How to REMOVE TWRP and ROOT ZTE ZMAX - ZTE ZMAX Questions & Answers

As someone that once worked in a phone repair shop, it's very disappointing when you can't fix your own device( can't find the part). My aux port doesnt work anymore, and Im starting to see dead pixels on my lcd so I'm going to send in my phone for warranty repair. I can't send in my phone if it has TWRP, I would of asked in the "ZTE ZMAX" section, but XDA doesn't let me post in that section. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
I was just going to go back to stock, but then I have the matter of TWRP..

I'm trying to find some help with this phone this is the only forum that has a zte phone.I have this phone and its locked due to someone locking it with a 4-digit code I believe.I can't get into the phone.Does anyone know the bypass code?I was told that I would probably need to root & from it and remove the from and reinstall it.If that's the case does anyone know of what site I go to in order to root the phone.I would appreciate any help with this problem. Bootloader Unlock->relock for warranty=win :)

Just got my play back frow warranty service. It had a borken or flex cable to the to screen so i could not see anything. Ofc i had a rom installed. So i went back to stock and took a relock bootloader ftf. Then i sent it away and woop got it back fixed So unlocking bootloader is fine if you relock it and then send it to warranty for hardware fixing. I'm not sure that this will work for all but they had also flashed the real original firmware before they sent it to me.
Have you guys been this lucky or is it common that they ignore bootloader history status when they fix hardware problems ?

As promised, I thought I would update you on my phone that I had recently sent to Sony Repair Centre. The phone had a relocked bootloader, no receipt, no charger and it has STILL been repaired!

I had the same flex problem so I sent it to sony with a relocked bootloader.
Just arrived today, fixed, working like new and I unlocked the bootloader again.
I must say the repair service was pretty fast.

My r800i's touch screen packed up after flashing it was ok for a while then it died, i tried other roms and kernels but no luck, probably incompatible software im not sure.
Anyway i flashed a stock rom but forgot to re-lock the bootloader then sent my phone to vodafone for repair, 2 weeks later i got it back with a letter stating that they could not repair it due to some tampering to the software.
I have since re-locked my bootloader with the link from this thread and then repaired my phone via seus,
I still have no response form my touchscreen though.:crying:
I have now sent my phone to sony for repair directly and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that vodafone did not contact sony about my fault when i previously sent it to them.
I will post the results in this thread
Why are you bumping old thread?

All of us have issues with our devices from time to time, and we all need some help with it. There is no need to come down on any user because they borked their $300+ device. If you can't give any advice to help resolve the users question, please move on to another post that you can contribute to.
I don't have the answer to your issue, but I might suggest using the search function, and read like crazy. You will most likely find your answer(if someone doesnt post it here first )

I Hardbricked my i9500 :(

Hello XDA,
So yesterday i installed the pac-man ROM 4.4.2 on my Galaxy S4 (i9500) and all was going well. Then i tried installing Unicon ( a utility which manages your icon packs). I have installed this app on every android phone i have ever had and every time it asks me to go into xposed and enable it like it usually does.
So i go into xposed and i click on install/update. It shows a dialog saying that (some file name i don't remember) is already there and continue if you are feeling adventurous. Being the stupid person I am i continued.
After switching off the device, the screen is absolutely black and does not even go to download mode or recovery mode.
Please help me I'm almost crying as the warranty just ran out and it wont get replaced or anything. I don't even have the money to buy a new phone right now.
Please tell me what to do to fix this i don't care about the data or anything i just want my phone to be fixed please help me..........:crying:

Not an expert but try to buy an USB JIG that force your phone into download mode. At that point, you can flash a recovery or a rom directly via odin. :good:
Well, it has nothing to do with Xposed. You can almost impossible brick it that way.
Did you try a simple thing like taking the battery out?
Yes I tried removing everything I could including battery Sim card SD card. Still not working. some people have said that in hard brick their devices give out red led but my phone doesn't even do that. Its just like a brick. Somebody pls help me ;( my dad doesn't let me use the credit card online and I can't find the USB jig anywhere near me so I can't get it.

Your phone is not bricked. The way you descriped is almost impossible to brick it.
You got a faulty battery or a hardware failure.
Hi,
I and a friend had a similar issue to yours. Our S4 was very slow and we took out the battery, now it doesn't even show Samsung Splash Screen (same issue, different context). Unfortunately, JIG won't do the work there (I tried).
While my friend sent it to warranty I didn't have mine because it was bought in US and I'm from Brazil. It looks like a viable way of solving it is using a tool called JTAG, I'm waiting for a friend to bring to my town his JTAG to see if it works, I'll report here the results, I recommend you searching for it .

You sure you'll look for the JTAG device? The Jtag box cost around $210.

Hi,
JIG will only work
if you can get at least in Splash Screen, if it doesn't give any life signal, then I get that you can't get into Splash Screen, therefore, JIG won't do the work.
Here's a video showing exactly the same problem I had and a JTAG repair

Hi,
There are people who can do the JTAG work, they charge some money but fix it. Even though it is way cheaper than getting a JTAG interface . Buying a device would be way more expensive, and I think it wouldn't be really worth, like you mentioned .

Guys, I like the talk about JTAG, but I don't think it will do him any good.
His device is not bricked. Xposed only installs in /system/bin (if I am not mistaken). Thus it's impossible to brick it that way. It does nothing to the bootloader, download mode or any other partition.
He has clearly a faulty battery or an other hardware failure. He just had bad luck imo.
Are you sure about that? I'll try changing the battery.... But as I said I can't enter download mode or recovery ,both are symptoms of a hard brick....
And any idea where I can find a person with JTAG in Gurgaon(India)?

Nexus 6P bootloop after beta update

Hello everyone, yesterday I installed the DP4 on my Nexus 6P it was working fine until today i was using the phone and it just froze and started bootlooping. Phone was never rooted or anything like that, tried to factory reset and use adb to flash OTA. Phone still has warranty... Any help would be appreciated.
Send into warranty. Before you do that though. Try to shoot hairdryer above the fingerprint reader to revive phone. Check general section in forum for bootloop fix
