Today, DE Note 4 Please allow us 4 weeks to receive the item. - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 General

I went back and found the 2014 backorder conformation email for my (DE Note 4).
On the confirmation email there was a link for the (DE Note 4) that I put on backorder back in 2014. The link took me to my old shopping cart showing one (GN4 DEVELOPER DEVICE, SM-N910VMKEVZW).
It gave me the option and I changed the number. I changed it to (4). It updated the order and I clicked on the SAVE BACK ORDER button. I got a new confirmation email with the same link. I kept using the link until i had ordered a total of (12) of the (GN4 DEVELOPER DEVICE, SM-N910VMKEVZW). After I ordered (12) of the (GN4 DEVELOPER DEVICE, SM-N910VMKEVZW) the link stopped working. I don't know why but my samsung.com shopping cart shows only (4) on backorder at this time. But I have the emails confirming I have a total of (12) on backorder. I don't want to put the link on the internet because it may have personal information in the link. Check your email
I don't know if they will actually ship but I got my foot in the door.

Just to be sure everything was current, today I used a different browser, cleared all the cookies then logged on to samsung.com.
When I click on the little shopping cart then click on View Samsung Mobile Accessories Cart it takes me to
Home > Cell Phone Accessories > Shopping Cart and it shows that I have (4) of the GN4 DEVELOPER DEVICE, SM-N910VMKEVZW on backorder.

But when I go to http://www.samsung.com/us/ then click on the tab "Owners & Support" then click on "Samsung Account" it takes me to the "My Account" page then I click on the little box that says "Orders " and it shows I have a total of (12) of the (GN4 DEVELOPER DEVICE, SM-N910VMKEVZW) on backorder.

I'm going to wait the four weeks then give Samsung a call. It looks to me that my order are legit and I am in the system. Maybe if more people would put in a backorder Samsung would be more likely to restock the phone. You can always cancel the order if you don't need the phone.

Right now, Because I have it in chase memory, when I click on the link you posted it shows my shopping cart with 4 of the DE Note 4. the first time was from a email Samsung sent me Back in 2014. Anyone that backordered the DE Note 4 last year, should have one of those conformation emails.

I was able to add one, and got a confirmation email also. So I have one on back order too.

The Note 4 DE, albeit a fantastic phone, is rapidly becoming obsolete, especially when ordered in quantities for resale. Buying one for myself is one thing. But I don't think you'll make much of a profit by selling all these Note 4 DE's. That ship has sailed, imo.

This is a sad truth. Though at the same time people do say that when one becomes available it is gobbled up.
So maybe just a few? Though I wouldn't expect to keep it up. Then again if they are still $700 on the site they would have to be sold for more than that for profit......And that makes the likely hood even less.
What's even more sad is the lack of development for the developer edition makes it even less worth it. You're basically just paying for root.

Not so Good News for Us

Per my chat this morning:
GeraldC: I have checked on the order details and I can see that yes, your current order is being back ordered. Due to the high demand of the device our inventory isn't able to suffice all order from activations and upgrades. The estimated delivery date is 6 weeks from the date the order was made.

Hope your right. I went to my local t mobile store on Saturday and the rep told me that my note 4 should be delivered on the 16th or 17th. He said he was pretty confident of that. Sidenote.. on my order status page under order history it does say backorder where it use to say pending shipping.....hopefully that's because it is not available yet.
I order mine by 9:06 am that day.
I doubt not many people would want a phone this big + its not an apple.

Mine doesn't say backordered, but it really doesn't matter. Their whole system is messed up.
I preordered mine Sept. 27th. Then on Oct. 3rd my status went to being processed and on back order. That's when I did an online chat and I posted the results in the OP. This is for the Note 4.

