Hi everyone,
I'm wondering whether anyone has successfully used Android Pay on a Meizu Pro 5.
Some backstory of my problem:
In preparation for Android Pay releasing soon™ in the UK, I installed the apk to see how it was set up. When trying to add a card I got an error saying "Android Pay can't be used. Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible". After researching I found that normally this error is because the phone is rooted, but I'm not (although I have been in the past). I've tried flashing different firmware's and I still get the error.
Part of the Android Pay checks is the Google Safety Net API so I downloaded SafetyNet Helper Sample from Google Play and sure enough, it fails. It fails saying "CTS profile match: false". Is something wrong with my device or is it a Meizu problem?

Its not working on my Meizu Pro 5 either. I am on 5.6.5.17 beta and using it in UK. The SafetyNetAPIHelper is giving the same error as you mention. Were you able to find solution ? Halifax mobile is also not working.

i have been searching for solution and looks like there is xposed module to bypass this security check
can you test it out , i dont have the phone with me yet

I installed the NoDeviceCheck apk from the link and no effect. SafetyNet Helper still says the CTS Profile Match : False and same error in Android Pay.

The following break Android Pay;
-Xposed Framework
-Non-stock DPI
-Busybox installed to /system/... (/su/bin works!)
-Certain custom ROMs
-Classic root method (use systemless instead)
-/su/xbin_bind using systemless root (delete this file in this path and reboot)
-Any modifications to /system
i think the root and xposed is the main thing that doesnt pass the check in android pay
i am not sure if you can unroot from the account
i will try to make it work as soon as i get the device

You have to know that none of Meizu devices has the certification for Google Services. https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1727131?hl=en
So I don't think Android Pay could work.

that can be tricked via the build.prop and faked as another branded device

I don't think it is so simple.
Hello there, I've been trying to get the viper4android but it just keep asking me to install the driver.
I've tried with the magisk module and the xda labs version (which looks awesome btw).
I'm on magisk 19.0
My rom is xiaomi.eu 10.4
Any ideas?
Just install a Magisk module or a script to set SeLinux as Permissive. I am using it right now and everything works great.

open magisk manager and go to downloads and search for viper4android, then install. it works just fine.

I've had trouble installing it, too. Tried every rom posted on this forum, stock MIUI, and some GSI, and in none of them I could get V4A working. Used Magisk Module, too.
Could you please ellaborate how you installed it? Which rom? Which Magisk/V4A version?
Viper is literally the only thing I'm missing from my previous phone; I'd reeeally like to enjoy it again!

Have you tried using the XDA Labs version? I had the same problems and that worked pretty well

Yes, I tried that one as well. Always the same error: "No driver installed", press yes, restart phone, and back to "no driver installed" again.
Which busybox version are you using?

I'll write it here for anyone with the same problem, or for future reference.
First, check that you have BusyBox installed.
Then, in Magisk Manager, install the Audio Modification Library. Reboot.
In Magisk Manager again, install the Viper4Android module. Install options: new driver, old interface, user app, library workaround no, oneplus 3 workaround yes. Reboot.
Check opening the app, it should work normally, with no "driver not found" errors.
Notes: tried with letsmakecake's Lineage 16. People in the RN7 Telegram group recommend busybox.zip, but I confirm that the stericson app works the same.
If anyone has problems making it work with Poweramp: settings->audio->advanced->
- Direct Volume Control: disabled
- MusicFX: enabled
Then go to the eq screen, second tab, press MusicFX so it's enabled.
Thanks all who helped, and the V4A devs. This is the best audio tweak mod available for Android, hands down.
Personal recommendation: try the Dolby Pro Logic II irs in the convolver!

what exact version did you use? I tried it with the latest legacy from magisk app and most of the options were changed. and I couldnt get it to work on the RN7

Alright, can confirm this works, with some minor differences:
-new interface (just personal preference)
-library workaround was applied automatically
I also have selinux permissive and MusicFX disabled (app frozen).
The package I used is Viper4Android FX Legacy. The new version, Viper4Android 2.7, did not work for me.
My ROM is HavocOS.
Hi all, I have a Mediapad M3 lite 10 (BAH-W09) obtained in China. It's currently running Emui 5.1.3 and Android 7.0 u rooted. Im currently trying to install a Google system on it for work purposes. I've tried using GMSinstaller but the whole apk is blocked. [App may damage your device, installation forbidden]. There is no option in the security menu to prevent checks on apks. I've also tried to manually installing the framework and play services but the play store still asks to install the core GMS packages. Is there a work around for this?

When I switched off and on the external sources/third party app radio buttons, there was an option to "Enable external sources app to scan..." that was enabled by default. I disabled that tick box and it never checked any APK's again.

So I installed lineage 14.1 yayyy finally!
I need help with two things.
EDIT: My phone is sm-j510H
First off and most important I can't get spotify to work via bluetooth in my car phone calls work just fine which is what's mind boggling lol
Steps I took:
I made sure Media was selected in the bluetooth thing for the pairing.
I reset the bluetooth cache (and network since it was together)
I tried installing a magisk calle bluetooth library patcher v2.2 by 3arthur6 but it says it's irrelevant on aosp roms
Any other solutions i can try?
My second issue is I'm trying to install the stock samsung rom for contacts. I found the APK on APK mirror so I downloaded this version:

But the problem is when i try to install it it says:" app not installed the package conflicts with an existing package by the same name"
I looked this up and i downloaded apk editor. Here i choose the apk. Choose common edit. Change install location to internal storage (was not specified).
Problem now is that when I try to run the new package it installs but just crashes out no error other than:"contacts keeps stopping"
Any help?
I really only want the ability to slide = call if you know what i mean...

Only a few ones with a lot of stuff could be use on other roms like aosp or other
You should use Google apps or other non specific apps for aosp
And about that problem with bt
If you can hear a things on your car while calls then it's all fine and maybe something wrong with your Spotify (idk what exactly sooo storage)
Just play an offline music player and see how it's going
Also isn't linage 14 is sooo old??!!

I'm using lineageOS 14 because I can't get any other rom to work lol (I did manage to get odysse to work but i didn't like it)
I'm using the sm-j510h which seems to not be compatible with many roms unfortunately
Use newer ROMs, lineage 14 is outdated.

I have 2 Smart TV box in my house, the one cannot start TV app from my cable provider. App is EON from SBB.
On another device I don't have any problems. The error is:
EON TV cant be used on this device.
This may be because your device is rooted, has a customer ROM, or somehow altered.
App stop to work 5 days before and whole device is used only for that app. I did not change anything on smart box. I try memory clear, reinstall of app, put Android on factory default and try to install again app, the issue is same.
Again, another smart box work perfect and same app on my phone without any problem.
What can be problem?
ok, just got info from provider that app will not work on rooted devices anymore.
Question now is, does return on factory default settings and reset put device back rooted? It should, right?
I will run root checker today to see.

Yes it works. Looks like your app is for EON services where activation code is required. For my country (North Macedonia) entering code for activation do not work. It work as login user/password when download this app from google store.
Is it possible to "hack" existing apk of EON TV from google store in order to avoid "this device is not supported" message ?
