Hello all,
I had a moto defy with stock rom. I rooted the device using super one click v1.7 and then flashed a moto defy plus (MB526) rooted ROM to this device. My Moto Defy has a green lens and I later came to know that I shouldn't have flashed a rom of moto defy plus to a moto defy device especially with a green lens as it is not at all supported by moto defy plus roms.
Unfortunately I cannot also downgrade back to a stock moto defy rom now and I have lost my camera for pictures as well as video. Does anyone know a workaround for this or any other stable custom rom for moto defy plus which can work with green as well as red lens.
My phone at the moment (post rooting and flashing new rooted rom) is recognised as a Moto Defy Plus with the
Android Version 2.3.6 &
Kernel Version [email protected] # 1.
If anyone knows a work around to get the camera working again it would be very helpful... Thanks in advance...

What rooted ROM did you flash?Was it a full SBF.?
Also post your build number.

I first rooted from Stock Moto Defy Rom (Froyo 2.2.2) to a stock moto defy + rom (full sbf)

That is the worst thing. You flashed a BL7 full SBF. You cannot downgrade and your camera most probably will not work ever.
I read something about a mod though that might help you.. Will look for that once I get access to my laptop. Can't promise anything yet

If you want a working camera after all this and want a stock-like feel (as far as the GUI goes) then try MSGinger5.
I have such a phone that a "wizard" mocked up and all is well with MSGinger5.
(All except that the phone reboots when not on USB/charger... but thats not because of the ROM.
It does that with all ROMs).

I rooted my Moto X Pure and I'm trying to figure out how to take the new Moto X Pure OTA update for Marshmellow. I have the TWRP recovery installed and the bootloader as well. I also have SuperSu installed. I'm still running stock Android but I have made a couple of database variable changes and a build prop change (Very minor). If someone can provide me instructions on how to proceed it will be completely appreciated.

This is for the US Moto X Pure Edition, not sure if it would work for the Style or not. So if you own the Pure Edition then this should work perfectly for you.

i was using international stock 5.1 rom (i9500) in Pakistan with gsm unlock (means sim 3g was working fine) .
i just flashed cm13 rom & sim not working (not getting signal)
then i flashed oct mm rom & same issue
i flashed cm12 snapshot & got same issue.
Please help me guys .. please advise solution ?

i didnt sell moto x .. i just reverted it to 5.1.1 AICP 08-28-15 build !
that only 1 rom has no bug of calling (speaker - earphone) & i used it a lot in pakistan
i gave moto x to younger sister & purchased S4
if i compare moto x vs s4 .. i like moto x most !
although s4 is powerfull .. but s4 camera is tooooo poor !
right now i m having no sim card issue while flashing MM or L roms (any) so i m just searching the right answer !
So aicp 08-28-15 build doesnt have those bug and later build have the bug?

I was thinking if is possible to install the version "unified" CM11 on our moto X play.
I think about unified because that runs in some different devices.
I prefer Kitkat than LL or MM, because I can do a Reverse tether on KK (using internet PC on phone), and the lockscreen is very very better than now.
Someone already tried that?
