CyanogenMod For Blu Studio 5.0 Sii D572A (MT6582M) - Blu Studio 5

Anybody here can help get CyanogenMod on this device?
Will superdragonpt's ROM CM 12.1 work on a MT6582M or is it only for MT6582?

Found out that MT6582 and MT6582M are different. So I guess it cannot work. Need new kernel for MT6582M.

Well then I guess no one can help
:crying:

How different is MT6582 from MT6582M?
Will they be able to function using the same kernel?

This is my device. It's not listed under devices so I guess it has no value here

If another device with MT6582M is running an OS that's higher than Android JB, can the kernel of that device be used to make a ROM for our Blu Studio 5.0 SII thats higher than Android JB?

I don't know anything about this please help All I know is to flash ROM. Please respond somebody! Can another phone's kernel be used on our phone if the phone has the same chipset MT6582M?

Can somebody move this thread to somewhere else? It doesn't fall under the Blu Studio 5.0 category. There is no Studio 5.0 SII recognized as a device on XDA either I guess I'll have to wait like next 10 years till I get a new phone that has an os higher than JB

There was some weird promise about porting after new year. But nothing seems to have happened.
Problem is that there's not many devs owning the I9001.
So far, the Cranium and BroodROM are very reliable and good roms, its nice to have those too
Apart from that, YardE is working on a CM port if i'm correct o:
Found this on a chinees site:

and then ur device will display android 4.0.1!!
just fake
it's not that i am not happy with my phone and the latest cranium rom.
But it be very nice if we can run ics and it's ghraphic accelerated interface.
btw posted on the cranium site for the request of their custom rom.
In the hope they will port ics.

HTC One 8

Do you think the rumours about Windows Phone 8 running on HTC One are true? If so, would you want it?
I read the rumour a couple of days ago a I think it's an awesome idea. Even better would be, if someone
managed to port it and allowed dual booting.
So what is your opinion? Are you die-hard Android fans or would you give Windows a chance?
Because I personally would flash it right away, although I love Android and am not going to abandon this os
in foreseeable future, but having two great OSs on one phone certainly sounds awesome.

As this is not about the HTC One / android this is a different device and is considered off topic. All off topic threads go in the OT section in XDA until such a time that a forum is created for that phone.

Vault 7 CIA hacking tools, could these be used for a root exploit?

In light of the emerging Vault 7 dumps, I have begun to wonder if any of the CIA's leaked Android tools could be used to gain or exploit root access/ allow a custom boot loader to be installed on the AT&T G5. If anyone with programming know-how would look into this I'm sure many of us would be interested in any possibilities that might emerge from this avenue.

BTW - anyone tried requesting AT&T to release the flashabe version for LG G5?

Yes, I have been asking them for months. I just reminded them we're still waiting last week.
So far, AT&T's employees have been less than accommodating on this front. Some of them have given deceptive answers/ or appear to be unknowledgeable as to the nature of flashing a device.

i9500 LineageOS ?

Hi, does anyone know of any work being done to get LineageOS 14.1 (or equivalent) working on the i9500 (S4 International non-LTE) ? If so can you please provide some download links ?
I've seen plenty of posts for 'jfltexx' but the reality is that the i9500 isn't included in that bunch since it is not based on a Qcom chipset.
Any insight/help would be appreciated...
Besides the fact you didn't search the forum to see if your question was answered before you posted, there is one big issue that stops everyone stone cold in their tracks. No one on the forums here has an I9500, and they cannot build a ROM for a device they don't have. So, just to repeat what I have told to others on this same forum, if you want a custom Android 7.x ROM for your I9500 two things have to happen.
1. You have to find a developer willing to make a ROM.
2. You have to provide that developer with an I9500 to develop on.
The JDC Team may be willing to create an I9500 version of LineageOS, but you're going to have to purchase a second I9500 to send to them in order for the work to even be attempted.

[HELP] [AOSP 10 BUILD] Update requires 'goldfish_arm64'.

Hello everyone,
since this awesome Tablet isn't getting Updates anymore I tried to build my own Android Version (10) with help of the AOSP Documentary.
Everything works smooth and fine, but when I try to flash this freshly created build, I get an error:
"Device product is 'baytrail'.
Update requires 'goldfish_arm64'."

I tried resolving the problem by getting to know what exactly is goldfish in the first place. So I found, that the 'goldfish' is in the Android Kernel for 4.x versions. I simply just don't understand why the bootloader is attatched to a specific android version. Strange.
Additionally, Lenovo Support gives the whole Open Source .zip for both Lollipop and Kitkat versions, so I have full build .zips of the "old" versions.
Is maybe the boot.img file the problem? I extracted it from Lollipop.
Any help will be appreciated.
Same issue.
I think you need to edit the upadte-script.
Hello. Could you please share your previous build that worked? Will it work on the Tab 2 - 8 inches?