Stores get them sometimes a full week before release dates. Sometimes they even do a "soft release" when they have it in stock but not on display. You have to know they have it in stock and request it though and there is no way to know that unless a rep tells you or you are in there asking every day.
I got my vibrant (sgs1) this way.... was in store looking to upgrade from my G1 to a g2... saw someone looking at a vibrant right next to me playing Avatar on it n I was like.. "ummmmmm, what phone is that?" Told it was a vibrant, not officially on sale till the next week but I could get it now if I requested it by name cause they had them in stock and were doing a "soft release".
nice thats next friday. hopefully they dont sell out.
same thing happened last year which is why I just go to the store...usually a small line, but you will get one (this is not the iphone)

Yea, I don't think I'm going to pre-order again in the future, this whole process does seem messy.
For my situation, I have a 4 Year Anniversary so I decided I'd get us a pair of Note 4s. I called the rep and one I was just going to order on my account and the other I was just paying outright for it. Well the rep couldn't process them both at the same time because it triggered some fraud warning. (Oh I was also ordering one of the WiFi calling routers). So after a bit of a hold she came back and said she would have to separate each item and buy them on separate days.
So that day I got the Black one ordered, the next day she called back and got the white one ordered, and finally the 3rd day she called back to order to the WiFi calling router. At that point everything looked great, all orders pending, I was a happy camper (though still wasn't liking the fact that it appears I would get it a couple days after release due to shipping, which after reading the posts here seems like that might be debatable and they might actually arrive early).
Well fast forward a couple days, I was checking the orders cause I'm crazy and impulsive like that and just noticed an update. On my Black N4 and Router they both say 'Pending' still. My White N4 however is now saying backorder! Having a bit of a freakout cause its an anniversary present and timing is critical. And to make matters worse, everyone I seem to talk to says something a bit different and so I've come to the conclusion that nobody really knows. Some say 'Oh our system just says that, but there will be plenty available' or 'I'm sure it will still be sent on time because we haven't had that many orders come in' to 'Oh, yes there has been a very high demand, maybe you can give the one that does make it and yours will just have to wait' or 'The system had a minor glitch and has now been corrected, because of this we now have an update on our stock and thus many orders have been changed accordingly'.
Sooooo yea. Here is keeping my fingers crossed, but just wanted to share that on my account I have two order and one says Pending and the other says Backorder.
Edit: Just to let you know this order process was on 9/24 (black one), 9/25 (white one), 9/26 (router).

Historically, when do samsung preorders ship?

I ordered a s7 edge through verizon but I have an issue with the delivery date. They are saying they should hit the stores March 11, but I will be in Texas for my Sister in laws wedding from March 9th until the 12th. So the issue is should I keep my delivery for my home in Colorado or have it sent to Texas.
Do the preorders usually go out early? I would think it would only be fair if people who pre-ordered to get it before people can get it at the stores.
Well for T-Mobile USA they sent the S6 a week early for some users. Verizon tends to be on the dot maybe a day early in most cases.
Anyone know how BestBuy handles pre-orders for online shipping?
IIRC, I pre-ordered the s6 edge last year from Verizon (online) and it came 1 day before the release date.
Follow my preorder thread in the discussion threads, I'll update it as soon as any news about early devices being shipped pops. Verified news, not he/she says.
Last year tmo sent devices a week early so I'd imagine the same again regardless.

Since it is going to other countries and carriers first I should hope there will be some left if I get mine a day late or something. One of the main reasons I ordered it was for the VR gear and I would be super ticked if they ran out!

I am a little bothered by this article saying there will only be 300,000 VR units given in the US. I wonder how many pre orders there will be. I think you receive a VR gear based off of what number you are in the pre order list, not whenever you happened to get your phone. If you get yours late, you might miss your shot. But the way they are advertising it makes it seem like nearly everyone will get one. I hope that is the case.

I'm sure there will be a lot of cancellations if this is the case.
My AT&T preorder says shipping on the 7th to arrive on the 8th. Many sites are reporting preorders will be out 3 days early from the official launch on the 11th.
I just talked to 2 verizon reps and the first one said the phone should arrive on the 11th, and the other checked with her manager and said it would ship out on the eleventh and not arrive until the 14th. To me it makes no sense that the people who preordered will get there phone 2 days after the phone comes out in the store.
I am not throwing any fits because it is unfair, but this is a issue for me because I don't know where to have the phone shipped. And like my earlier post said, it seems that they are only giving out around 300,000 VR Gears, so if I am a couple days late getting it, I may lose my chance at getting the VR gear. ?

