastboot on your pc (goolge for the fastboot files you need)
and if you are lucky you are able to boot in to the rom. good luck
pls hit the thanks button if this was helpful
I made it... i just needed to instal android 1.0 drivers... and then fastboot oem boot did it... its working now
also instaled 2.3 update... but problem is ... every time i switch it off... even when it finished installation of 2.3 it freezes in that same boot menu... and i have to fastboot it from pc?! What's wrong?
Try a different recovery. 4ext recovery works fine for me...

Can i use it if my phone is not rooted?! I made it to temp root... but cant downgrade to 2.2. so i can do a perm root.
hm, your phone needs to have root to install a custom recovery. but in your first post the pictures shows s-off and 0.76.2000 hboot, you are sure your phone isn´t rooted?
if you still have the problem mentioned, try to wipe cache or do a factory reset. enter recovery through bootloader to do this... if you still can´t do this wipe cache through fastboot (google for the command - i don´t remember it right now - it´s something like "fastboot erase cache" but i´m not sure)

If you're stuck at dual core logo, hold volume up and power to reboot, then once you see the dual core logo, count to 3 then press volume down. If done right you'll see android recovery in the top corner, if not you may see "starting fastboot protocol," press volume down again till you see "android recovery" then press volume up to load recovery and restore your device.

Nexus10 bootloop

Hi,
i have a problem with rooting my nexus 10: After installing te recovery, i was to slow updating the drivers.
No i have a bootloop, my device dont boot the OS, it hangs on the animation.
I can enter the bootlaoder, so i assume that i dint brick the device.
What should i do? flash the factory image?
plz help
After fastboot oem unlock you need to do a factory reset... A userdata.img is included in stock images from Google at https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#mantarayjop40c
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
so i have to flash this image in fastboot?
fastboot flash userdata.img ?
i just dl the factory image from here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and run the flash-all bat but still a bootloop
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
ok, i just hit this, letz hope it works, im a bit worried that i brick the device
edit : ok still a bootloop ;(
Do cache.img in the same way... See if that fixes it ( I did all this earlier too when I got a bootloop in the same manner)
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
ok. ill gonna try it, how long shoul i wait, until im sure that it is a bootloop? 2 min?
yeeaahhh ill got a boot
should i reflash the factory image just to get sure all ist stock again, and all what i do is reverted?
I didn't flash system.img on mine after updating to latest stock (mine arrived with older firmware than stock image)... especially don't do it if you want to keep superuser installed.

Many thanks for this, I stating to think I mad, This resolved my problem.
Bootloop and "Downloading-do not turn off target!!" in recovery
Hi there,
New here so please be gentle if possible Opened box, updated OTA firmware to latest 4.2, enabled developer mode & USB, used adb reboot fastboot and adb oem unlock to unlock. Confirmed unlock and now stuck in a bootloop. When I use Power+Down to go into recovery, I get the Android picture stating "Downloading... do not turn off target!!!". Fastboot and adb commands won't work, so I can't figure out how to get past this point. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
It's a pain to get into the bootloader. Always takes me a few tries. Try holding down power and both vol keys. I have to do it several times, sometimes just vol - sometimes both. Eventually it will go to the bootloader without the downloading dialog.

Yes you are in Download mode not recovery or fastboot ...
Hold down BOTH volume keys and the power button to get to fastboot mode .. and you can get to recovery from there ...

Big thanks to both of you who replied with hints. I confirm that holding down BOTH volume keys and power brought me into regular fastboot. I went into recovery (then pressed up+power) and did a factory reset. The (unlocked) Nexus then booted properly after that. I have had no issues since. *fingers crossed*
i have the same problem right now. im using the nexus10toolkit and I have reflashed it back to stock and unroot it. Im still stuck at bootloop. any ideas?

Go back to fastboot. Once in fastboot, go into RECOVERY. You'll get android andy on its back with red exclamation point. Hold down POWER then briefly press VOLUME UP. You should then have the menus visible. Now just wipe your device. Reboot and it should work now. If not do the relock, unlock, relock and fastboot recovery and wipe data.

I have tried 100 times to boot in fastboot mode. I've done every combination of power, volume up, and volume down imaginable. All my tablet does is vibrate. It will boot to the nexus logo but stays in a boot loop. How can I get to the fastboot? Is it just bricked beyond repair. I was attempting to unlock it with the nexus toolkit and it rebooted my device during the process and started this bootloop. Can anyone help?????
Can adb find your device when in bootloop? If so
adb reboot bootloader
If not you will need to continue trying to get into fastboot mode with the hardware keys. I doubt you are bricked as the bootloader is still there or it wouldn't make it to splash screen

[Q] Can't go through boot animation in any rom

Hey guys, I had Lollipop 5.0 and I did stock rom flash in Nexus Root Toolkit to install 5.0.1, everything went smoothly and it started to boot, I waited for more than 20 minutes. Then I decided to do it again and it was really hard to get into fastboot, I had to disconnect the battery and try for some more time. When I finnaly get into fastboot mode I have tried reinstalling 5.0.1, installing 5.0, 4.4.4 and even Cyanogen's last nightly. With any of those I had no luck as it is stuck with boot animation.
Some googling told me about people who did fastboot oem lock and it booted up, just tried that with no luck also.
One very important thing, when I get into fastboot mode, I can only select Start in the device itself, clicking volume up or down doesn't give me any other option.
Edit: I even downgraded Nexus Root Toolkit from 1.9.9 to 1.8.2 thinking it was the problem, no luck. And tried to install Lollipop manually a couple of times. And the problem trying to get into fastboot mode keeps happening.
Thank you all in advance
And now that I tried to lock the bootloader I can't unlock it again because when I go to fastboot mode I can only press start, pressing the volume keys doesn't do anything. What can I do to unlock the bootloader ? I think I'm stuck in here because I can't do anything else without it unlocked.
Edit: It didn't work to boot the system also
I really need some help here
so your volume down key is working when you're entering bootloader mode, but after "fastboot oem unlock" command you can't choose "YES" with the same volume down key ?

All my keys are working just fine, I can easily boot into bootloader (I was doing Power + Volume Down when I should push Power + Volume Down + Volume UP) but when I get into bootloader/fastboot (I don't know which one is the proper name) I can't do anything but press the Power button, meaning that I can only choose START. When I do the fastboot oem unlock command I can't press Volume UP or Down to choose Yes.
I followed this tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/tutorial-how-to-unbrick-n4-t2347060) with no luck aswell, I finnaly got into the system, but I can't unlock the bootloader because of the Volume keys problem. I also noticed that even when I'm into the system from that tutorial, which is Jelly Bean btw I still can't use the volume keys.
Basically, phone only recognises volume keys when it's off and I press to go into bootloader or download mode.
