I just received an update via ota only 60mb, no changelog only "..will fix bugs and increase system stability" .
I would like to know how I can update because I have a custom recovery and root.

Hi to all,
i've buy this tablet used from a collegue of my friend.
He give it to me with a modify rom with 3.1 firmware (if i don't wrong, tha name of the rom are "Picasso-ROM" but i'm not sure about it).
I wanna restore the original firmware on it to take the last firmware 3.2.1 (Acer_A500_7.014.14_COM_GEN1) but I can not seem to update to that version of the tablet !
At the moment with the EUUs_SBK_Acer_A500_1.016.05_COM_GEN1 i was able to restore the original Acer recovery (lost with old custom rom) and with OTA now i've the follow update : "A500_7.006.01_COM_GEN1" but the version of Android still 3.2 !
I would not like that when ICS comes out I will not be able to update !
How can i force it ? There is a link where i can download the OTA update ?

There is no way to force OTA unfortunately - if you've managed to receive the OTA 3.2 then there should be no reason you shouldn't receive 3.2.1 just give it a few days more, some here have had to wait 2-3 weeks for it so I wouldn't panic just yet

I recently reverted from the leaked ICS 4.0.3 using ATX to flash back to stock 3.0.1. Once I did that, I tried to OTA update to 3.2, without success. So I downloaded the 3.2 update from Vache's thread, renamed it update.zip and threw it on my sdcard. Rebooted into stock recovery and updated. Once I did that, I went into settings and checked for OTA update, and it worked. So I had the same problem with OTA updates, but running 3.0.1. Perhaps downloading the 3.2.1 update will allow you to get OTA updates in the future (it should).
If you want to make sure, try downgrading to 3.0.1, then downloading the 3.2 update from Vache's thread. Then doing OTA update from your tablet and it should work. Hope that at least gives you some inspiration to try some things!
The above post is a viable way..
But also if i remember right.. You can Take any full complete rom pushed by acer.Flash it with the stock recovery.. With the catch the update rom version has to be region matched and a NEWER ROM VERSION.
Hope this makes sense. Its the procedure i have used in the past to test out a OTA.
People are doing this same thing to get the ICS LEAK. FULL ROM. acer will let you move forword as each full push from them added fixes for previous root ability and so on..
That brings me back to thinking ACER Leaked this ics rom just to see how easly it can be broken.

The update that came OTA was 24.41.33 (with the januari patch). I never received this and am wondering if i will still get updates in the future or if I have to keep doing this myself. So basically:
I flashed from 5.1.1 to 6.0 myself with link posted here through recovery mode.

The best to do is flash the 5.1.1 factory image for your model and location. And then updating through the normal way. Not manually
Thanks. I'm not sure how to go about doing that. So updates wont come to my phone anymore OTA? I've read on here that the 6.0.1 update should arrive soon. I'm new to all this and don't want to risk breaking my phone. Maybe it's better to wait? I'm from the Netherlands too btw.

You should have the january security patch, if you dont and dont have an update you need to flash the factory image. If you don't want to brick your phone you shouldnt flash updates manually in the first place.
You can also try this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759884307 which is the flashable zip for the dutch 6.0 firmware (but you need twrp and unlocked bootloader for that.

I found a Rom that was called cm-21.1-YOG4PAS3JL-Rooted-Twrpable.zip that updated me to 5.1.1. So, I keep getting asked to run a system update when the name suggest some update earlier than mine. Wish I could stop those annoying request to update. Anyway, where do I go to get the latest update that is for Rooted and TWRP users.

Hi guys,
I have received an OTA update for android nougat. I was rooted and have xposed framework. So I have flashed stock firmware so that system status is changed to Official. I have received OTA updates after flashing till January 2017 security patch. After this update, even if i manually check for update, it just says "Your device's software is up to date".
Not able to get OTA for nougat when everyone else in India are receiving it. I received update for the same device when I had root and Xposed. Please help. Currently I'm on stock firmware without root & xposed.

Received the OTA update again. sharing the link here. Just extracted it from /data partition. Its unmodified.

I think Motorola is restricting a device to download the update more than once for now, as everyone are trying to get the update. Let me know if you get the update again. Will do the same if I get it.

I have downloaded it once, but not able to find it in the cache partition. Then flashed stock firmware and no more update notification for Nougat. Even I'm wondering what really is happening.
Maybe Motorola might be pushing the update randomly. I see that many others are reporting the same issue at XDA. I hope we would get the update in a couple of days.

I have downloaded it and its around 764MB. I have flashed the stock firmware and tried to update it, but my device got updates till Jan 2017 security patch only, nougat update didn't appear second time! Still waiting for the update

Seems you are using the right version of marshmallow.
What i did was:-
1. Downloaded the ROM from https://github.com/motoxplay/stock. Indian version 5.1.1 (XT1562).
2. Flashed it.
3. Now the ROM was automatically updated to 6.0.1 then 7.1.1.
Just try to download and flash the ROM from here. https://github.com/motoxplay/stock
after flashing 5.1.1 it said device up to date.not working now its Lollipop.

I have already tried this method. Flashed Indian Official Lollipop firmware and it received OTA updates till Jan 2017 security patch. No more update after that! When did you receive the notification?
I think Motorola has rolled back the OTA due to battery drain and other issues few people reported. Fingers crossed!

May be they rolled back the update due to issues.
I got the update on 3rd October 2017.
I don't have any issues but yes Nougat battery is not as much effective than MM.
But its not draining like other people reporting.

Kindly select based on region.
Updates will come based on combination of country & IEMI number.
If you are not from India and flashed the Indian version then it don't update further.
So make sure while flashing the ROM.
After flash check, should have stock recovery and ROM than only you will get the same.
Guys! I have received the OTA update today again. Not sure where to capture the OTA. Last time I didn't find it in Cache partition. This time I was able to pull the OTA zip file from data partition. Will upload it this evening if anyone wants the OTA zip file.

Asus started to rollout pie update for max pro m2 but also it rolled back the update after many users reported several bugs. Since then it's been two weeks but i haven't received any further update yet. Has, anyone received the pie update in India again after the rollback.