I pre-ordered from Best Buy so they will ship the VR with the phone. Also getting a free 64gb SD card.
My S6 edge was delivered on March 30th (T-Mobile), and (I think) the release date was somewhere around April 10th. So, don't be too surprised if you get a shipped confirmation email in the next week or so.
Also plan on getting mine through BestBuy. Seems like less of a hassle than waiting "4-6" weeks for the GearVR to come in.
That does sound nice, but I didn't really want to fork out 300 and be stuck in a contract. I might contact samsung and verizon and try to get some assurance that there will be enough to go around. Otherwise, I might cancel and hold out to see what the V10 sequel has in store.

That link actually proves that you need the IMEI and WiFi address.
First, they mention in the text on that page that you need to fill out the form and submit a receipt. That doesn't say what info is required for the form so it does not suffice as a counter-example, nor any evidence that the receipt is the only information you need.
Secondly, that page provides a link to the actual terms and clicking through you can see that the section on submitting the claim explicitly lists the IMEI number (3.b.iii) and the WiFi MAC address (3.b.iv) in addition to the receipt.
So, IMEI and WiFI MAC are certainly required to claim the Gear VR...

Same! i feel like very few people go in a store just to preorder, ya know? If you're preordering a smartphone, you most likely have internet access, ergo, not getting a paper receipt
Yes they allow screenshots of the receipts. I did that last time with the Note 5 for the free Netflix.
On sprint you have to add the gear vr manually or purchased manually and the CS said it comes together as a package.

This. I just ordered two S7 Edges to get one half off and when I added the Gear VR it zeroed out. Only thought it would work for one VR but I decided to add another and still $0. It wasn't til I added the 3rd VR that the price went up.

I pre-ordered from Best Buy online, and it appears that the two free items are coming to me from Best Buy directly.
I received my phone and have to wait till the 4th. The Samsung offer website only allows me to input my email to be notified when it's up I guess.
Looks like I will be out of town the week the vr form is open and when the phone comes in from att. Do I need the phone or can I use the emailed receipt? If I need the phone will they keep allowing the orders to come in for the free vr till the end date since I will be out of town?

Just got my S7 Edge today and had the same experience trying to claim the perks. Nice to find this thread and that I am not alone in trying to figure this out.
Its always better to buy in a shop , mainly because you get to see the phone in real life , plus if there is something wrong with the phone you swap it on the spot , also shops have coupons to claim the free vr as well

Well if t-mobile gave us our pre-order phones in store 2 weeks before the official release date that would be great but we all know that's not happening.
Website is live to claim the VR. Just finished the process. Make sure to have a copy of receipt for final steps.

I attached my purchase confirmation email from T-Mobile. It has all of the information they should need, hopefully that works.
I just submitted as well. I printed my payment processing email from T-Mobile to a PDF file as my receipt and listed the date that they charged me as the date of purchase (transaction date as listed in the email) - it wasn't clear if they wanted the order date or the date that the purchase was actually processed so I went with the latter. Hopefully they spot both dates when they go to match it up.
I just completed my claim form as well.
I know someone is going to ask so you need 4 things to process the claim:
-Date of Purchase
-IMEI (In Settings>About Phone)
-Wi-Fi MAC ADDRESS (In Settings>About Phone)
-Photo of your Receipt (I sent a PDF of a email I got from t-mobile that says "Here's your Receipt" which includes the information they request on the receipt being, Qualifying Purchase or Lease, Date of Purchase or Lease within the purchase period, and the Name on the Receipt must match the name on the offer claim form.)

It probably already shipped. T-Mobile just didn't email you the tracking number yet. If you call T-Mobile and use the automated system to track your order, it will give you a shipping/tracking number.
My card was charged as well for a "pending transaction " though dated for the 7th. They will most likely ship on the 7th, I placed my order on the 27th

I placed mine on March 1st as well but see no charges yet. T-Mobile contract is they won't charge you until they are ready to ship the device so that may be a good sign for you.

I already ordered the Free Wireless charger. I currently have a GS6 with Samsung Pay. I just added my Wells Fargo card (since it is now accepted). The offer does not specify you need a Galaxy S7.

