Intel software Hush against battery drain - ZenFone 2 General

Intel is developing a software called "hush".
Goal is to reduce battery drain while device is sleeping.
It's more than another greenify. They track the user reaction on notifications and adjust the Apps possibilty to wake up the phone in the future.
Sorry I found only a german articel:
m.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Forscher-reduzieren-Stromverbrauch-von-Android-Geraeten-2810673.html
Hope Intel uses Zf2 for developing this and we'll receive it, soon.

Great! Hopefully soon plus new version for stock rom.

Would this be more efficient than Greenify though? For me I simply hibernate essentially all my apps except email because there really isn't anything that I don't regularly check so it couldn't be so important that I need notification...

Hush isn't a separate program, its meant to be integrated into the rom itself. You can get the source code here https://github.com/hushnymous

Looked pretty interesting and would have loved to check it out in one of my roms but that code probably wont work in lollipop

Zf2 rom with this would be awesome.

Wrong section mate. Try posting in the forum for your device (if there is one) or in the XDA general rooting section. You might be able to find others with the device if it is not as well known.

Although I agree the bootup animation is from older versions of Android, It's clearly 2.x+ as shown at 1:20 by the lwp, phone app instead of dialer, and a few other apps in the drawer.

The Next Big Thing for S II (ROM Feature)

Hey!
I am kinda interested to see what S II users want for the next big Feature in all ROM or a suggestion of ROM.
Except the basic features which all ROMs have like Root,Init.d,BLN etc.
And if the suggestion is clicky I will try to develop the ROM ASAP! with the same feature. OF COURSE...DUH!

Make a ROM that gives me the power of seduction.
NO one does simply ask question like this
How about Dual/Multi boot? I know that this has already been done by the great 'HellCatDroid' but it still has certain limitations and it's a proof-of-concept but when it comes to actual practice, it's not possible to use it. May be someone could design a 'multi' boot loader (/bootmanager?)
Find a way to recover the hidden 500 meg partition on our phone and use it for something useful.
But I still say power of seduction.

just talking here, but this isn't too far fetched. on a fairly complicated setup, you can actually accomplish something similar with: cronjob to compile CM automatically on your linux computer + ClockworkMod scripts (Koush might have removed this in recent recoveries, not too sure) + Tasker. strictlyrude27 and brandall used to backup their ROMs automatically with Tasker executing shell commands, so flashing a ROM was/is probably possible. Just figure a way to get the compiled ZIP over to your SD card (probably rsync) and have Tasker execute shell commands on a reboot..

An exchange email application that doesn't drain battery like the stock Samsung app on active sync.
It needs the sources to fix but no suitable sources have ever been released to fix the bug.
Even the market ones drain battery.
I'll keep dreaming that one day we'll get a battery friendly exchange application with push.
And no I won't get a blackberry I had one before and as well as it works the whole o/s is severely lacking.

Just wondering if anyone managed to install Skype on this device? It seems to only work on ARM based devices, so just wondering if it works on the Razr I. I love the look of this phone, however, skype is a must for me.

I usually just port Custom Rom's to devices. Not really port I guess, just have to change the device tree. Do a little bit of kernel stuff to.
I don't consider myself a dev, but I will be getting one of these, once the "Sand" version is available.
I am wondering how much more difficult everything is going to be between Lollipop/SELinux and 64-bit capability.
This will be my first Nexus device as well - closest I've had up to now is running GPE on my M8.

iOS-alike ROM for i9505

Hello,
this is my first post here. I am currently using a CM12.1 ROM and TWRP recovery for my i9505, and I was happy, for the most part. Now, before I get to the topic:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I AM VERY WELL AWARE THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE ORIGINAL iOS ON ANY ANDROID PHONE OR OTHERWISE. I AM ALSO NOT LOOKING FOR LAUNCHERS.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, I had to do it this way, or else someone is going to close my thread very, very soon.
So, what I am asking for/about is an iOS-like rom, I mean a heavily modified version of the stock Android (at least "heavily" in the esthetic part), like the one the Chinese guys use in their iPhone 6S clones (Video courtesy of EverythingApplePro: w ww.youtube .com/watch?v=pMKr8zUEUF0).
Is that possible, and if so, is it already available somewhere on another phone, and again if so, can any dev here please port it over to the S4 i9505 or possibly more versions of the phone?
Thank y'all who at least took this into consideration. EvESpirit, out.
P.S.: English is not my native language and as such, I am asking you to keep the laughts for yourself. Thanks
Your best option is probably a theme.
I think MIUI is probably your best rom for this if it's available for your device

First, believe it or not, I've already tried that. First thing that pops up for query "theme engine ios" is MIUI, which is not what I am looking for, as it tries to "make IOS in it's own style" (=not realistically looking iOS). Second - I wrote a million times that I am looking for a "ROM". Not a launcher, not a theme, not xposed module (if that is even a thing at all), but a ROM.
Anyways, thanks for your attempt.

It is, but as I stated, it is not what I am looking for. Graphically nor functionally.
Or maybe some apps that would change the look of your phone to become iOS-like. However, it would be resource-hungry. About apps that I'm mentioning, no idea on the app name.
