In light of the emerging Vault 7 dumps, I have begun to wonder if any of the CIA's leaked Android tools could be used to gain or exploit root access/ allow a custom boot loader to be installed on the AT&T G5. If anyone with programming know-how would look into this I'm sure many of us would be interested in any possibilities that might emerge from this avenue.

Yes, I have been asking them for months. I just reminded them we're still waiting last week.
So far, AT&T's employees have been less than accommodating on this front. Some of them have given deceptive answers/ or appear to be unknowledgeable as to the nature of flashing a device.

I grabbed the one click zip from the Developer forum. Did not add or change anything other than unzipping.

Well...before this gets too techy.
We root our phones with a "virus" or an Exploit. It's how we obtain root. Not surprising to see it come up.
But it would only hurt a linux box that happens to be compiled for ARM....and has ADB(where the security hole is)....so pretty much only Android phones...
Found this last night as well. Funny thing is that MSE never reported it before. I do wonder though if some of the rough experiences I've had trying to root etc. are due to my AV and firewall programs interfering - but they seldom speak up while I'm trying so I'm not sure. When I do anything phone-related again though I'll be disabling them.
Its because of the DroidDream malware. Since they use the same exploit, its now automatically assumed bad.
No need to remove it, it cant hurt any x86/Windows systems at all

You're not the only one, same for me and some other Note FE SM-N935F/DS users...
Seems like that only the Korean variant doesn't have this problem as they can just flash the standard TWRP without problems.
Anyone able to boot back to main screen without flashing stock ROM?
So there's no working root method yet for N935F/DS. Seems we have to wait for a year? Hope not. I like their phones but I hate Samsung!

Hi all, I recently bought two of these watches for my kids, as a Christmas present. Perhaps abruptly, but it seemed attractive price and quite complete features for children ages 8 and 10. Then I have seen problems using the application "Care Escort 2", registration problem in this application, etc.
Does anyone know more than the pure propaganda offered by vendors (there are not many) of this watch that has chip MTK 2603?. What would I can expect from him (changing wallpapers?... Personalization screens?... Does anyone know a terminal similar to this? (Several models look alike, but I find no reviews of it or more information from the manufacturer, operating system or anything else...).
may be too new (?) or old already (?) or not as good, no or I know. Seller, once sold, do not know, know little or not answer, assuming you have already placed...
Thanks in advance, any information to elders about this "unknown watch" so far, if it deserves your reflection and inquiry, thank you sincerely.

Is it normal for the camera mask to cut off the screen slightly?

I recently obtained a "New-in-box" V20 and quickly got to work with unlocking the bootloader and loading Alpha Omega Rom. As I've been working with it, I noticed a couple of curiosities that make me question its newness, however, and I wanted to run this by the community to see if anybody had any insight. First and foremost, is this level of cutoff under the camera corner normal for LGs?

Secondly, the "hardware info" menu shows over 46 hours of "lifetime calls." Is that counter at all accurate, even after using LGUp to install an exploitable stock rom, Dirty Santa to set up TWRP, and then use TWRP to install the latest available Alpha Omega?
Another odd thing I spotted was that, despite the fact that it is the Verizon VS995 variant, the back cover has the B&O branding instead of the Verizon tramp stamp. Did some of the VS995s ship with this more stealthy design?
Basically, I'm trying to feel out if I have any leverage by which to request an exchange or partial refund for my "brand new" item. I'm still pretty happy with it despite the weird lineup issue, but it's one of those things that you can't exactly un-see .