I'm in the same boat placed my order on the first and got charged last night. They're only supposed to charge your card once the item has shipped so if you want you can make a fuss to customer service and get a little money refunded.
Well they just changed my status to shipped so we'll see what that really means soon
My card still not charged but the order page shows it excepted to ship on Monday or Tuesday.... so we shall see
No status update yet, still shows 3/4. Card has been charged now. No tracking number or confirmation has been given

I ordered mine on the 2nd (early evening, so maybe that counts as the 3rd?) So I'm hoping maybe Monday it ships, if not Tuesday.
I'm trying to time my order so I get it on either Thursday or Friday(My 2 days off before I go outta town) it was backordered but said available to ship on the 7th. Now says 4-7 days again.
Are you all using JOD? I've used JOD before and never was charged anything at the time of switch, but that was in store I wonder if that matters
I used jod via customer care on 2/23 and they place a 1.00 hold on the card until the order is filled then it releases. BTW I received mine on 3/1

I know this wasn't directed at me but. I ordered it in Titanium and am backordered till Monday or Tuesday. Seems the Silver Titanium is a very popular color haha. I've seen it at best buy its amazing looking.

Explore and automated call system tell me processing.
So my shipping status still says ready for ups, so I'm assuming it won't actually ship until Monday and I'll receive Tuesday or Wednesday

So my shipping status still says ready for ups, so I'm assuming it won't actually ship until Monday and I'll receive Tuesday or Wednesday

Did you get any txt notifications that your card was charged and or its waiting to be shipped?

Burned by the n7 and now again by the s8! Good-bye samsung!

So I preordered the S8 on 4.12.17 on Samsung's website. At checkout, I was given the option of the free VR gear gift, or the imersive bundle for $100 more. I chose the imersive VR bundle and paid full weight on both.
Yesterday, I receive my phone and only my phone. I figured ok, they will send the imersive pack separately on cheaper shipping. Today, over 24 hours after I receive my phone, I get my tracking email. The email states that both items were shipped in one package, and that it was delivered on 4.19. So I call Samsung, wait on hold for 2 hours when the girl on the phone tells me it looks like there was a shipping mistake and that there are no more imersive bundles left. She said she would send an email up the chain, and could give me no more information!
At this point all I know is that I didn't get what I paid for, and probably won't, and have no clue when this will be resolved. I am so fed up right now with Samsung's screwups.

If you're like me, I got an email about two items shipped. But really it was just the phone and a "pre installed SIM card". The Immersive bundle is supposed to take 6-8 weeks to be delivered. I doubt you were supposed to get it with the phone. Does your email say specifically the immersive bundle??

When I click on the tracking button it says, 1 package 2lbs delivered. It was supposed to be shipped together. 1 box with everything. Others that weren't screwed over received 1 box with everything on the 19th. Welcome to my hell pal, you got screwed too.

Yeah he is right the regular VR kit was takes 6-8 weeks. The $100 option was said to ship within 2-3 days.
The thread here is all about samsung.com order issues the past few days.

I posted this in the "Where to pre-order?" thread on April 2. Samsung.com is, was, and likely to continue to be horrible.
Anyone here get tangled up in the Note7 recall? A lesson to be learned is that if there's a problem with the phone in general or yours in particular where you buy it makes a difference.
The mass market B&M retailers including Best Buy were incredibly difficult for people to deal with. Target and Walmart being exceptionally bad. Online, Amazon was fantastic and B&H gets honorable mention. Ironically Samsung.com get's a resounding "F." People who pre-ordered from them were the last to get their phones and they were clueless and helpless during the recall. Samsung.com isn't run by Samsung. It's run by Digital River on their behalf. I've had problems even ordering accessories from them. I'd stay far away. People that bought grey market phones from eBay in many cases were either left with no refund or spent inordinate amounts of time trying to get their Note7's refunded. So - Caveat Emptor,

Thanks but 3 days to late for me unfortunately. I had no idea what a garbage operation they where until it was to late​
I've been on the phone with them multiple times now, and have yet to feel like the person on the other end of the phone was knowledge about any aspect of my order. I'm so angry and disgusted right now.

Get used to that feeling I've talked to them all and they are all completely incompetent from rep to supervisor. Let me put you on a brief 1 to 2 minute hold while i get a supervisor gets old after an hour of BS.
